Considering that Lift3 wants $10,000 to $22,000 for a eFoil that will only be use on occasion; these creative souls have proved that it doesn't take all that engineering and carbon fiber/fibre to go out and have a day of fun in the sun and water.
Good job guys. I enjoyed this quite a bit. Love the ingenuity and the spirit of the project. Thank you for doing what you do. - Seth in California, USA -
Of course we were planning to do so. Everything would fit quite creamy in the box, except the engine. You can unscrew everything within 5 min with a few screws. Unfortunately, the motor is about 10cm too long. With a shorter motor it would fit. Maybe there is a second version :)
@@enzymlefax only 10cm close but no prize .give the motor its own waterproof case that attaches to the large one is one solution , although not a pretty one lol .
You are on to something! Find a bigger case and make your foil/motor quick connect. With storage for everything in one container (including charger) then you have the complete package!
Wow, your creation is insane. See from afar, it’s like someone is hoovering over the water. Super cool. You guys need to hop on the plane to Shenzhen (深圳) to prototype and refine the product. You will probably start a new genre of light / affordable water sport. Work more on reducing the stepping board / battery container‘s drag. It seems from your video that you are having so much good time until the board touches the water.
If you bolt a piece on the nose that slopes up, it would prevent the nose from digging into the water when it dips forward. Just a thought. Other wise, fricking awesome. Oh ya. Like Tim Allen always says...."MORE POWER".
Bravo! Well done miene herren!! Thank you so much for dispelling the nonsense that commercial e-foils should cost as much as they do. I hope you get endless fun out of yours. Have you considered sourcing a better prop to increase efficiency? With love, Ken

Get rid of the rounded edges on the bottom rear and half way back. Help the water release the bottom and not roll up the sides and rear (suction). Less transition current, faster on foil.

That efficiency gain when the foiling starts. It's crazy.
That's what makes me want to build an efoil, but it's alot to get right for sure.
Good job Dude !!! its very good,, this will be a kick in the butt to the manifecturers to lower their prices

@Russ Hardy ah but when you are typing/texting it is easy to make many errors. Especially if you text fast like a blur like me.

Great engineering wow, keep it simple, but building something simple is the most difficult thing to do.
Truly amazing... Should do a video on details on the build itself...
Yeah and give me the blueprints, parts list, and step by step instructions this very minute

More aerodynamic design and you really got something here
Make that everything's fit's in the case when not used! Would be excellent 👌
And you could still fit a good sized shotgun or .30-06 in there!
.308 or .30-06?
The fuck is a .306 and where can i get one
Let me have 2 of those .306s

Geniusly mind blowing! No one had so far

Thanks bro! We tested an embarrassingly high number of different prop types. The 2- blade Propeller is the most efficient for this application.
Good i will buy it. Maybe covert a 700dollar ebike into a hydrofoil too to extend the range
That is so cool. Like to try it on Lake Erie lol
Me too! NE Ohio
Makes servicing the internals easier for sure

Create an efoil company that sells e-foils shaped like boxes so they can be mass produced. Probably hit 3k to 4k sales point. 🤯
Ihr habt ja fast meine Idee geklaut. Ich wollt schon immer mal einen alten VHS-Videorecorder leermachen, ausschäumen und foil drunter ;-)

is it dangerous to have an uncovered propeller like that in the water? i would be afraid to get cut by it if i fall. other than that, i want one!
