I do own a manual m240i and I must say that I am very much considering an automatic gearbox upgrade just beause those gear changes are so blumming fast :O
I wonder how these settings influence shifting in manual mode for the ZF8HP50? I'll need to play around with this setting as I drive exclusively in that mode.
I have also the LCI M240 with the new dashpanel. When i shift in the fast setting the Gearbox shifts faster then the RPM needle shows it. Does your car do the same?
I like the slow upshift in Eco Pro when everything is set to default. Unfortunately, it doesn't downshift quickly with throttle blips. Do you think it is possible to set the upshift to slow in comfort or sport and the downshift with throttle blips to very fast? That sounds the nicest to me.
You could try increasing the throttle blip aggressiveness but I don’t think there’s a specific setting otherwise that affects the speed of downshifts only.
did u mess with torque reduction? not sure what to change but i want to maintain reliability, stay on either stage 2 or 3 xhp but have the settings so that the shifts sound as good as possible, i need some shift farts
@@mevans8646I’m trying to get shift braps pr whatever there called, I was stave 2 xhp wasn’t getting so I went stave 3 thinking I would get them still don’t, I get one going from 2-3 but no more any other gears, do I turn the ignition cut shifting option off and just do +5% for the tourqe reduction in each gear? I’m +20 each gear and don’t hear any shift sounds
@@f22_b58 if you have the ignition cut shifting option, that’s what’ll give you the fart noise. As far as I’m aware, my car doesn’t have that option in XHP so I haven’t messed with it.
@@mevans8646 ohh okay, the settings just didn’t make sense for me, you get a rpm and then nm of tourqe so I don’t understand it and if you look up on google or TH-cam “xhp ignition cut shifting” nothing shows up

@@mevans8646 I already have +50% aggressiveness 🥲 But I think that if i set the Shift Speed to slow, the downshifts will also be slow as fuck.
I never found the downshifts even in comfort to be that slow, they were always way faster than the upshifts in comfort mode with XHP.

Ive changed up the settings from the default to a couple percent torque reduction in each gear (
