This is my first time on your channel and I've gotta say, I found this to be the most informative review of the CT foundation I've seen. I'm baffled why a high end brand like CT would make a product that oxidizes so drastically. What a pain in the tush to try to figure out the correct shade. Thx for sharing this!

I watched your video before going to CT store and it truly helped a lot! Also, kudos to the makeup artist at CT Westfield London store who picked the right match for my face - recognising that it would oxidise, she offered me a two shades lighter tone - Cool 2 and it really looks fantastic. Also, as someone who spends over 12h everyday out of home working in the City, I must say this is perhaps my first foundation ever that truly lasts as long as it promises and does not melt in the heated tube trains. However, the oxidation is a big warning about this foundation, but if chosen wisely it truly provides a wonderful result on my skin (which is on the oily side, by the way, so even trickier!). Thanks for your video, everyone who considers buying this foundation should watch it first!
Thank you for the review, I feel this was very thorough and honest compared to all the other ones. I have chosen not to purchase it, it seems to complicated. Truly thank you, I would of wasted money on something I would have disliked.
I feel like the magic foundation is brill for those days where u just want a lightweight medium coverage but can build up on areas if u have acne, scaring etc for day to day but airbrush flawless is better for nights out, date nights etc. I can defiantly see myself using both depending on the occasion x
When I first applied the foundation the color was to light but it does state to let it dry for ten minutes for true color to come out so fine. Initially the coverage was perfect! It looked so smooth and flawless matte as stated airbrushes. I had to put it under a test and wear it to work. After just a few hours it started to break down in the creases of my skin. I have normal combo skin in the summer and really dry skin in the winter. By midnight my skin looked so greasy and the foundation broke down even more it looked like it was melting off my skin. As of right now I’m disappointed!
Am I the only one who doesn’t like this foundation? For some reason it always separates around the nose and looks so cakey....I’m really disappointed in it...I love the magic foundation as it looks like second skin and I was so hopeful, but it is so visible on the skin 😢😢😢
I got a sample at Sephora yesterday and tried it on today. It was thick and sticky. I applied Laura Mercier powder over it. I felt I had a mask on. I couldn't stand it more than an hour. I washed it off and went back to my Mac Studio Fix.
Susan S. I felt like that the first time I wore it and could actually feel it tightening my skin, but I’ve realised I had put too much on, you really only need a tiny amount applied with a brush and a very moisturised face.

I've decided to wait and be shade matched in store. I could certainly get away with 3C but that may not be the optimal shade. I tried 3C and 4N from a sample card and thought they both oxidized lighter on my skin. The shade you're wearing in this video looks seamless. I'd be interested in seeing a video on CT foundations. I swatched 7N, 7.5N and 7.5W on my hand and waited like 5 mins to see the real shades. Shade 7N literally turns from a medium olive to oompah loompah orange within seconds. None of the other two shades oxidised anywhere near as much. The formulation has to be a tad bit different where some have A LOT of pigment that develops. The sales assistant said that she too noticed that shade 7 had one of the weirdest colour changes compared to all the rest.

This foundation is incredible! I didn't think anything would top my love for NARS but I love this! It's full coverage but it's undetectable on my skin, and requires so little powder I love it! Wears for hours and hours.
That’s true! I don’t need much powder at all and it lasts all day. In the video I think I applied too much (it was hard to tell from the sample versus pumping a bottle) but today I’m wearing less and I love it! Xx
Just received this today in 1 neutral, thought straight away this is so light but after few minutes it blends so well and I was getting ready to send it back. So relieved! Phew 😅
Have you considered that you’re very clearly not a warm skin tone. Neutral maybe for some brands, but I would actually say you’re cool. You have no obvious yellow cast to your skin but you’re using a more yellow based shade, so I don’t feel like you’ve given the foundation a fair crack of the whip. Of course they’re going to look more oxidised and orange when they were yellow to start with on a pink inner arm. I’d love to see you try a cool shade! And I don’t mean offence, I just see too many beautiful TH-camrs like you wearing warm/neutral foundation when they’re more cool toned. x
I’m wearing a neutral shade in the video, it’s not warm, but I’m definitely not cool toned. I regularly sunless tan which makes me VERY warm. Regardless I always use a neutral foundation. I know lighting can be tricky but in person I’m not even close to cool. All of these foundation shades oxidize darker, not necessarily orange but deeper so it doesn’t matter what undertone you are it’s important to choose wisely. Xx

