I asked my grandpa about the flying in government airspace question you asked (he was in the Air Force), he said “They would never see you coming. A person is too small to appear on radar.” There ya go Mr. Sandwich.
@@LARAUJO_0 first of all, torpedoes are under water and second, if a missile is as small or smaller than a person the jet is gonna have to be real close to the target to get an accurate hit.
Here's a good few I like: 1. Time Control. Basically the ability to rewind, pause and fast-forwarding time. Just imagine going back in time to retry a test, pausing time to get somewhere on time, seeing what the future looks like or skipping a boring lecture. 2. Size Manipulation. The ability to change your own size and/or someone or something else's. You can't tell me it wouldn't be cool to just, absolutely tower over everyone you see or confuse them by being tall as hell at one point, then all of a sudden the size of a potato. 3. Mind Control. Though it would make everyone hate you, it'd be absolutely devious to reveal someone's deepest secret or love life.
If time control encompasses yourself you would also be immortal as long as you're conscious, if you got injured you could just undo it and if you got old you could just decide to become young. If it ALSO affects other people then you could do the exact same thing for loved ones.
Well unless you could specifically control the air below your feet and where you'd want to go then you wouldn't really be walking on air but just sort of floating
Telekinesis is the most underrated super power. Everyone always says "I wanna fly or stop time" when I ask what one power would you want. I can fly with telekinesis, lift myself. I can also defend myself with telekinetic barriers, hard enough wall even bullets can't go through. And combat would be easy, yank the gun out of their hands.
@@Kayso789 Huh? What headaches? You train your super power by lifting weights. Eventually you can drive to the movies lifting your car and all your friends in the car.
Also in comic history it is possible to be such a powerful telekinetic user you can manipulate atoms and stuff so you could even get other powers like manipulate electricity or water etc so it think other then magic it is a very op power if used right
I feel like the ability to shapeshift is underrated, because assuming that it's literally chemically changing your body's composition, you can technically become a superhuman in every other way - you can genetically shift yourself to gain muscle mass differently, to be faster, I have a very loose concept of dna, learn quicker, the sky's the limit. It's only limited by your creativity (and possibly by your energy and available resources around to shift with, if you wanna be lame and technical like a big ol lame-o)
I always instinctively choose flying until I realize that this power exists. It could also even mean voluntary immortality as you *could* reconstruct yourself if even a single atom of your body remains.
Finally someone gets it,also you could alter your brain, male or so you collect information easier, you could forget things(you'd probably have to make it so you'd be able t9 have complete controlll over your body and brain by changing how your brain works which could be dangerous but anyway)you could literally make your self have super powers/super power-like abilities by again changing how your brain works and unlocking it many hidden secrets.(which could again be dangerous)
Imagine if you could shapeshift into fictional beings, it would literally make one of the already most overpowered super powers like a billion times better than every other super power because you can just shapeshift into a fictional being that has other super powers
I watch the same Ice Cream Sandwich videos at least 5 times each. He is one of the best animators in this app for sure. His comedy timing also gets me every time, sooo good!
There's ALWAYS gotta be mfs that say "Wow,,,, can we take a moment to appreciate how this youtuber does (insert basic thing most youtubers do)" Like I know I'm being petty, but youtube comments have got to be one of the most egregiously unfunny and mindless places on the internet and I don't understand why
@@irchonite1953 comments are not meant to be funny or mindful, it's just a place where people share their views about the video and a place for bots to spread their filth
I still stand by the idea that shape shifting is the best superpower. It encompasses most of the other classic superpowers. Give yourself wings for flight, turn into a random object to be invisible, etc
with the comedic power this guy has, he could be blowing our minds every other week but instead he humbly decides to bless us with a few videos per year. We are still grateful ICS.
Two words "Toon Force" Think about it the ability to alter reality in anyway you want so long as you find it amusing. Like Jim Carrey from the mask except you can control it. You'd never actually get hurt unless you want to. You could pull whatever you need out of thin air like costumes or food or a giant mallet with bombs strapped to the head. And you could make your enemies do a really embarrassing and elaborate song and dance number then film it for TH-cam. And so so much more.
