    I love how the music follows the drug addict...heavy at the beginning, needing it, and then that beautiful interlude where the guitars take you on your high (getting it) and then heavy again because the ride is over and you need it again...ritual misery...what a masterpiece.

  • @JoeSmith-ey2xp

    The middle mellow part represents when you get your fix, coming down, then the frantic need coming once again.

  • @timmholl9238
    @timmholl9238 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    The light, melodic music in the middle is like the high of the drug being expressed through music. It speeds up as you come down from the high and the need for another fix. Absolute brilliant song writing.

    If you love great guitar playing then try the 80s & 90s Canadian Blues Rocker from Toronto Ontario Canada call (Jeff Healey) he's a blind guitar player who plays amazing guitar, he played the guitar flat on his lap not holding it like a regular guitar player does. Sadly he passed away in 2008, his group was called (The Jeff Healey Band). Some of my favourite songs of his are
    - Adriana (a single from 1986 not found on any of his albums there is an actual video for this song)
    - See The Light
    - Confidence Man
    - Angel Eyes
    - I think I love you too much
    - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Beatles Cover)
    - how long can a man be strong
    - lost in your eyes
    - I got a line on you
    - Stuck In The Middle With You
    - I tried
    - Roadhouse Blues (Doors cover) (from the film Roadhouse starring Patrick Swayz, the Jeff Healey band appeared in the movie)
    All these songs have actual videos. If you really want to see Jeff Healey in his best look for live performances of him
    Also Jeff Healey was a great trumpet player he formed a jazz band called (Jeff Healey and The Jazz Wizards) try some of their music too.

    I enjoyed your reaction, you got a new sub from me. I've been binging reactions to this song and I'm shocked by how many people aren't able to figure out the meaning of this song. IMO if you haven't figured it out by the end of the first half of the song then you have no business reacting to music. So many people have jumped on this band wagon of reaction oriented channels without understanding why we the viewers enjoy them. You can't just react to a video and not at the very least try and break it down and get to a deeper meaning. It's clear to me many reactors simple react for the views and nothing else, trash content no thanks.

    - Heading out to the Highway
    - Some Heads are Gonna Roll
    - Turbo Lover
    Krokus;
    Screaming in the Night
    *Be sure to pull up the lyrics with each one. Metal is a form of lyrical art that is best appreciated when you analyze and understand the meaning of each song. IMO it’s best to start with studio versions, as some live versions are messed with by the bands and if you aren’t familiar with the song or it’s meaning, it can loose some of its ability to convey its true meaning/definition of the song when it’s done more casually in a live setting. Just a thought.. Best of luck in your metal journey!

    Excellent choice. Enter Sandman is another good one. If you want to try another metal band, Iron Maiden's song Hallowed Be Thy Name is a good place to start. If you want pure aggression and speed try Slayer. Antichrist is short bit what a ride. Make sure you find a vid with lyrics.