I think you should mix both her foundations and see how that works. I'm trying to decide between her foundation and Guerlain's. Hmmmmmm. Would you recommend it for dry skin?

I'm really struggling with this foundation finding it drys really cakey around my eyes really sinks in showing up lines 😔 maybe I'm using to much? not sure what I'm doing wrong? Don't have this problem with any other foundation? I use the Charlotte Tilbury magic cream tried putting it on with brushes and my hands really do rub it in well to any advice appreciated x
I really enjoyed your video, most informative than other reviews. I wondered if you use a sunscreen and if so would you apply it before moisturizer since this foundation needs the rich moisture for optimal results? I always use sunscreen and usually apply last step of my skincare routine.
I tried this foundation the same way she did and it was still dry and separated on the face. Also, it came off easily when I wiped my face. It’s beautiful when you first apply, but a few minutes into it and it falls apart, I returned it.

I still prefer the Guerlain :) I used way too much product in this video, today I’m wearing much less and it’s better... it didn’t feel heavy but it looked like a mask lol xx
Just yesterday I tried a sample of this that I received from a Nord purchase....got the perfect color right off the bat. Goodness, I don’t need another foundation, but why not, I really like it. :-)
I'm really curious about this foundation but my main issue is not being able to be shade-matched in person (being in Australia) so I have to rely on limited sample shades and haven't really used her other foundations or the right Magic Away shade. The one I originally purchased was too light so I use it as a highlighter. Great video though. I'm not used to using full coverage foundations, just Radiant Defense from Rodan + Fields but that's a skin perfector - not makeup.
Excellent and informative video; the best I've seen on this product. However, there is no way I'm going to buy specific products of the same brand just so the foundation will work; not happening. Her Magic Cream sold in the US contains different ingredients than the one sold overseas; the US one makes my skin itch and burn and smells highly of spf whereas the overseas one does not and my skin loved it. You can't order it and have it sent to the US as it is not allowed so...if this product is meant to work with her cream and you can't use the US version then you're stuck. I also am not going to play the game with changing of color after dry-down. There are too many other foundations on the market that do NOT have this issue so why bother with one that does? Last, it's not meant for dry skin. It's interesting how so many of the recent foundations tend to have the same negative issues; wonder why? (Except Guerlain : ) )
That’s very true! There are so many great foundation options available there’s no reason to ever settle. If you don’t like the idea of priming with Magic cream or another moisturizer it’s worth skipping this one :) xx
Seems like there will definitely be a lot of returns on this foundation until people are able to find their right shade! I have already read several reviews that ppl have returned like 3 and 4 bottles just trying to find their perfect match. Also, there is a match difference on the Charlotte Tilbury website versious Sephora's website...one recommends you are one shade and the other site recommends that you are another shade...whew too confusing for me! Good luck finding your perfect shade on this one!! 😬

I will definitely still use the magic foundation. I don't always want full coverage. On a day to day basis when I am running around and don't have to work is when I like a medium to light coverage. Work days are when I use a full coverage.
Never used a CT product as she never had a colour dark enough for my skin tone until now. Sir have ordered it on Thursday and they just despatched it today. I am guessing because here in UK it launches officially today. I am a EL fan but found a better match with Natasha Denona foundations Foundation X and the newish Transformatte Pore vanishing. So few YTs talk about these foundations but with my hyperpigmentation these are the only ones that do not look thick. Fingers crossed. I have waited a long time to become a Tilly. Great review. Will let you know how the colour compares. I used the little foundation finder on the website which was very helpful.
Oh my gosh, it's hard enough finding the right shade let alone buy one that's going to change colors on you. I think I'll stick to my magic foundation.

