    I was crying inside when I saw you cut that huge hole in the load bearing side of the mast for the cable entries. Please, swap out the mast with another and drill 2 holes only big enough for one cable instead, vertically and cut vertically between them with a dremel to expand the size for 3 cables. I am impressed with your efforts on all the rest. Interesting to see 3rd party controllers and that the felix remote is using ESP32 wireless. For those who also do software and hardware, the ESP32 series is very powerful and can also be controlled through Arduino IDE.

      Yes it's true that rhe ESP32 is very powerful, that's why we used it👐

    Nice to see the project coming to an end. Seeing your design now, with some foiling experience, where do you plan to stand on? As a rule of thumb, the center of mass (mainly you) and center of lift (roughly the center of the front wing) should line up. Factoring in your stance, the rear foot is roughly over the mast (there seems to be no pad) , the front foot in front of the wing (round about the position of your VESC Box, a little in front of that, maybe the Cable channel) that looks like a "not so comfy position". for your first tests, maybe take some double sided tape and a small plywood piece with you. If the stance is in a bad spot, just tape the plywood on the board to get a flat surface for your front foot.
    Have fun with your E-Foil, cheers

    I never surfed on a hyrdofoil I hear its very hard to learn even for surfers, snowboarders. So for you to learn on this will probably be really difficult. Since you wont know if it's to little lift for you. Also I feel like you would want your foot right where small metal box is, I think you need a cover on that because you cant stand on the side without losing balance. Cool buil I wish I had one :D

    • @MaxMakerChannel
      @MaxMakerChannel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We tried it this summer. You can start by sitting on it and lifting your legs out of the water. Then you apply throttle and see if you get lift. It didn’t produce enough throttle, so for this year I have a new prop.

  • @renaud72

    How do you cool the ESC : do you have a pump to get fresh water for the cooling ?

    • @MaxMakerChannel
      @MaxMakerChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, its planned to purely sit in a bath of water. The big electronics box in the front has large drainage holes, but the ESC has none. I guess after a few minutes it could overheat the water. Then I would need to change it.

    Omg cool cant wait to see it fly i watched all the vods so far and building also one because of you🤘😂
    I have one question regarding the weight. Ive seen your board is about 18kg (foilzone) i weighted all my stuff today and im getting 29kg in total. Do you think it os too heavy?
    The only thing i can reduce some weight will be the battery (14s10p) as i havent build it yet. Ive looked at the weight of the foils you can buy and theyre about 30kg so i think it should be fine but im little nervous on tht.
    Kr and thex for the info

    • @MaxMakerChannel
      @MaxMakerChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      I cannot say for sure, but I think the weight is okay. Ultimately I think my wing is far too small. A bigger wing means more drag but also more lift. At the end of the day we just have to try it out.

      One more. You should have used the 1st motormount, and make a little cut in the front and back of the mast.
      This will stop the mount moving up and down!
      With the 2nd motormount the clamp/motor can slide up/down, cut the wires, and cause a lot of problems 😱😱

    • @MaxMakerChannel
      @MaxMakerChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it will be alright. The mount is solid printed and they are stronger than one thinks. Also I use a 0.6mm nozzle which gives better layer adhesion. I do it because 0.6mm just prints much faster than the standard 0.4mm nozzle and there are no more clogs.
