Not quite but it's still a crazy reaction. I even went crazy when I saw the screw attack s. It's a good move on Nintendo since we thought they were blind to everyone saying they were ruining metroid over the last 10 years.
Holy shit when Metroid 4 Prime appeared, I thought some team scored the winner goal at the Football World Cup. Now THAT'S a reaction. There's more reaction in this announcement than any of the Xbox or Sony conferences this year.
They probably had to tell the guy in the costume what was going to be shown to keep him quiet through the presentation, as is required for people in costumes like that.
that's one way to cheer, I guess. I'm guessing that the guy in the costume was told what was coming in advance while also being given a set of motions for him to do a Mario to "react" along with the crowd.
Actually, now that I think about it from when I was around people who worked as mascots, that's the normal Mascot reaction cheer. They can't be overly excited with the cheer or else they risk damaging the costume. Costumes like for Mario are probably not as durable as like the mascot costumes for sporting events, so that's about the best he can do.

Microsoft had some new games but wasn't exclusive as those games will come to PC too. Bethesda ans Unisoft had one or two exciting new games but not that could kill the E3 and win it. Devolver was very interesting, but as you know they aren't making AAA games. Square Enix flopped tremendously. Nintendo had one sneaky little teaser trailer with Metroid and that's all, that is not enough to win, I'm sorry. What we know for sure is that Sony has won 2015 and 2016, but 2017 there's no clear winner.
JoCoBrony the first time it showed there was some excitement. came back up but by then people are like "we already saw that, move along to showing us the next game." I noticed at times there's no obvious reaction to the news of a game or dlc...until their release dates are shown. Zelda's dlc didn't seem to impress anyone too much but damn if they got more excited when they saw when pack 1 was so close to being available, and pack 2 coming out earlier than expected. (I thought maybe it was going to become available in december, late november)
I know many like Nintendo's current format, but I really miss their old style press conferences as it's wonderful to see people so joyful about something I'm hyped for as well. It's fun with a crowd, and could you imagine that reaction with hundreds instead of dozens? Hearing that Prime music and seeing the title was such an immense relief. I felt like crying just to release all the tension from years of continual frustrations and disappointments. Yet Nintendo came through and dropped some megatons, and I'd nearly given up all hope. Mario looks amazing as well. All the better, all these are portable. Metroid Prime 4 on the go? Fucking insane. System's legit dope. So kudos Nintendo. Well done!
I love that Mario Odyssey trailer. It starts with the T rex and ends with the T rex, it's essentially the same scene, but the audience perceives it in completely different contexts both times. It really punctuates how much you've learned over the course of the trailer. Everyone was too surprised that the dinosaur was in Mario to realize that Mario was in the dinosaur all along.
You guys had a ton of fun! I was watching it on the E3 show floor and people went nuts for Metroid Prime 4. Also, shoutout to the guy in green on the left staying hyped throughout the stream.

The only slowdown was for the announcement of the Pokemon game for Switch and that was literally the biggest announcement of the show. A core Pokemon game on a console. Amazing. My highlight was Xenoblade Chronicles 2 though. Thanks for the video.
Uranus Ubisoft's presentation was alright but Nintendo actually saved E3 not just 1 Metroid game but 2 Metroid games and showing a new Super Mario Odyssey which is #2 trending on TH-cam as of right now.
Roman Dogg they showed a title for one of them, and the other one wasn't shown during the presentation. Mario odyssey alone didn't and couldn't win E3. ubisoft had the better presentation, while also carrying it's own hype with the games.