I have trouble applying this foundation and I used the moisturiser, without it looking dry at first and and I have combination skin but mature and It takes a while to get it right but As the day goes on it looks better. I will continue with it though.
I’m the same shade as you in most foundations you use during the summer. It’s winter now and the SA recommended 4N. It might be a little light, as it didn’t oxidise on my hand. I bought it for my Birthday night out which is coming up soon.
😱😱😱 Those swatches ... wow ... that's a LOT of oxidization. I'll def have to check this foundation out in person to see how "light" the lightest shades end up being after they dry down. Thanks for the info!
Appreciate the information regarding the oxidation, however it’s apparent from the photos on the CT website itself - they show swatches of freshly applied and then dried foundation. As long as you’re actually doing your research, the oxidation should not be a surprise and thus factored into your decision to purchase. I chose a shade lighter than I normally would to account for this.
I absolutely love this foundation I have combo skin and I apply it with a Dry beauty blender after applying a vitamin c serum, hyaluronic acid serum, skyn Iceland Youth serum and Tatcha water cream. (Also use skyn Iceland Eye brightening serum, and origins eye brightening cream)
Sidenote I also have the magic foundation but have found a phenomenal technique to apply the airbrush flawless.. when I have a long day of appointments or some sort of special gathering or event I prefer to use CT flawless, otherwise I use my daily rain forest of the sea or Narrs (on the natural make up days or no make up days I prefer the it cosmetics cc cream)
I am giving this a try and guess the reason is I just love trying new foundations. I am getting the 7.5N. I normally have a tan year round and should only go a shade lighter in the height of winter. Dior Backstage, Givenchy Everwear, the new Chanel Ultra le Teint Velvet and Dior Airflash Spray are still my favourites, so we shall see.

What color did you end up with? I dont live near any store that sells CT so I have to order from her website. I use 5 N in her Magic Foundation and 6 in her Light Wonder. I tried a sample card which only had six colors. The 4 N was a soft peach and a little too light. The 5.5 N was supposedly an olive tone. I wish I could have had the 5 N to compare to the 5.5 N. I ended up ordering the 5.5 N after wearing both samples on each side of my face for ten minutes.

Thank you! And yes I used the HFF on top of the airbrush flawless foundation but you can also mix it in, the gloss I’m wearing is Tom Ford Naked. They discontinued it sadly but he has new glosses coming out! Xx
I think I’ll continue to use my Magic Foundation because I like to mix it with the Hollywood Flawless Filter. The shade match is better for me on the new foundation, however, so if I can mix in the Hollywood FF successfully, maybe I’ll get rid of the Magic one after all.
This is supposed to be matte but most reviews I’ve watched the outcome looks slightly or even moderately dewy. In person and you actually having it on your face for hours would you say it’s truly matte or is it dewy?
It’s truly matte in my experience but a soft matte. As soon as it starts to dry down you can tell it’s matte but since it has skincare it won’t be drying or too powdery. My skin is normal/combo and after a few hours it gets dewy on me (in a good way since I prefer dewy). If you’re oil to combo this should still work for you :) xx
Erin Nicole TV Oh, I actually have normal to dry skin and don’t like really matte drying foundations. Everyone I’ve watched they looks dewy on camera for wherever reason but it’s got that really even full coverage that I want as well. I’m going to get this and use the flawless filter as the some of the dry skin reviewers have been using that as primer and it’s giving them the dewier look. Plus, I’ll moisturize before, too. I watched a few of your other foundation reviews and I’ll be honest from how you look on camera this CT foundation looks the best on you.
I’m having a hard time because the foundation goes light then medium hoe do I know what number I am when I am light medium mixture plus someone else mentioned it the sites recommend two different drastically different shades 3n and 4w which is very different I want to try cAnt afford to keep buying multiple bottles I guess I need to find a sample card I want this and the Hollywood filter and the bronzer so bad