One thing often ignored in the discussion about superpowers is the question of how physically taxing your power would be. Like, if we're talking about flying, how tired would you be after an hour of flying?
Yeah, people forget that the Flash has to eat a shit ton of food due to his metabolism and Superman draws his energy directly from the sun's radiation. Not to mention the countless other negatives to super powers
Also another thing people discount is property damage and more worryingly attention. If you started flying, you'd be a worldwide sensation instantly. You'd never get a second of rest and everyone would want a piece of you, probably including some really shady people.
Shapeshifting, always my pick. Instead of explaining why I want it, though, I'd rather explain why this is such a fun answer to this question, because it has so much more possible variety than most answers depending on your parameters. If we want to go crazy with what counts as "shapeshifting," that means that if I wanted to turn into Superman, I will not only look like him, but I will have all of his powers. If I want to be geokinetic, or produce weapons from my body, or clone myself? Turn into someone who can do that. I could also turn into non-human animals, or even inanimate objects if I wanted. Maybe I just want to know what it's like being a Brussels sprout, you know? You could even turn into fictional characters or ones that don't even exist, fiction or nonfiction. Meanwhile, at the most limited, you can only turn into other people. Maybe you can only turn into faces of people you know, or maybe you need to obey the law of conservation of mass, so you can't become super muscular or go from overweight to scrawny. Maybe you're only allowed to turn into a certain type of person, like if you're only able to turn into the same sex (or only the opposite sex). Maybe you only have a single other form you can change back and forth into. And even more than that, let's say you got this power from a mischievous genie. You get to shapeshift, but once you do, you find out that you're stuck in that form forever. The possibilities are as limited or as endless as you allow them to be when it comes to shapeshifting, so I love exploring that when I answer this question.
Possibly problems with shapeshifting Not remembering what you look like. You don’t know every minute detail that someone else possibly remembers. Pain, literally the possibility pain of growing or removing a bone/bones:.
Clones by Naruto standards is great because you can both learn multiple genres, get a job, and workout in all aspects to be perfect. One clone or more constantly works out all day.
Dude, every joke landed and the only time I wasn't laughing was when I had a really big grin on my face; the pacing is always so good, the visuals are very entertaining, the jokes are funny, it's well written- It was 100% worth the wait! Love this channel and the content you make is always so good!
I personally would love to have the power to go into any universe. Movie or book. Such as Percy Jackson, Gravity Falls, Over The Garden Wall, etc. By literally touching the screen or book and snapping my fingers. As well as the ability to become any of the characters, be myself, or even change the outcomes of events to my liking.
“All of your clones study” I refuse to believe that it wouldn’t go like this: You clone yourself, and get all the clones to go study. You start studying but realise you aren’t getting anything done, however it doesn’t matter because all your clones are studying for you. You meet up with all the clones and morph back together, only to realise that all of the clones procrastinated and you didn’t learn anything.
@@NomiNexus yep. Picture this: your super power is waking up and everything is fine. If you then go sleep in countries where things aren’t fine, when you wake up you will have corrected the problems. Boom. World peace, brought on by a nap. Epic.
@@DannyDevitoOffical-TrustMeBro Fellow insomniac, I feel your pain. What I'd like to know is how all the problems would be resolved, cuz some people would have a problem with there being no problem, so do they just wake up with a changed mind or... Not wake up?
Shapeshifting will always be the best power, almost no matter how it's defined. If you can only do full transformations, taking on the entire form of for example an animal, it's still freaking great since there are soooooooooo many different animals with cool abilities. You don't need a second superpower to fly, you can just transform into a bird. You don't need a second superpower for superstrength, you can just transform into a gorilla. Etc. etc. It's even more amazing if you have complete control of your shapeshifting and can freely mix and match different physical features on your body as you wish. Hell you could even modify your own appearance to look hotter, the possibilities are endless!
