Hi Lisa great review as always. Just adding my mature skin experience with this foundation. I am 63 and definitely dry skin also in CT so my heat experience was 80 and not 100. I used the CT Hollywood filter first and then the foundation and used setting spray. I found it medium to full coverage and I built it up a bit in places. The filter gave it a beautiful light, not a full out glow and it wore beautifully the whole day and I did not touch up at all. You always make a point of mentioning how products work differently on everyone and it is so true. I actually tried my EL longwear foundation the day after to compare and have to say I like CT better at this point. Hope this was helpful. Also Cate the Great Beauty just did a video and gave a fabulous shout out and review of your beautiful brushes which I love ❤️
I've used this foundation 3 days straight since I received it, trying different methods of application - brush, sponge, combo of both, and am not happy with it at all. I'm mid-50s, with minimal wrinkles around my eyes, and found it settles around my mouth and nose, wears off easily, and is way too full coverage with even a minimal application. I didn't find it minimized my pores, but rather emphasized them instead. I much prefer her Magic Foundation and the Light Wonder Foundation to this new one. I'll be returning it ASAP (ordered off the CT website), as I can't justify keeping a $44 product I won't use again. I really wanted to like it, but disappointed it just didn't work for me. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so, but as you said, everyone is different. Works for some, not for all. LOVE your brush set, BTW! Happy I made the investment in them!

I got a sample yesterday and used it this am. It’s late afternoon and I am also in TX, so hot. I wasn’t impressed when first applied, but I do not have perfect skin like you do. I’ve also had errands, and the foundation has not worn well at all. Very disappointed and glad I got a sample. So for now,I’ll cont using Double Wear. Thank you for sharing your experience.
This was definitely full coverage but it was too full coverage for me! I feel like it emphasizes my wrinkles and pores . I was shocked since I usually love her stuff! I got shade 3 but it was way too light. I’m going to mix it with my other foundations to try and warm it up! I am obsessed with you’re foundation brush! It is amazing 😀
I like the foundation, but on my skin (combination leaning towards oily) I noticed it oxidized a bit. So, I went a bit lighter to shade = 10N & that shade worked. I applied the foundation really lightly. It came out beautiful. My pores did peek through after 4 hours. I just blotted the area & the foundation looked fine. I love the color. It gives me complexion a smooth, youthful glow. I agree with you, bit pricey & my pores peeked through, but overall nice foundation. In this case, less is more. Thank you. Cheers 😉 🌷
Love your reviews Lisa! Honestly if I had your skin I’d save a ton of money because i wouldn’t buy or wear foundation! You seriously look flawless. Charlotte’s products are beautifully packaged but a lot of the complexion products didn’t work for my more mature skin.

I so want to try some products from Charlotte Tilbury, I hoped this foundation will be the one I will go for, now I am a bit confused. What do you recommend me to try from her line? I mention I am oily combination, enlarged pores and i am 42. And thank you for a honest review!
I think I’m about done testing foundations. I have found two that I really like, a lot. My favorite is the Chanel Ultra Le Tient Velvet. The second is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. Both of these where really well on my 53 year old skin. My test is how cakey it looks by the end of day and neither of these do. Granted, they may not be considered full coverage. I think both can b built to very good coverage. I know I’d have been tempted to try this foundation. Thanks for this review. I think I’ll stick with what I like. I love your foundation brush as well. I can see why it’s selling out.

Every product have some pros n cons I like magic foundation more but still I’m very happy to have airbrush flawless foundation in my collection really enjoying both

Just sent my foundation back today. After trying to make it work for 3 days I just couldn’t justify this purchase. Once applied it did have a beautiful finish however it did nothing for my pores and after 5 hours it started breaking up on my nose, I’ve never had that issue with any foundation. By the 6th hour I noticed it would start fading on my jawline up to my cheeks, I tried different primers and used her magic cream... it just seemed like too much work for the price point and I felt I have other foundations that work better. Also I usually wear neutral in most foundations (but noticed how yellow it seemed in most reviews) I purchased a 3c in this foundation and it was spot on for me.

I have watched a lot of reviews on this foundation and some are good and some not so great. I ordered it and have worn it a couple of days and I live just south of you so I have also been in the heat. I kinda wish I had saved my money, but I will use it because I spent the money on it. Awesome review I just had mine arrive yesterday( a did the #4 but 5ml sample rouge) . So about 2! Weeks worth.. Depending. Of course I applied a dab or 2-3-4 lol but I put it back! It’s bedtime. I noticed the same for a first small ... a little goes a long way! I’m going to give the full try tomorrow... the color is beautiful but I already am noticing my fingers work best for application then my blender or the foundation stippling brush. You looked gorgeous!! Allergies and all!! Xo 😘

I have been testing this one & it seems very glowy on me, too! I had a sample & I don’t think I will be purchasing the full size. 😕 I have to touch up quite a bit during the day.
Lisa J I think I figured out why mine was so glowy! I have been trying out the Paula’s Choice Youth Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50. Yesterday I had it on without makeup & in an hour, my face was so oily & shiney! So, this morning, I used my regular MD Solar Sciences Mineral SPF with the new CT foundation & it’s not glowy at all!