I know exactly what you mean . You pulled it off incredibly well though . I think it translates beautifully on film & photo , I would use it for evening events too but not daytime because it has too much coverage for my personal taste . The undertones are a little tricky , especially when buying online . I have olive undertones but fair skin . I use 3.5 in her Magic foundation & 2 in the light wonder . I will pick up a sample to play with , any suggestions on shades ?
Love the airbrush flawless- but got the wrong shade, it was too light. Is it possible to purchase a certain number of samples, so it will be easier to find the right shade? Like one for the summer and one for the winther?
Thanks for your review! I was in London just a few days ago but I left just before it was released. I was not happy to just buy online as it's not cheap and like you, get the wrong shade. I went to several CT stores and I'm unhappy to say that most of their makeup artists actually told me to go onto youtube to figure out what my shade was. It wasn't out yet when I was there and I couldn't get any samples. Fortunately when I happened to be at the Covent Garden store, I met a senior makeup artist who was training staff and he had a bag full of the foundation. He didn't give me samples but he colour matched me and applied it on my face to show me. Like you he also mentioned that it dries a shade different. Anyway, I'm not sure if I"m interested in buying it as I still have some stock of my light wonder. However I do admit that I wouldn't mind a slightly more defined coverage as I have redness on my skin and light wonder doesn't hide it.
@@ErinNicoleTV It was luck and pestering a lot of people! I went to Fenwick and Harrods initially and all the makeup artists said that no one had the foundation and it was impossible to get it until the release date. When I initially went to the Covent Garden store, the junior makeup artist actually told me that they had no samples etc. I kept asking and saying, "Oh but I live in Australia and I am leaving before the end of the week so I won't be around when it comes out. I'd like to sample it so I know my colour and can buy online when I'm back home." I thought that it was ridiculous to be so secretive about something that was coming out so soon. Anyway, just before I left, one of the senior makeup artists heard me and he said, "I have a bagful of the foundation downstairs and I can colour match you now." And he had a massive bag of all the 44 shades along with the 3 colour correctors. I'm Asian and generally olive skin but if you look at my arms, I have blue veins showing and I'm quite rosy and pale! He initially thought I was neutral but we ended with 4 warm. It took a few tries and I'm just glad I met him! I made a lot of mistakes with the magic concealer when it was released and bought the wrong shades (wasting my money!). Unfortunately once used, we can't return the product and anyway, I live in Australia so it will cost a bit to mail it back! The senior makeup artist actually told me that they had plenty of samples because they had to travel to the different stores to train the staff on the application of the foundation. I don't know if any of your foreign users are interested but: CT is not sold in Australia (only online) and not in France but they told me that they are going to open a branch in Paris very soon. Also I fly Qantas to Aust and it's from Terminal 3 of Heathrow. There is a CT store in Terminal 5 of Heathrow for those interested (just opened this year). With post 9/11 security measures, you can't swap terminals after checking in so it's impossible to buy the stuff duty free before leaving the UK unless one flies BA.
I tried it and it looked very bad on me , I got normal skin and it looked very dry , caked up no matter how much I cleaned and hydrated my skin and it lasted on me only 4h :(
I’ve said it before, but I’m just not feeling these makeup artists who come out with products that require a system to work. I watched a vid Allana Davison just did with a well-known Italian bb cream and it balled up on her face, a reaction of the silicones from her moisturizer, and she was done with it. We don’t want to have to buy special moisturizers and primers and powders to get a product to work for us. I think CT is one of the original “celebrity” makeup brands, and she really is more famous as a “brand” rather than real-life people loving her products-it’s like people that buy KKW makeup because they like Kim or YT’s are always talking about it, rather than actually liking the individual products. When CT sells to (Estee Lauder? I can’t remember which house she’s selling to) and she stops making vids and sending so much PR the brand will really dissipate
I absolutely love a lot of the CT products (including this foundation) I think the majority of her line is really great even if you took her as a person away so I must disagree in terms of CT, but I understand what you’re saying. I feel that way about other smaller brands that I haven’t had luck with. Charlotte Tilbury products speak for themselves, long wear foundations tend to dry differently than regular formulas so I don’t mind using the moisturizer to prep. I’ve heard great feedback from people who didn’t use it so it’s simply a suggestion not absolutely necessary. CT has huge counters in department stores and excellent training program for staff, it’s run like a Lauder brand or LVMH. Always appreciate your insight though! Xx
are u nit supposed to wait before the first application before u apply the second coat I don't think it's full coverage lots of people have said it's not full coverage I can see my imperfections quite a lot it's nit full coverage . you didn't demonstrate that as the slipped is wear u will wait to apply second coat. however your skin was perfect anyway so any foundation will look good on your skin I wish they would use real skins with problematic skin savere skin and apply it on that to see the results. it is sheer the filter is brilliant I would purchase that again I think that is the really good thing but after I finish Charlotte Tilbury I may stop this one but keep the Hollywood flawless. your makeup turned out really nice thank you
The foundation is supposed to work for all skin types, I think as long as you moisturize you should be ok! I did the HFF on the cheeks, chin, nose and center of the forehead :) xx
Thank you for the review, I have two different shades and have not had a particularly good experience so far. I am a huge fan of CT products and have an enormous collection but I find the new foundation difficult to apply and the brush strokes leave lines. What I haven’t done is applied two coats so now I’ve seen your video I will try a second and hopefully I will get the beautiful coverage you and other demonstration have?

