I was just talking to the other patients there and we somehow got onto music, and I sang this one for them, and everyone went silent for a bit. There was one woman I noticed from the beginning never spoke to anyone and always kept her head down, and she was suddenly looking right at me. It was decades ago, and I've gotten better. I dunno if it helped anyone, but I like to think maybe it did.

We all sat quietly while *_Dreamweaver_* played. Then the noise and bustle resumed. It sounds as though you had something similar.
40 and this was the 1st game I ever pre-ordered. I still listen to Cd, have the hand puppet it came with 2. Great Story, memorable characters, music I still hum to this day. Will always have a spot in my heart.
Always loved Working Designs port and localization of games from overseas, there was much love put into their work from dubbing to packaging. I saw the last one in a walmart and i was instantly intrigued. The game wasnt just great but the packaging was phenomenal for the standard price of a game. These lyrics produced and locallized will forever be remembered by me and others who also fell on love with this game.

I grew up with the lunar games and now I unconsciously realized that my daughter recognizes this as her lullaby as I would always sing it to put her to sleep when she was a baby. Now it’s something to put on to calm her when she’s acting out, works like a charm.
I love how it actually sounds like she's about to cry. I get all teary when I hear it. The fact someone could put such genuine, heartfelt emotion in a dub of a Japanese song is mind blowing, and part of what makes Jenny Magallanes (she's married now) so talented.

This game really spoke to me as a kid. I had to pay extra to import it from Japan, but the box art, the cloth map, the medallion, the soundtrack, all that great stuff that went into the package. I was so amazed at the absolute care that went into it. It felt like a gift to anyone willing to try them out. I was like, damn, This is The Way!
Gaming back when this game came out was pure magical. We cared about the people, we cared about the time we were spending. Most of all, we did not feel like the time we spent was wasted after th efact!
Accidentally downloaded this on Kazaa in the 2000s and found it again by searching for the lyrics “is an Angel watching closely over me” and “there’s a hole within my soul”, as I still remembered these lines 20 years later

I remember playing this on the Playstation and I was blown away that there was this AMAZING anime music video in the middle of a 16-bit game. Ah, makes me miss those days when life was simple.
I sorta changed my mind on this matter recently. I love Alex and Luna, too. All the couples in Lunar are great. But my favorite Lunar couple has to be Nall and Ruby. When you think overthink it, Nall is such a tragic character in Lunar 2. He didn't know he would outlive his friends and with no one to guide him, he refused to make deep connections with anyone because he was afraid of losing them. But with Ruby, there's someone, another dragon, that will be by his side for the rest of his life.
This was played (as an instrumental version) at my wedding, as my spouse came up the aisle to meet me under the canopy. I can't hear it without my hair standing up. I've forgotten the image of her walking toward me, but I remember how I felt in that moment.

RPGs in the PS1 era had so much heart and soul in them. I actually felt for the characters in the game. I wanted to see them overcome anything that they came across. Nowdays it's just, go grind out some EXP or money then find a boss. rinse and repeat.
Have you tried Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Trails from Zero, Trails from Azure and Trails of Cold Steel? Not much grinding, lots of character and story

And for whatever reason, I get a giant kick out of that :) Two: I feel bad for you :P, because I happened on the Lunar series by luck. Lunar 1 was given to me as a gift from my father's friend, after my mom won our PS1 in an office lottery. Lunar 2 I found at a yard sale five years later, when a mother was selling her son's crap he had left after heading to college. I bought it off her for $15.

I really hate the kinds of comments you will see in these RPG music videos but for this video, I really do feel it when people say the annoying/cringy things like: "never make a game like this again," or "I CRIED the first time I heard this song" specifically for this game. This was my first RPG and due to me liking first person RPG's more than JRPG's I only played a handful of these but this one will be one that stays with me forever.

She sang almost all of the songs in Working Designs games. The only one I know she didn't sing was the opening to the original Sega CD Lunar: The Silver Star

It's strange because this song is about waiting for something you have yet to find. Weddings are about finding your forever mate, so the implication of playing this song is that the person you're marrying is not making you happy and is not what you've been searching for your whole life. That is why it's strange. That said, people can use whatever songs they want for their wedding- it's their wedding!

I was fortunate to buy the collectors box edition. With the art book and other items. Lost them in a fire. Few games resonate with the stories of these "older" games. It was not about min/max your characters. It was not about monetization and profit. It was about great story telling.
Finished this game for the fist time yesterday. While far from the best old JRPG I've played, with lots of flaws in both gameplay and story, it has so much charm and soul that it's hard not to love it.

I'd love to know what happened to jeniffer stigile. I searched around the net, but it seems she just dropped out of the radar. Too sad, I liked her voice work.
I believe she has a youtube, and has performed this song too! I hope she's doing well :) And knows what a difference she made in so many people's lives.
I really hate the kinds of comments you will see in these RPG music videos but for this video, I really do feel it when people say the annoying/cringy things like: "never make a game like this again," or "I CRIED the first time I heard this song" specifically for this game. This was my first RPG and due to me liking first person RPG's more than JRPG's I only played a handful of these but this one will be one that stays with me forever.

holy crap, i remember hearing this on t PlayStation 1 demo disk back in i think 1997.
She sang almost all of the songs in Working Designs games.
The only one I know she didn't sing was the opening to the original Sega CD Lunar: The Silver Star

GREAT Post "Jedi+Optimus+Prime"!! I haven't heard this in a while, NOT since the last time I played the game, LOL though my old PS1 died. Rez I DON'T think there is an (MP3) out there, it is ONLY on (TH-cam) can you find these treasures!! It's strange because this song is about waiting for something you have yet to find. Weddings are about finding your forever mate, so the implication of playing this song is that the person you're marrying is not making you happy and is not what you've been searching for your whole life. That is why it's strange. That said, people can use whatever songs they want for their wedding- it's their wedding!

I was fortunate to buy the collectors box edition. With the art book and other items. Lost them in a fire. Few games resonate with the stories of these "older" games. It was not about min/max your characters. It was not about monetization and profit. It was about great story telling.

Finished this game for the fist time yesterday. While far from the best old JRPG I've played, with lots of flaws in both gameplay and story, it has so much charm and soul that it's hard not to love it.
They don't make game like this anymore. LSSC 💜