My holy grail is the La Pro Girl foundation (in the hydrating version). Cheap, buildable, radiant finish, dont settle in fine lines and cruelty free. If your oily, use some powder to set it🙂. Hope that helps ☺
I'm sorry about your allergies acting up. The foundation is quite pretty on you, but it's definitely dewy vs matte. And the more dewy, the more pores are emphasized. And at the price point, you should absolutely love it. ❤💗

@@rosamariav_09 that's so sweet of you. I too have dry skin, and lean towards dewy foundations, which emphasize my pores, but it's either that or flaky skin. There's no such thing as perfection!
It seems everyone that tries this mentions it is a bit yellow. I have 6n and it starts yellow and then goes neutral. I think it can get a bit cakey looking and does show pores. This will likely be one I mix with something lighter...
I dont think this is matte I think it's natural personally its glowy on me with my dewy skin cream. I love this but I only use 1 pump and use the airbrush flawless finish powder. I just think it can get heavy quickly if you use to much.
It looks nice on the video - only YOU really know how it looks and wears, compared to your favorites! I never buy anything that says "long-wearing" since I'm over 50 and find those types of foundations settle into lines. BUT, I have found that less is more, with any foundation- for many of us! I do have the Magic foundation in a few colors, which I like, but don't reach for every day-
I wear 5N in her Magic Foundation and 6N in her Light Wonder. After ordering the samples, I took a chance with 5.5N in the Airbrush formula. It was described as olive with neutral. I moisturize and then apply with a brush, followed by a sponge. I do not go all out full coverage because I don’t need that except for special occasions. I like it and I have combo dry skin because of my Curology. I am 59. I was surprised🤷♀️. Go Charlotte!
Literally was going to ask you what the hell do you apply on your skin before you applied anything on it at all Because it looks gorgeous It’s like seeing diamond skin and then someone covering it up to look pretty. It looked so much prettier before
I have tried this for days I wanted to fall in love but there’s jus something that I don’t like about it ! I love the texture of the foundation it jus doesn’t wear as well as other brands and no way photographs as well as fenty which is so disappointing 😔

Girl you have definitely come out with the Holy Grail of all foundation brushes. I have never ever found a foundation brush that I truly am satisfied with its application until now. This brush is total magical sorcery, LOL. I wish you would come out with this exact same brush but in a smaller concealer size. The same shape and the same density but just a smaller size. This brush blends my concealer out absolutely perfectly, which has never happened in my life. Congrats on an awesome brush collection!!! I love everyone I purchased.
Ironic this video was released today. I was at Nordtrom's today being typed for my correct shade of this foundation. I did not have time to sit for a complete application on my whole face. The Charlotte Tilbury makeup artist explained that this foundation has to dry thoroughly after applying before proceeding with the rest of your makeup. She also advised that using Charlotte's Magic Cream is an essential part of the result. She gave me a generous sample which is great since I did not want to purchase it until I know if it will work for me. I presently have a sample of Charlotte's Magic Cream but I feel it's too oily for my skin (I have mature skin but it's not too dry) and also too pricey for a moisturizer. When I try this foundation I will use my usual moisturizer (Dermalogica Active Moist) and Tatcha The Silk Canvas primer. It does look like a great foundation but will have to see how it performs.
This foundation gives an oily look on your face. I don't like that 🥴. I haven't find my foundation yet 😪😔. I am starting to believe that my face wasn't meant to wear foundation. Any advise for oily skin foundation with spf 30 or higher?
I used it with the Beekman 1802 primer with SPF and the Tatcha liquid canvass. I mixed the foundation with the Flawless Filter and it lasted a long time. I used your Contour Foundation brush.
Great review but I feel like I am being hit over the head with the advertising of your brushes. It's wonderful that it's a good brush but could not every video go into a sales spiel over them.

I was SO disappointed with this foundation! Returning it. It came off around my nose and mouth and broke up so bad !!! And it clung to dry patches like crazy. And even when first applied and it looked it's best, it was the most unnatural looking foundation ever. Charlotte Tilbury is my favorite brand. I own most of her products, and this was the first one to disappoint.
Am not impressed with Charlotte Tilbury products..and on a previous video I indicated what issues I have had such as blistered/peeling lips from their Pillow Talk lipstick...oh, and same happened with just the lip liner too...and an eyeshadow palette which made my eyelids peel ! Ugh! Returned the items and they refunded...but am way leery of buying anything Tilbury! SIDE NOTE: yes, you are sold out of your BK 101 foundation brush...i tried to order😢
I picked up a small sample from Nordstrom and I’ve tried it once so far. I actually mixed in a small amount of the light wonder foundation and I liked it like that. CT magic foundation is a holy grail product for me and I would be curious to see your thoughts on how they compare. I know they’re different formulas, but I think I love the magic foundation much more. Thanks!

Try adding a drop of oil and putting it on over very hydrated skin and a hydrating primer. I got a very good result that way.