Let's not forget the fact that depending on how you define it, you could just shapeshift into abstract thing. Like an amorphous blob of technicolor geometry. Or, if you're fighting somebody you don't like, shapeshift into their worst nightmare. You don't have to know what you're shapeshifting into to do it.
Same here, but for me, it's not just slightly altering my physical appearance to look like other people, I want the ability to shapeshift into anything. That way, you also have every single other superpower 😉
Shapeshifting for sure, as long as you were able to like have it be super involved or not. Like if you wanted to shapeshift, but you had to manually create every single new vein or artery, making sure everything works, that's just a fast way to get some internal bleeding and die. But if you were able to have it do it on its own or have you choose to be a bit more involved, than if you studied biology you could just not get sick a lot of the time, and of course.... Shapeshifting :)
Shapeshifting is probably one of the most practical and useful powers but I would add one thing more. What if you could extend it to other people? This has many benefits to the target such as healing and shapeshifting them into something more appealing. It can even be applied to self defense. Imagine fighting someone who can shape shift you into a bunny. Terrifying
yeah shapeshifting is prolly the best, but if there are no restrictions or power cap for these powers the strongest ability would be to ignore the laws of physics and reality, so i could make matter out of nothing, rewrite time, fly, telekinesis, shapeshift, go wherever i wanted through time and space, adjust the world to my whim, etc etc, ignoring the laws of physics practically makes you a god, so yeah, also cause you ignore the laws of physics you can just give other people this power as well, since you can do whatever you want
Energy manipulation, depending on the limits, could be absolutely busted. If it bleeds over into matter manipulation, that's a wrap. You could do telekinesis stuff (the two might even be sides of the same coin, and the bleed-over happens through technical refinement), redirect momentum, convert breakfast directly into energy to blast a meteor out of the sky shounen style (or just redirect it to miss if you're not a fan of the flashy stuff), even negate entropy doing stuff like pulling all that excess carbon out of the air and oceans and making a colossal diamond out of it. If everything's a form of energy, he who controls energy can control everything. Even on equivalence and conservation principles you can still beat entropy as that's more of an emergent property than a hard and fast rule and the existence of the power kinda gives it the middle finger.
Follow up suggestion: typical “villain” powers that would be amazingly helpful to society if used ethically. The one that keeps coming to mind for me is Kilgrave style mind control. Incredibly dangerous but it has incredible potential for improving lives. Could be used without consent in a crisis situation ( from talking someone back off a ledge to ending a hostage situation ). Could be used with consent to help individuals keep themselves off drugs through withdrawal phases, recount trauma, etc. A therapists ultimate tool and assistant.
Gotta say tho, using that power on someone with withdraws, would be one of the most painful things you could do to someone else if specified incorrectly
@@david50x84 absolutely, just like many procedures involving meds, surgery, etc the dangers are not something to be dismissed and would require an intense amount of monitoring, study, and restraint.
shapeshifting because it's incredibly versatile. It can also do what plenty of other powers can. Flight? Shapeshift into a bird. Clone? Just shapeshift a copy of yourself with some little cord thing attached since it's still has to be connected to you. Creating weapons? Sword arm. So many other things you could do too.
A combination of two powers that is very versatile: being able to control your entire body with a high and arbitrary resolution (processing your body by treating them as interacting soft bodies and fluids, with a separate method to alter yourself at the molecular level, i.e. advanced shapeshifting with no violations of conservation of energy) and superintelligence (you can think very quickly with no mental fatigue, process large amounts of information, the mind is programmable, resistant to sensory overload, you only forget when you want to and can hold a lot more structured short-term and long term memory). This may not be physically impossible so there can be beings in the universe living like this that we have yet to know or will exist in the future.
