"Sing with me a song, of silence and blood, The rain falls, but can't wash away the mud" The bar of the song. It's my favorite part because that verse is supposed to correspond with Revelation. And "silence and blood" makes sense because a lot of characters DIE in Revelation. And "the rain falls but can't wash away the mud" is a representation of how no amount of effort can wash away the pain and suffering caused by the war.
I do love that part of the song as well, but more because I interpret that as the most passionate part of the song because *SPOILERS* this is Anankos' real pain coming out here. He feels regret for everything he's done and knows that it's too late to undo his actions and redeem himself, and these lyrics just put those feelings into words.
Actually more people die in birthright than in any other version tbh SPOILER?? Birthright has 3 lesser unit deaths (one that is avoidable, two scripted) besides the two royals and Azura Conquest has 2 scripted lesser unit deaths (besides 2 royals and Azura), and both are never really in your army so it doesn't hit as hard. Revelations only has one lesser unit death and all the royals including Azura survive haha so it's the most benevolent out of all the versions imo Anankos makes me sadface though I wish there was a way to save him

Fire emblem fates is honestly one of my favorite games ever period. Many people seem to dislike the game for it's story but I can see why at times but i honestly feel like it's fine but that's just me. The music and characters are just so lovable make me wanna play fates more. Even if many people dislike fire emblem fates I still believe it's my favorite game of them all but you may believe to your opinion of course.
But how many Fire Emblem games have you played? Thats where the hate (usually criticism) comes from. Its from people who know what to expect of the series. Fates is an ok slice of a great cake (FE).
Honestly, Azura/Aqua's English dub voice actress did an amazing job singing the song! This is one of the times where I love English version just as much as Japanese version!
Everyone with good hearts found this song to be very beautiful and liked it. Everyone with evil hearts groaned with increasing discomfort and disliked it. As for everyone else........they were probably in a trance.

I finally understand this song now.... I was drawn to this when i first heard the first line: "You are the ocean's grey waves". Something about this line gave me a HUGE shiver.... That's when I realized.... We all choose our path. We follow, what we believe is the Truth. We bear the burden, the pain, and yet... Somehow, we grow into someone we never thought possible.... Weather we seek the Light in joy, and sharing ideals... Or wandering the Dark, in knowing you are you, and no one can change that. But never, in my mind have I ever though there be a "middle" between the line.... I started walking down the Middle... And my life changed as I started seeing both Light thoughts, and Dark thoughts... My perspective has changed in a way where... i can feel like I can help guide people like Azura did with Corrin... I truly admire her for who she is... Shame she is not real...
How cool would it have been to have been able to create twin Corrin's? (A bit like Mass Effect Andromeda) and then whichever one you didn't play as sided with the oposing country? That would have been epic!
That was a serious missed opportunity for that if you ask me. Although I would ask what about the third route? I also may or may not have came up with ideas (well most are from fanfic AUs that has twin avatars so the credit will go to the fanfic writers) (tried coming up with something original too) on how the story would be with something like that but I don't know if anyone would listen to that.
@@ponygirl4441 my opinion: in the third route either the other twin would be stuck in the other world/kidnapped by Garon or Anankos, OR they joined your party for the whole game.
Hi I don't like this version of the song. Rena Strober has an amazing voice, but I feel like the translations don't really flow (?) too well? Like the emphases are sometimes on the syllables that aren't supposed to be emphasized. Also Rena's voice is very powerful, while the voice I would associate with Azura is more delicate I guess. Of course it's very difficult to translate a song, retain its original meaning, and make the lyrics not sound awkward so I appreciate the effort that the treehouse folks put into this. It's just not my cup of tea, but I'm glad you and many others are enjoying it!
Unfortunatly i never played the game or heard this before now but a band i listen to made a song with this voice in the back ground and i had to find the original. Funny how it works out sometimes.
ironically awakening was more of a scripted fate than fates, awakening had 1 set plot that would always go the same, fates has 3 plots that you get to choose from
Plus I think there are certain points in Fates where specific characters will die if you don't meet certain conditions, which then affects the story (again, I think this is true, have not played Fates and am still confused concerning the particulars).
David Clark there's one ally character death in birthright that's avoidable, and it's possible to avoid killing certain named enemy characters such as arthur and effie on birthright, or hinata in conquest
When Azura said that the next verse of the song was going to be written by whatever decision Corrin makes, it started to make me curious as to what the next verse might have sounded like. I love this song so much, I honestly really hate the fan lyrics that got so popular that pretty much every god damn cover artist uses it instead of the original lol This song is meant to foreshadow the events of the entire game, the fan lyrics just kind of strip it of that a bit, it isn't the same.
Matthew Hughes ive seen a cover that replaces things like “You are the oceans grey waves” with “You are an ocean of waves”. Kind of pointless change imo. I think the original was more... original if you get what I’m saying.
Once in a while I just come here, listen to it and remembers how good FE Fates was a good game (and it's still is !) This theme is stuck in my head when I hear it and sometimes just comes out of my mind with no reason... P.S : Soleil, you're always in my heart ♥
@@AlanJia8 gameplay was good, storyline was, as he said, entirely awful though. Also Corrin may be the world's most one dimensional character, so much so that other characters who normally had some personality would become one dimensional in supports because they were with Corrin
@@valarmis The story in none of the paths' were entirely awful. They're varying degrees of mixed, with Conquest being the main offender and Birthright being the least so. Nah there's way more one dimensional characters. I kinida feel like Corrin gets a bit too much flak. They're not the best protagonist out there, far from it, but I enjoyed quite a few of their supports. Especially when their shelteredness/inability to be in a certain social situation showed. Forrest is I think the best example that pops into my mind.
@SquidSenpai Well blood is often associated with the "heart" or the "truth". As Revelations is expressing that the heart of corruption lies within the kingdom of Valla, this can be appropriate. And "silence" is probably considering the state of the Vallian kingdom, as it remained stagnant and unaffiliated with their world for quite the time. "Fate" depicts responsibility, or the consequence which one must accept upon sacrificing one event for another. "Love" is somewhat self explanatory, and this one is most likely referring to Corrin's attempt to liberate Nohr from tyranny. I believe the words were expressing not the families alone, as they sought for peace among all, but rather a description of the futures and paths they chose to walk together. Or essentially, the moral of each path. However, all of these bear a meaning beyond simply the story itself and extend into moral philosophy, considering the emotional and logical reasoning which determines one's choices. It depicts as no path as inherently evil, as long as "truth and peace" are abided by, but it does hint that each path is bound to stumble upon an respective element of truth.
I know it was heavily overplayed in game, but this song has such a major impact. Life can suck and there are no right choices, but just as there is no life with only joy, there is no joy with only sadness. We must press on despite life’s changing current, we still have the power to choose our happiness