This foundation is incredible! I didn't think anything would top my love for NARS but I love this! It's full coverage but it's undetectable on my skin, and requires so little powder I love it! Wears for hours and hours.
That’s true! I don’t need much powder at all and it lasts all day. In the video I think I applied too much (it was hard to tell from the sample versus pumping a bottle) but today I’m wearing less and I love it! Xx

Just received this today in 1 neutral, thought straight away this is so light but after few minutes it blends so well and I was getting ready to send it back. So relieved! Phew 😅
Have you considered that you’re very clearly not a warm skin tone. Neutral maybe for some brands, but I would actually say you’re cool. You have no obvious yellow cast to your skin but you’re using a more yellow based shade, so I don’t feel like you’ve given the foundation a fair crack of the whip. Of course they’re going to look more oxidised and orange when they were yellow to start with on a pink inner arm. I’d love to see you try a cool shade! And I don’t mean offence, I just see too many beautiful TH-camrs like you wearing warm/neutral foundation when they’re more cool toned. x
I’m wearing a neutral shade in the video, it’s not warm, but I’m definitely not cool toned. I regularly sunless tan which makes me VERY warm. Regardless I always use a neutral foundation. I know lighting can be tricky but in person I’m not even close to cool. All of these foundation shades oxidize darker, not necessarily orange but deeper so it doesn’t matter what undertone you are it’s important to choose wisely. Xx

I wore it with tatcha dewy skin cream and wonderglow primer and loved it. Some days I've loved it some it's been just okay.

I'm really struggling with this foundation finding it drys really cakey around my eyes really sinks in showing up lines 😔 maybe I'm using to much? not sure what I'm doing wrong? Don't have this problem with any other foundation? I use the Charlotte Tilbury magic cream tried putting it on with brushes and my hands really do rub it in well to any advice appreciated x
I really enjoyed your video, most informative than other reviews. I wondered if you use a sunscreen and if so would you apply it before moisturizer since this foundation needs the rich moisture for optimal results? I always use sunscreen and usually apply last step of my skincare routine.

I tried this foundation the same way she did and it was still dry and separated on the face. Also, it came off easily when I wiped my face. It’s beautiful when you first apply, but a few minutes into it and it falls apart, I returned it.