The ability to control light is by far one of my favorite ideas. You can, obviously, make stuff glow and get dimmer, but you can also do way more abstract things, like turn yourself invisible, see infrared/ultraviolet, make light reflect off of nothing (pretty much summoning a mirror that does not interact with physical matter), create illusions, be able to see with bonocular vision just by manipulating the way light warps near your eyes (or microscopic vision for that matter), even see through walls (though that one will definitely have to be used with measure). I personally love the idea of illusion magic essentially! Ps: You also never would have to worry about sunglasses again and you could see in the dark!
@@bobbypierce6536 That is actually where my original idea for this power came from! I made an OC for a role-playing group on Scratch (that was a while ago.) He loved to turn invisible, and would do it involuntarily a lot without realizing, terrible at social interaction, and a ton of fun to play!
yea i its cool but have you imagined having power to control space and time, i mean like you can literally warp to another galaxy instantly or if you just wanna stay at earth you can freeze the time and do whatever you want
you would get insanely rich doing that. Go to the stock market, look at biggest gainer for the day, make note of the price, then go back 30 sec, buy A TON of shares, and sell at the price you noted. You could make literal billions. Or go to the casino to the roulette wheel, note what it will land on, wait for the right time, then just bet a ton of money on exactly that spot.
I love the idea of chlorokinesis, imagine having like a plant nursery and just getting infinite sales because you can make infinite undying plants in whatever shape or colour or species you want. Plus plants are pretty and a big enough tree could probably give you very basic geokinesis.
interesting idea, you could literally make your own food, and a form of geokinesis, but also you have to consider that you can destroy the world, food supplies? GONE, amount of plants like trees growing out the branches and destroying homes? UPPED
the best tree house u make the tree sorta naturely make it self the tree house sorta lame but cool and inf sales for cool plants might not work becus ther needs to be a big demand if u want as much money as that intales probaly a steady but not a huge demand
0:12 I would like to have the super power of opening a portal that leads to any time and location I want if I’m an hour late for an appointment I can just open a portal that leads an hour ago (and this power also is unable to create any paradoxes though the power of yes)
Another very interesting power is the power of Hydro kinesis let’s say I’m in a Life or death battle I can just make a knife out of water stab them and just stop controlling the water and it just turns into a splash with no evidence over there ever being a knife but I guess this power is more of a villain power in this contacts
I feel like shapeshifting is cool. Specifically, the way Envy had it in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Self Healing, feel comfortable in your skin, buff up temporarily, don’t have to fix your hair. It’s both convenient and flashy at the same time
Thank you! I thought I was the only that thought of this! Shapeshifting could be used to like shapeshift into yourself, but like you also have a house or computer with all your favorite games on it. And, when you want to remodel your home, or when better hardware comes out and you want to update your computer, it will a ton easier and be free!
Teleportation is my fave, though it’s the most OP and potentially broken, as Tom Scott made clear that one time. Flight has always been kinda meh to me. Enhanced mobility is cool but it still takes time and effort. The functional differences between flight and super speed are smaller than you’d probably think, only super speed is useful for things other than just traveling from place to place. Of the more common superpowers, invisibility is my pick, especially if anything you’re wearing or holding turns invisible too, and DOUBLE especially if it makes you invisible to infrared. You can’t fight what you can’t see, plus it makes travel to anywhere that already has people (read: anywhere you’d actually want to go) trivial. Just sneak aboard a plane or train or whatever form of transport you want and you’re golden. So it ups your fighting potential, means you can get into just about anywhere, and makes you the perfect spy. Pretty sweet power.
personally, after putting some thought into this, I'd say my ideal superpower would be the ability to function normally without sleep. most other superpowers are either too specific or too broad to be useful in any real way in my daily life.
does superspeed come with enhanced reaction time though bc i dont want to bonk into a streetlight at a million mph and also i dont think we get to call any superpower op or broken when we already have time travel
Wouldn't the best super power be to control reality at your will? Like you could litteraly have every power with it and more, because this power is limitless since you can even decide whether there is or isn't a god/gods. And with that power you could then make it so that you can teleport.
