Buck definatly makes a great knife. I know what you mean though for doing continuous work back locks are great, but for doing quick occasional cuts they aren't as good as a axis/ liner/ frame/ button lock and not as fidgety for sure. Thanks for the update and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

Yeah that Buck 112 dressed out caribou, broke down moose, breasted ptarmigan and spruce grouse, ducks in the fall as well as gutted and cleaned many Alaskan salmon. It also cut boxes, duct tape, made wood shavings for fire, cut onions and what not for shore lunch cooking, cut and shortened a leaking radiator hose on an overheating vehicle and many other 'thangs I can't even remember. It was always a leather snap away on the belt from cutting summer sausage and cheese to put on Sailor Boy Pilot Bread.
On another note... I'm 5'9" with small hands and the Buck 112 just always fit right in my hand. No matter the make or size of the knife or tool always get what works for you!

So much history with it. I would've been so upset losing it.
My first Buck was a 112 I bought in Alaska in 1978. Carried that knife daily until I lost it the day I left Alaska in 2006. I've since replaced it and also have a relatively new 110 but the 112 is MY knife. The new super wombat super cool super lightweight steel knives Buck makes now are all cool and the gang but not for me. I want that wood and brass. It just feels right for me. But thank you for showcasing a knife from a still American company. Mahalo!
Too bad you lost it after so many years. I've definitely been thinking about getting a "traditional" 110 or 112, probably a 112. I have a 112 Slim Select and like the size a little more than the 110. I'm carrying a walnut Opinel this month and I'm really starting to like the wood handle. Thanks for checking the video out!!!!

Yep, I think it wanted to stay. 😆 I've gotten a few more Buck 110's and 112's now.

@RandoWisLuL it's pretty much the same dimensions, but a lot lighter. It carries pretty well in pocket with the pocket clip.

if you had to EDC one knife, would you choose the Buck 110 Sport or the Benchmade 940?
Hard decision. If I had to choose only one, I think the 940 would just edge the Buck out.

Good deal on the 940. In my opinion you really cant go wrong with either.
Ask them to make this knife with a drop point blade
I'd but one in a split second! I have the regular 110 and 112 with drop points and they are great.