I'm really curious about this foundation but my main issue is not being able to be shade-matched in person (being in Australia) so I have to rely on limited sample shades and haven't really used her other foundations or the right Magic Away shade. The one I originally purchased was too light so I use it as a highlighter. Great video though. I'm not used to using full coverage foundations, just Radiant Defense from Rodan + Fields but that's a skin perfector - not makeup.
Excellent and informative video; the best I've seen on this product. However, there is no way I'm going to buy specific products of the same brand just so the foundation will work; not happening. Her Magic Cream sold in the US contains different ingredients than the one sold overseas; the US one makes my skin itch and burn and smells highly of spf whereas the overseas one does not and my skin loved it. You can't order it and have it sent to the US as it is not allowed so...if this product is meant to work with her cream and you can't use the US version then you're stuck. I also am not going to play the game with changing of color after dry-down. There are too many other foundations on the market that do NOT have this issue so why bother with one that does? Last, it's not meant for dry skin. It's interesting how so many of the recent foundations tend to have the same negative issues; wonder why? (Except Guerlain : ) )
That’s very true! There are so many great foundation options available there’s no reason to ever settle. If you don’t like the idea of priming with Magic cream or another moisturizer it’s worth skipping this one :) xx
Seems like there will definitely be a lot of returns on this foundation until people are able to find their right shade! I have already read several reviews that ppl have returned like 3 and 4 bottles just trying to find their perfect match. Also, there is a match difference on the Charlotte Tilbury website versious Sephora's website...one recommends you are one shade and the other site recommends that you are another shade...whew too confusing for me! Good luck finding your perfect shade on this one!! 😬

I will definitely still use the magic foundation. I don't always want full coverage. On a day to day basis when I am running around and don't have to work is when I like a medium to light coverage. Work days are when I use a full coverage.

Never used a CT product as she never had a colour dark enough for my skin tone until now. Sir have ordered it on Thursday and they just despatched it today. I am guessing because here in UK it launches officially today. I am a EL fan but found a better match with Natasha Denona foundations Foundation X and the newish Transformatte Pore vanishing. So few YTs talk about these foundations but with my hyperpigmentation these are the only ones that do not look thick. Fingers crossed. I have waited a long time to become a Tilly. Great review. Will let you know how the colour compares. I used the little foundation finder on the website which was very helpful.

I have trouble applying this foundation and I used the moisturiser, without it looking dry at first and and I have combination skin but mature and It takes a while to get it right but As the day goes on it looks better. I will continue with it though.
Just ordered it and wish I saw this before I purchased! I ordered 5w and typically wear 2w in Dior so fingers crossed 🤞 it works!

I’m the same shade as you in most foundations you use during the summer. It’s winter now and the SA recommended 4N. It might be a little light, as it didn’t oxidise on my hand. I bought it for my Birthday night out which is coming up soon.

For reference, what shade did you end up choosing? Your foundation swatches seem to be a lot darker than your actual color. Is that just the lighting?
I went with the 6 neutral. It could be the lighting but also the inside of my arm is very pale lol xx

Appreciate the information regarding the oxidation, however it’s apparent from the photos on the CT website itself - they show swatches of freshly applied and then dried foundation. As long as you’re actually doing your research, the oxidation should not be a surprise and thus factored into your decision to purchase. I chose a shade lighter than I normally would to account for this.
I absolutely love this foundation I have combo skin and I apply it with a Dry beauty blender after applying a vitamin c serum, hyaluronic acid serum, skyn Iceland Youth serum and Tatcha water cream. (Also use skyn Iceland Eye brightening serum, and origins eye brightening cream)
Sidenote I also have the magic foundation but have found a phenomenal technique to apply the airbrush flawless.. when I have a long day of appointments or some sort of special gathering or event I prefer to use CT flawless, otherwise I use my daily rain forest of the sea or Narrs (on the natural make up days or no make up days I prefer the it cosmetics cc cream)
I am giving this a try and guess the reason is I just love trying new foundations. I am getting the 7.5N. I normally have a tan year round and should only go a shade lighter in the height of winter. Dior Backstage, Givenchy Everwear, the new Chanel Ultra le Teint Velvet and Dior Airflash Spray are still my favourites, so we shall see.