@@geckoo7770 yes, reality altering is objectively the best super power, but the long-term psychological effects would probably be devastating. Especially considering that, like all abilities (super or non), it would actually be made up of multiple smaller abilities eg: omnipotence. With that in mind, I would probably still stick with my original answer.
@@interestingrobot9247 What if you use that power to only give you tye power you want and maybe decide that your death will be in like 80 to 90 years without knowing the precise date so you don't panic when that day arrive and you don't have the problem of immortality? Or you could also decide that you are not anxious when you do become anxious. But yeah this is maybe too much for a power, or the solutions for the problems of this power aren't really any good.
I've always wanted the ability to control, store, and release momentum. Think about it. If someone shoots you, you can remove all of the kinetic energy from the bullet, and either store it for later, or release it into your opponent causing them to fly in any direction at that same velocity. As you become more powerful, you can draw momentum from larger things, such as the rotation of the earth, or even the orbit of the planets around the sun. finally, you're power's awakening could be to control the momentum of abstract concepts such as time. I feel like there's so much potential to work with, and many creative ways to utilize this power.
In order: 1. Shapeshifting. If it's imagination based you're basically omnipotent, if it's on "I saw that living creature so I can turn into it" It's still very very powerful. Especially for espionage and stuff if you copy people. 2. Naruto Shadow Clones. I mean, being able to try anything and improve any skill without any risk at all for your real body is just... wow. Also, house chores or work take a fraction of the time, so you have incredible amounts of free time. 3. Teleportation. I especially love the version in the movie Jumper, where you just need to have already been to the place and you can jump to it if you remember it. By using it in rapid succession you can also fly, so yeah, bonus power XD
I’d like to take the time to notice that the animation in this vid is really good. No wonder Andy’s been gone a while, there was a lot of effort put into this.
I’d take the power to control momentum. If it works how I think it does not only would you be able to control the speed at which some things move, you would ideally also be able to control things like the temperature of objects by speeding up or slowing down their atoms which just sounds very convenient.
I'd like to create portals to wherever I want, even if I can't see the place, like a mix of the portal weapon (from the Portal series) + Nightcrawler (X-men). It has so many possibilities, but if it obeys the rules of the Portal series universe, I could put a portal on the roof and one on the ground, a big magnet and a big coil and just make one infinite energy machine. Infinite energy would solve so many problems :(
one of the sub-applications of Accelerator's Vector Manipulation power. on a side note, the broad category of "telekinesis" is basically the same thing since you can theoretically affect the movement of anything. pyrokinesis: move local air/water or anything to mix it really fast to create supercharged plasma. (also explosions) electrokinesis: strip electrons and make them flow around. freezing: slow the molecular movement of target matter to make it colder.
If I could have any superpower, I’d go with time manipulation. Being able to pause, resume, rewind, or forward time at my own will. That way I’m not just stuck with 2 settings for any time related super power, time manipulation gives me all the power for anything I want to do with time. Secondary superpower choice would be to teleport by just snapping my fingers

The only realistic problem with this, is your time will keep going. So if you rewind 18 min every week for a year, in one year you'll have aged an extra half a day then the rest of humanity. Food for thought.
I think a more "balanced" version of this would be time stop. In my head it sounds easier to manage than the many, many, many... MANY implications rewind of time has
A superpower I always thought would be cool would be the ability to become ethereal. But not just all at once, but also having complete control of the extent and where specifically. If someone went to punch you, you could make it so that part of you is no longer corporeal and they just go straight through. You could be almost invincible by making everything but the bottom of your feet untouchable. And that way you could still walk around.
but like, then everything would pass through you, including light and sound. Then you couldn't hear or see. And if light passes through you, then you are pretty much invisible. and should you go "ok, then ill make my eyes and ears corporeal so that I can see and hear" and then you'll just scare the living crap out of people because they'll just see floating eyeballs and ears.
