He already knew about Mario Odyssey and everything? He leaked the whole presentation the day before for himself. When has spoiling yourself before watching something ever been beneficial? I'm really letdown by his reaction to Mario in particular, being that was the highlight of the show for me and I was sure Tim would lose his shit for that. He's just like "Yeah."

Kinda Funny Games I'm glad you think so and yeah it does kinda suck that we aren't getting it any time soon. I was just more hung up on the fact that you looked so miserable and then Mario came and it didn't really light you up like I thought and hoped it would. Your reaction is the only one I've seen where someone knew the game's title before it was shown. I think whatever leaks you saw the night before only made the presentation worse for you, like reading a movie script the day before you go see it, only some of the cool parts are missing.

Lmao! Nintendo fanboys talking shit about Tim because he's not saying 100% postive things and acting like a fanboy. New flash! Tim is well known Nintendo fan, but at the same time he can't mindlessly ignore a bad conference (or potential glaring problems) doesn't. And he's as a critic, his job is give his opinion on games/consoles, etc. So you don't have to waste your time/money on products you might not like. Kindafunny is one the most unbiased channels, you want biased opinions go somewhere else!

Maybe it's just me, but if you look at other people's reactions, yes they often try to appear overly positive and overreact sometimes, but at least, when they are actually excited, it feels so genuine and real.
If you, like me, grew up with Mario, I can't understand why you wouldn't sit there with the biggest fucking grin on your face while watching that Odyssey trailer. It's a masterfully crafted trailer (like the Zelda trailer).
Even my Grandfather, who got me into gaming, lighted up when I showed him that trailer.
So when Tim's reaction to that trailer is just "yeah, so that's a game", I kind of question his fandom to Nintendo a bit. Or at least he's maybe not as into it as he says he is.
That's the reason why I prefer reactions that actually seem excited about what they are watching (like Easy Allies where some people are like, 'that looks okay' and other's are like going crazy, because they are actually passionate about the games or series revealed/shown).

Looking back this was really one of the best presentations content wise, and while it was frustrating to watch live, the awkward translations and those down moments are kinda charming in retrospect. But I mean come on, SO many incredible, ultimately industry defining and successful games were announced here, Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Octopath, Xenoblade 2, ARMS, even shadow announcements like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Bomberman R, Snipperclips... and one of the single greatest game trailers of all time at the end- for Breath of the Wild.
I just skipped through the video, and Tim's face told the saddest story I have never heard.

@Japan has the best games my local GameStop had the Zelda bundle. Console, Zelda game, charge cable, and Zelda carrying case. They also had a Zelda collectors edition that costs 99 bucks but doesn't say what all comes in it. Oh well. MAN I'M HYPED LOL

They show off what I guarentee will be 2 game of the year contenders, plus a sequel to one of the greatest RPG's of all time, plus a sequel to one of the most fun multiplayer game of all time, plus portable Mario Kart 8 with battle mode, all in the first 6 months or so. Damn we are spoiled to be disappointed by that.

I feel your pain Tim as I watched it a 2nd time. Just give me games with titles and a short preview and I'd be good. Only Zelda, then Mario and that Arms game were interesting and shown to be released soon. Saw lots of ports but nothing really new for it unfortunately. I hope people's reactions are positive from NY once I leave work today. I got my Wii U. I'll get the Switch next year and I'm now forced to get a PS4 this year unless they show some really good exclusives later.