What color did you end up with? I dont live near any store that sells CT so I have to order from her website. I use 5 N in her Magic Foundation and 6 in her Light Wonder. I tried a sample card which only had six colors. The 4 N was a soft peach and a little too light. The 5.5 N was supposedly an olive tone. I wish I could have had the 5 N to compare to the 5.5 N. I ended up ordering the 5.5 N after wearing both samples on each side of my face for ten minutes.
The 6 neutral is what I wore in this video and I think it works better than the 5.5 neutral on me, although I probably could have gone either way:) xx

Thank you! And yes I used the HFF on top of the airbrush flawless foundation but you can also mix it in, the gloss I’m wearing is Tom Ford Naked. They discontinued it sadly but he has new glosses coming out! Xx
I think I’ll continue to use my Magic Foundation because I like to mix it with the Hollywood Flawless Filter. The shade match is better for me on the new foundation, however, so if I can mix in the Hollywood FF successfully, maybe I’ll get rid of the Magic one after all.

This is supposed to be matte but most reviews I’ve watched the outcome looks slightly or even moderately dewy. In person and you actually having it on your face for hours would you say it’s truly matte or is it dewy?
It’s truly matte in my experience but a soft matte. As soon as it starts to dry down you can tell it’s matte but since it has skincare it won’t be drying or too powdery. My skin is normal/combo and after a few hours it gets dewy on me (in a good way since I prefer dewy). If you’re oil to combo this should still work for you :) xx
Erin Nicole TV Oh, I actually have normal to dry skin and don’t like really matte drying foundations. Everyone I’ve watched they looks dewy on camera for wherever reason but it’s got that really even full coverage that I want as well. I’m going to get this and use the flawless filter as the some of the dry skin reviewers have been using that as primer and it’s giving them the dewier look. Plus, I’ll moisturize before, too. I watched a few of your other foundation reviews and I’ll be honest from how you look on camera this CT foundation looks the best on you.
I have been trying to love it, but I feel like my skin is so thick with foundation. I may need a different shade. Thank you for your review.

I think it translates beautifully on film & photo , I would use it for evening events too but not daytime because it has too much coverage for my personal taste .
The undertones are a little tricky , especially when buying online . I have olive undertones but fair skin . I use 3.5 in her Magic foundation & 2 in the light wonder .

Love the airbrush flawless- but got the wrong shade, it was too light. Is it possible to purchase a certain number of samples, so it will be easier to find the right shade? Like one for the summer and one for the winther?

Thanks for your review! I was in London just a few days ago but I left just before it was released. I was not happy to just buy online as it's not cheap and like you, get the wrong shade. I went to several CT stores and I'm unhappy to say that most of their makeup artists actually told me to go onto youtube to figure out what my shade was. It wasn't out yet when I was there and I couldn't get any samples. Fortunately when I happened to be at the Covent Garden store, I met a senior makeup artist who was training staff and he had a bag full of the foundation. He didn't give me samples but he colour matched me and applied it on my face to show me. Like you he also mentioned that it dries a shade different. Anyway, I'm not sure if I"m interested in buying it as I still have some stock of my light wonder. However I do admit that I wouldn't mind a slightly more defined coverage as I have redness on my skin and light wonder doesn't hide it.