In my opinion, the best would be shapeshifting. Imagine that your body could literally turn into anything. Need to grab something far? Stretch your arms Need to lift something heavy? Make yourself buff Need to get somewhere fast? Turn into a cheetah or bird. Or just give yourself wings Need to get somewhere fast with friends. Just turn your legs into seats, and fly them there Broke? Just shrink yourself and eat your food at a size that would be enough to feed a city. Even for self defense, just turn yourself into an ungodly chimera with the strengths of all creatures combined. The strength of a gorilla, the jaws of a lion, the skin of a rhinoceros. The possibilities are endless. It’s versatile, useful in both day to day life, and life or death situations. And just really damn cool.
I think shapeshifting would be pretty great. You could transform into anything or anyone you want. You could become the ultimate hide-and-seek champ by just changing into something that nobody will notice. You could look like the best version of you all the time. You could also use it for evil or morally dubious stuff, like to get someone that is obviously evil (but is in a position where they never face consequences) into serious trouble and ruin their public image forever (which actually might be tough in this day and age). You could be a furry if you want. Also, potentially immortal, since if you are broken or dying, you could possibly just change your body into a fixed, healthier body. I think maybe the easiest way this power could be controlled is if you're mind sees it as a character creation screen, where it has tons of options and presets. I kind of feel like if it was based purely by our imagination, thoughts, and feelings, you would end up some freakish, Cronenberg monsters.
I've always liked the idea of creating pocket universes to live in. Or at least, a pocket of space that defies the laws of physics. Its like having a personal secret base that u can hang out in and no one else has access to it. Bonus points if it defies time too, cos, aside from time travel, i can just use it to get a few extra hours of sleep in the morning as well
Now imagine, the car that you are in is about to crash. No doubt, this would be a fatal crash. You slip into your pocket universe, but now you're in a dilemma, if you leave the pocket universe, you die.
It'll be better if you can control and shape everything in it. Like you can make it look like a beach or the cloud if you ride like that, you know what I'm sayin?
@@imma3knee well... if it's outside of time, it may as well be outside of space too. you get into a potentially fatal car-crash type situation? go into your pocket universe, and come back out the next block over, or back at your house, etc. I think you would also want to be able to bring in physical objects, though-- as well as have some kind of tether to the regular world, so that things like radio waves can travel through to your pocket dimension. this way, you could gain knowledge by bringing in books or your phone etc.
ye where u can warp reality controll time keep ur body and anyone eals in stasis state where u do not need to eat or sleep but also be able to play games and have internet be why the fuck not i can warp reality bullshit whuld be the most fun
I couldn't trust myself with this power. If I had some sort of test or just something I'm extremely nervous for the next day I'll probably end up hiding in the pocket universe for an extremely long amount of time.
i'd go with controlled shapeshifting. if i wanna be strong, i shapeshift. i wanna fly, i fly, shapeshift. ez (or pyromancing cuz flames are cool, like being able to use flames to fly and stuff)
I really like the idea of time control. Not like being able to go back or forward in time specifically, but more being able to slow, speed, and especially stop/pause time. Need to pee but doing something? Pause time and pee. Get back and unpause time, nobody notices. Also could act as another thing for invisibility. Sure you can’t like hide in plain sight like you could, but pausing time would allow you to go anywhere, and if you’re able to interact with things do whatever you want.
But you will get older faster, unless you will not grow during time manipulations. But if you are immune to time doring time manipulations, that means you teoretically live forever. Sorry for my English, I'm not native speaker
The smart idea would be "changing the probability of any event" so you can do anything, but I think stopping time is a lot more useful than people give it credit
@@ToastyTastyPancakes i think anything is possible due to quantum physics, even if it does have a probability so low that there isnt enough time in the universe for it to be likely
@@cinnamoncat8950 Almost - I think you can create free energy by subverting Maxwell's Demon (you don't need to know the exact state of each and every particle, just probability manipulation your way to it), and you're also the single most powerful person in the universe. time stop is given a lot of credit its just that the de-facto assumption of time-stopping is always crime, since y'know. Whos going to stop you? If we're going for pure overwhelming power, unrestricted spatial manipulation would be enough to annihilate the universe in a split second, but realistically speaking having that much power would be kinda depressing, so I'll go with having a pocket dimension, since that seems fun and practical and also like something I could use without having someone call the cops.