+GWRNori I actually attribute that to the structure of Japanese as a language, not the singer. Japanese is built with a syllable structure that lets you just do whatever you want with it melodically speaking, so it works better for songs than English, I feel...
+GWRNori yeah that's just because it was written in Japanese, the meter is of course going to sound better in its original language. That said I think they did a decent job with it in English. Our language is very particular in the structure of songs, it's difficult to translate anything without it taking a hit in quality somehow.

I’m proud to have Corrin in smash. I’m proud even FE still exists, It still exists because of awakening. Fates was my favourite game. I still play it TIL this day. Speaking of awakening, I really like how they put Chrom, Lucina and Robin in too!

@@zeropelli7026 no??? Eliwood and Lyn are trash, but at least Eliwood can get a horse later in the game and Lyn can just be skipped. Hector is great in combat, but 5 move is pretty brutal. Eirika is sort of bad, but she works as long as you go her route. Ephraim is amazing, the only things holding him back are his late promotion and him being pretty underleveled if you play Eirika route. Path of Radiance Ike is ok, but he has a late promotion and lacks a mount in one of the best games to have horse. Radiant Dawn Ike is really good, since he can one-round easily if he gets a couple speed procs and mobility is no longer a problem in a game with terrain that can sometimes just altogether prevent horses from moving. Would be nice if he had wings, but you can’t have it all. Unless you’re Haar. But he’s just built different. Shadow Dragon Marth is pretty garbage, but then again, so is most of the cast in Shadow Dragon. Robin is literally the best unit in the entire series, Chrom gets a lot of bonus points from being a great pair-up bot for Female Robin, who is the one you should always pick because she gets Galeforce. Lucina is kinda trash unless you train her, but she can work if you grind her up a bit. Corrin is one of the best units in Fates. Alm is super good, and Celica works well enough. Overall, Lords can vary by a lot, but in more recent games they’ve started to become consistently amazing. I didn’t include any of the unlocalized games because I got the feeling you probably didn’t play any of them.

@@FrenchSilkPie611 At first, I got a ransomeware, which also cause most of my social medias to become vulnerable to hackers (Discord, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Gmail, and TH-cam were affected). My youtube channel became someone else's, They "generously" privated all of my video, and didn't delete them. Then they started streaming something that's against TH-cam policy, which also got the channel taken down. Good thing I was alerted by emails and my friends. I honestly don't think that this video is going to be taken down by Nintendo at this point, it's already been claimed by it's own music company (I can't remember which), which cause the video to be demonetized. But anything could happen, I'm no expert in these things.

The bar of the song. It's my favorite part because that verse is supposed to correspond with Revelation. And "silence and blood" makes sense because a lot of characters DIE in Revelation. And "the rain falls but can't wash away the mud" is a representation of how no amount of effort can wash away the pain and suffering caused by the war.

I always saw it as Anakos wanting Corrin to kill him so that he can stop the countless suffering he has caused after losing sanity.

this is Anankos' real pain coming out here. He feels regret for everything he's done and knows that it's too late to undo his actions and redeem himself, and these lyrics just put those feelings into words.