I went to Fenwick and Harrods initially and all the makeup artists said that no one had the foundation and it was impossible to get it until the release date. When I initially went to the Covent Garden store, the junior makeup artist actually told me that they had no samples etc. I kept asking and saying, "Oh but I live in Australia and I am leaving before the end of the week so I won't be around when it comes out. I'd like to sample it so I know my colour and can buy online when I'm back home." I thought that it was ridiculous to be so secretive about something that was coming out so soon. Anyway, just before I left, one of the senior makeup artists heard me and he said, "I have a bagful of the foundation downstairs and I can colour match you now." And he had a massive bag of all the 44 shades along with the 3 colour correctors. I'm Asian and generally olive skin but if you look at my arms, I have blue veins showing and I'm quite rosy and pale! He initially thought I was neutral but we ended with 4 warm. It took a few tries and I'm just glad I met him! I made a lot of mistakes with the magic concealer when it was released and bought the wrong shades (wasting my money!). Unfortunately once used, we can't return the product and anyway, I live in Australia so it will cost a bit to mail it back! The senior makeup artist actually told me that they had plenty of samples because they had to travel to the different stores to train the staff on the application of the foundation.
I don't know if any of your foreign users are interested but: CT is not sold in Australia (only online) and not in France but they told me that they are going to open a branch in Paris very soon. Also I fly Qantas to Aust and it's from Terminal 3 of Heathrow. There is a CT store in Terminal 5 of Heathrow for those interested (just opened this year). With post 9/11 security measures, you can't swap terminals after checking in so it's impossible to buy the stuff duty free before leaving the UK unless one flies BA.
I tried it and it looked very bad on me , I got normal skin and it looked very dry , caked up no matter how much I cleaned and hydrated my skin and it lasted on me only 4h :(

I’ve said it before, but I’m just not feeling these makeup artists who come out with products that require a system to work. I watched a vid Allana Davison just did with a well-known Italian bb cream and it balled up on her face, a reaction of the silicones from her moisturizer, and she was done with it. We don’t want to have to buy special moisturizers and primers and powders to get a product to work for us. I think CT is one of the original “celebrity” makeup brands, and she really is more famous as a “brand” rather than real-life people loving her products-it’s like people that buy KKW makeup because they like Kim or YT’s are always talking about it, rather than actually liking the individual products. When CT sells to (Estee Lauder? I can’t remember which house she’s selling to) and she stops making vids and sending so much PR the brand will really dissipate
I absolutely love a lot of the CT products (including this foundation) I think the majority of her line is really great even if you took her as a person away so I must disagree in terms of CT, but I understand what you’re saying. I feel that way about other smaller brands that I haven’t had luck with. Charlotte Tilbury products speak for themselves, long wear foundations tend to dry differently than regular formulas so I don’t mind using the moisturizer to prep. I’ve heard great feedback from people who didn’t use it so it’s simply a suggestion not absolutely necessary. CT has huge counters in department stores and excellent training program for staff, it’s run like a Lauder brand or LVMH. Always appreciate your insight though! Xx

are u nit supposed to wait before the first application before u apply the second coat I don't think it's full coverage lots of people have said it's not full coverage I can see my imperfections quite a lot it's nit full coverage . you didn't demonstrate that as the slipped is wear u will wait to apply second coat. however your skin was perfect anyway so any foundation will look good on your skin I wish they would use real skins with problematic skin savere skin and apply it on that to see the results. it is sheer the filter is brilliant I would purchase that again I think that is the really good thing but after I finish Charlotte Tilbury I may stop this one but keep the Hollywood flawless. your makeup turned out really nice thank you

The foundation is supposed to work for all skin types, I think as long as you moisturize you should be ok! I did the HFF on the cheeks, chin, nose and center of the forehead :) xx

Thank you for the review, I have two different shades and have not had a particularly good experience so far. I am a huge fan of CT products and have an enormous collection but I find the new foundation difficult to apply and the brush strokes leave lines. What I haven’t done is applied two coats so now I’ve seen your video I will try a second and hopefully I will get the beautiful coverage you and other demonstration have?

On top! I’m going to mixing it next time but they recommended on top and not underneath so that’s what I did. I’m going to keep experimenting xx