Yeah, and with extra detail, you can have whole mastery of your pocket dimension, which you can turn it into whatever you like. Heck, You wouldn't even need to worry about paying rent!
Frankly, I would go with Teleportation, rather than just a pocket dimension, because technically teleportation would allow you to seal off one space and only you would be able to access it, and from there you would be able to teleport to any location you'd want, so long as you have either been there, or have a clear image of what it looks like.
To be honest unrestricted spatial manipulating would include pocket dimensions. I feel like that would a power where you might not even be classified as a human anymore. Anything and everything bends to your will. Woke up late and now you will be late to your job? No problem you got there everything fully done and is already working on your job without nobody questioning it just because you wanted it to. Oh wait you won't even need a job heck you could just leave earth. Don't like earth then *make* aliens and give them a planet and live with them or go to an alien planet. Tired of existence? Destroy it. Tired of the absence of existence? Create it. You could even live out your dream fantasy life because you could make that happen doesn't matter if the physics don't make sense because you want it to happen.
I feel like extreme charisma would be very useful in everyday life and as a superpower. Imagine a hypnosis like power that makes people like and trust you. If somebody is doing something illigal or immoral, just pull out the "disappointed parent" speech and watch them cry on the floor
to be honest the best superpower in my opinion is shapeshifting because you could literally turn into anything you want and it would be like having multiple abilities at once, flying=turn into a bird, super speed=turn into a falcon, super strenth=turn into a gorilla, invisibility=turn into a mundane object or a bug. it would also be really useful if youre a trans/genderfluid person or a therian.
I would either go with probability bending (so I could literally do ANYTHING) or one I call “Social Cloaking”. Social cloaking would let me blend into literally any social situation without anyone knowing I shouldn’t be there. I could wear a hotdog suit to a gala. I could get all the tea and no one would know.
My answer to this as a kid was that I could effectively have the Wish spell from DnD, which is summed up by "you pray to the cosmos... *and they answer back,"* meaning that I just ask for the universe to do something and it does it. "I wanna have wings" and then you have wings, sorta deal. However, my current answer is that I'd love to be infinitely lucky. It'd make me effectively immune to any cause of death other than old age, possibly even avoiding that, and my absurd ability to have literally anything go my way would mean that I'd, almost as a guarantee, live a life of impossible comfort and luxury. If I went into the scientific field, my absurd luck would both keep me out of harm and allow me to make incredible discoveries constantly, as long as I searched for them. I'd always have the funding for my research, I'd always have the materials to do as I wish, and I'd always have people of incredible intelligence and success around me, because I wanted them there. Oh, you think that I'll eventually be caught, or it'll be revealed that I have powers? My luck fixes that as well! I could write a fully detailed document on my ability and all of the instances of it activating and put every safeguard in place to make sure I _will_ be caught, and even still I won't, because I don't want to! You literally can't beat it. I could rant for hours about how this is undoubtedly an almost infinitely powerful ability, but I'll stop there.
Both of those would eventually make life hell to live, I think. If everything is just handed to you by the cosmos (either luck or straight up asking), it removes any possibility of feeling successful or accomplished. Anything you would want to achieve would already be guaranteed the minute of your wanting and, therefore, be pointless. Let's say it becomes too much and you try to kill yourself. Nope. The gun doesn't work. Nope. The building had a bouncy thing on the bottom of it. Nope. The poison was actually just food dye. Ironically, ending your frustratingly perfect life would end up being the one and only thing that you couldn't accomplish. Someone write a book about this please.
but with the wish spell, you can wish for anything right? so that means you can not only have unlimited luck, but you can have invisibility, strength, super speed, basically anything.