I have been testing this one & it seems very glowy on me, too! I had a sample & I don’t think I will be purchasing the full size. 😕 I have to touch up quite a bit during the day.

Lisa J I think I figured out why mine was so glowy! I have been trying out the Paula’s Choice Youth Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50. Yesterday I had it on without makeup & in an hour, my face was so oily & shiney! So, this morning, I used my regular MD Solar Sciences Mineral SPF with the new CT foundation & it’s not glowy at all!

I rarely wear a full coverage foundation- I like sheer glowy , fresh skin like foundation and for full coverage days I absolutely love my Too Faced Born This Way 💗

My holy grail is the La Pro Girl foundation (in the hydrating version). Cheap, buildable, radiant finish, dont settle in fine lines and cruelty free. If your oily, use some powder to set it🙂. Hope that helps ☺

The foundation is quite pretty on you, but it's definitely dewy vs matte. And the more dewy, the more pores are emphasized. And at the price point, you should absolutely love it. ❤💗

It seems everyone that tries this mentions it is a bit yellow. I have 6n and it starts yellow and then goes neutral. I think it can get a bit cakey looking and does show pores. This will likely be one I mix with something lighter...
I dont think this is matte I think it's natural personally its glowy on me with my dewy skin cream. I love this but I only use 1 pump and use the airbrush flawless finish powder. I just think it can get heavy quickly if you use to much.
I hope it works for me. I haven’t used mine yet. I do have oily/combo skin.
It looks nice on the video - only YOU really know how it looks and wears, compared to your favorites! I never buy anything that says "long-wearing" since I'm over 50 and find those types of foundations settle into lines. BUT, I have found that less is more, with any foundation- for many of us! I do have the Magic foundation in a few colors, which I like, but don't reach for every day-
I wear 5N in her Magic Foundation and 6N in her Light Wonder. After ordering the samples, I took a chance with 5.5N in the Airbrush formula. It was described as olive with neutral. I moisturize and then apply with a brush, followed by a sponge. I do not go all out full coverage because I don’t need that except for special occasions. I like it and I have combo dry skin because of my Curology. I am 59. I was surprised🤷♀️. Go Charlotte!

I have tried this for days I wanted to fall in love but there’s jus something that I don’t like about it ! I love the texture of the foundation it jus doesn’t wear as well as other brands and no way photographs as well as fenty which is so disappointing 😔

Girl you have definitely come out with the Holy Grail of all foundation brushes. I have never ever found a foundation brush that I truly am satisfied with its application until now. This brush is total magical sorcery, LOL. I wish you would come out with this exact same brush but in a smaller concealer size. The same shape and the same density but just a smaller size. This brush blends my concealer out absolutely perfectly, which has never happened in my life. Congrats on an awesome brush collection!!! I love everyone I purchased.

Ironic this video was released today. I was at Nordtrom's today being typed for my correct shade of this foundation. I did not have time to sit for a complete application on my whole face. The Charlotte Tilbury makeup artist explained that this foundation has to dry thoroughly after applying before proceeding with the rest of your makeup. She also advised that using Charlotte's Magic Cream is an essential part of the result. She gave me a generous sample which is great since I did not want to purchase it until I know if it will work for me. I presently have a sample of Charlotte's Magic Cream but I feel it's too oily for my skin (I have mature skin but it's not too dry) and also too pricey for a moisturizer. When I try this foundation I will use my usual moisturizer (Dermalogica Active Moist) and Tatcha The Silk Canvas primer. It does look like a great foundation but will have to see how it performs.

This foundation gives an oily look on your face. I don't like that 🥴. I haven't find my foundation yet 😪😔. I am starting to believe that my face wasn't meant to wear foundation. Any advise for oily skin foundation with spf 30 or higher?
I used it with the Beekman 1802 primer with SPF and the Tatcha liquid canvass. I mixed the foundation with the Flawless Filter and it lasted a long time. I used your Contour Foundation brush.
Great review but I feel like I am being hit over the head with the advertising of your brushes. It's wonderful that it's a good brush but could not every video go into a sales spiel over them.

I was SO disappointed with this foundation! Returning it. It came off around my nose and mouth and broke up so bad !!! And it clung to dry patches like crazy. And even when first applied and it looked it's best, it was the most unnatural looking foundation ever. Charlotte Tilbury is my favorite brand. I own most of her products, and this was the first one to disappoint.

Am not impressed with Charlotte Tilbury products..and on a previous video I indicated what issues I have had such as blistered/peeling lips from their Pillow Talk lipstick...oh, and same happened with just the lip liner too...and an eyeshadow palette which made my eyelids peel ! Ugh! Returned the items and they refunded...but am way leery of buying anything Tilbury! SIDE NOTE: yes, you are sold out of your BK 101 foundation brush...i tried to order😢

I picked up a small sample from Nordstrom and I’ve tried it once so far. I actually mixed in a small amount of the light wonder foundation and I liked it like that. CT magic foundation is a holy grail product for me and I would be curious to see your thoughts on how they compare. I know they’re different formulas, but I think I love the magic foundation much more. Thanks!