Conquest has 2 scripted lesser unit deaths (besides 2 royals and Azura), and both are never really in your army so it doesn't hit as hard.
Revelations only has one lesser unit death and all the royals including Azura survive haha
so it's the most benevolent out of all the versions imo

Fire emblem fates is honestly one of my favorite games ever period. Many people seem to dislike the game for it's story but I can see why at times but i honestly feel like it's fine but that's just me. The music and characters are just so lovable make me wanna play fates more. Even if many people dislike fire emblem fates I still believe it's my favorite game of them all but you may believe to your opinion of course.

Hi I don't like this version of the song. Rena Strober has an amazing voice, but I feel like the translations don't really flow (?) too well? Like the emphases are sometimes on the syllables that aren't supposed to be emphasized. Also Rena's voice is very powerful, while the voice I would associate with Azura is more delicate I guess. Of course it's very difficult to translate a song, retain its original meaning, and make the lyrics not sound awkward so I appreciate the effort that the treehouse folks put into this. It's just not my cup of tea, but I'm glad you and many others are enjoying it!

ironically awakening was more of a scripted fate than fates, awakening had 1 set plot that would always go the same, fates has 3 plots that you get to choose from
Plus I think there are certain points in Fates where specific characters will die if you don't meet certain conditions, which then affects the story (again, I think this is true, have not played Fates and am still confused concerning the particulars).
David Clark there's one ally character death in birthright that's avoidable, and it's possible to avoid killing certain named enemy characters such as arthur and effie on birthright, or hinata in conquest

@@valarmis The story in none of the paths' were entirely awful. They're varying degrees of mixed, with Conquest being the main offender and Birthright being the least so.
Nah there's way more one dimensional characters. I kinida feel like Corrin gets a bit too much flak. They're not the best protagonist out there, far from it, but I enjoyed quite a few of their supports. Especially when their shelteredness/inability to be in a certain social situation showed. Forrest is I think the best example that pops into my mind.

Well blood is often associated with the "heart" or the "truth". As Revelations is expressing that the heart of corruption lies within the kingdom of Valla, this can be appropriate. And "silence" is probably considering the state of the Vallian kingdom, as it remained stagnant and unaffiliated with their world for quite the time.
"Fate" depicts responsibility, or the consequence which one must accept upon sacrificing one event for another.
"Love" is somewhat self explanatory, and this one is most likely referring to Corrin's attempt to liberate Nohr from tyranny.
I believe the words were expressing not the families alone, as they sought for peace among all, but rather a description of the futures and paths they chose to walk together. Or essentially, the moral of each path. However, all of these bear a meaning beyond simply the story itself and extend into moral philosophy, considering the emotional and logical reasoning which determines one's choices. It depicts as no path as inherently evil, as long as "truth and peace" are abided by, but it does hint that each path is bound to stumble upon an respective element of truth.

+GWRNori I actually attribute that to the structure of Japanese as a language, not the singer. Japanese is built with a syllable structure that lets you just do whatever you want with it melodically speaking, so it works better for songs than English, I feel...
+GWRNori yeah that's just because it was written in Japanese, the meter is of course going to sound better in its original language. That said I think they did a decent job with it in English. Our language is very particular in the structure of songs, it's difficult to translate anything without it taking a hit in quality somehow.

Only if you build her properly. She’s fairly weak in combat if you leave her a songstress, but she’s definitely useful.
@@zeropelli7026 no??? Eliwood and Lyn are trash, but at least Eliwood can get a horse later in the game and Lyn can just be skipped. Hector is great in combat, but 5 move is pretty brutal. Eirika is sort of bad, but she works as long as you go her route. Ephraim is amazing, the only things holding him back are his late promotion and him being pretty underleveled if you play Eirika route. Path of Radiance Ike is ok, but he has a late promotion and lacks a mount in one of the best games to have horse. Radiant Dawn Ike is really good, since he can one-round easily if he gets a couple speed procs and mobility is no longer a problem in a game with terrain that can sometimes just altogether prevent horses from moving. Would be nice if he had wings, but you can’t have it all. Unless you’re Haar. But he’s just built different. Shadow Dragon Marth is pretty garbage, but then again, so is most of the cast in Shadow Dragon. Robin is literally the best unit in the entire series, Chrom gets a lot of bonus points from being a great pair-up bot for Female Robin, who is the one you should always pick because she gets Galeforce. Lucina is kinda trash unless you train her, but she can work if you grind her up a bit. Corrin is one of the best units in Fates. Alm is super good, and Celica works well enough. Overall, Lords can vary by a lot, but in more recent games they’ve started to become consistently amazing. I didn’t include any of the unlocalized games because I got the feeling you probably didn’t play any of them.

My youtube channel became someone else's, They "generously" privated all of my video, and didn't delete them. Then they started streaming something that's against TH-cam policy, which also got the channel taken down. Good thing I was alerted by emails and my friends.
I honestly don't think that this video is going to be taken down by Nintendo at this point, it's already been claimed by it's own music company (I can't remember which), which cause the video to be demonetized. But anything could happen, I'm no expert in these things.