@@goodiupdown The reason why I added luck into the post was because it's an ability that can't be consciously called upon, and because limits are usually the best way to achieve happiness or be content with one's life. If I always had to consciously ask for all my problems to be fixed, for every power to be given to me, I would probably just become delusional or power-driven, defeating the point of even being human in the first place. I would become the villain, in other words. In fact, luck itself might be completely torturous to have, because I wouldn't have that part of humanity where things go wrong. I'd be stuck in a world with no pain, no struggle, just everything that I ever wanted, for all of time, and that ironically seems worse than just living a normal life, even one with a lot of struggle in it.
This one is really good and can't think of any way around it. Just simply having the universe favour you makes you invincible. "Sick with envy, the all-powerful dark wizard sought to topple Melancholy and finally bring his streak of luck to an end! ... Luckily for Melancholy, the dark wizard choked on a fishbone while having lunch and in his struggle, knocked his bottle of wine over, spilling it all over his plans. His minions overheard the commotion and brought him back, but unluckily for him (yet, luckily for melancholy) his brain had been without oxygen just long enough, to do just the right amount of damage, to erase the part of him that was even aware of Melancholy in the first place."
I'd definitely go with shadow clones out of the ones in this video. Other than that super intelligence and time manipulation are the ones I think are the best. Comic book level geniuses are able to pretty much reproduce other superpowers with some effort. And it's less likely to get you dissected than something like flight. And time manipulation sort of feels like cheating with how many different things you could do with it.
Superintelligence or "infinite potential/adaptability" really takes the cake. you can learn to understand how anything works and how to best apply it, including the principles behind how powers work. It's even better for avoiding suspicion because you can cleanly navigate and change the situation to your advantage.
@B Chu Yeah but at the same time if anyone you personally care about dies then you can undo it regardless of the cause. Honestly I feel like I could live with it so long as I mostly kept my ability a secret and prevented a major disaster every once in a while.
@@thesleepydot Yeah I feel like most characters with time powers only get one or two aspects of it. Stopping time is a good one but I'd probably take the Flash's version of superspeed over it.
The ability to physically heal oneself and others. As long as you learn the inner anatomy of what you're healing (if there must be a catch I think that's fair)
The way you described the clone powers, especially the "have them learn a bunch of stuff and then recombine" is exactly how the X-Men character Jamie Madrox works. He's a crazy-smart scientist, because he learned, well, everything.
always thought telekinesis was one of the more adaptable powers, with being able to fly via picking yerself up, super strength by combining both your strength and the telekinesis, and if you want someone to die you could just hold their heart. sure, there are far more powerful ones like stealing people's powers, as people in the comments said shapeshifting, but telekinesis seems simple and humble
You forgot the reaches that manipulating things can do: -atmokinesis -hydrokinesis -chemical manipulation (alchemy) -thermokinesis And that's just with basic telekinesis, hold up to advanced telekinesis or the monster of omnikinesis (meaning, if you can grasp understanding of the thing, you can manipulate it, even if it is only abstract, you are basically God in any and all levels of existence)
@@FargonNemeloc There was a guy in a manga I read with Telekinesis so refined, he could bend light. He would concentrate solar rays into a beam that would "carbonize" anything it hit. Like the heat flash of a nuclear bomb...
Telekinesis but it's limited to your own body's physical strength Caveat: lifting things with telekinesis strengthens your body in the same way that physically working out does
id pick shapeshifting cause I wanna do that and that'd be helpful. you could like shapeshift wings onto yourself if u wanted to and also I could just look really cool
I feel like shapeshifting is quite underrated. You can just turn into what ever and you never age because you can turn into a younger version of your self, so essentially immortality.
Just wanted to say that your content never fails to make me laugh. I don't mind the frequency, I'll always appreciate whatever you put out no matter how little/often.
@@deltaxcd Well you still need food, water, a job, a house, people who don’t find you to be a criminal freak, clothes, health care products, other crap idk. Maybe teleportation could help you get rid of most of that stuff. Like teleporting food to yourself, but that’s only if you can also teleport objects and not only just yourself. Eh. Teleportation is nice tho.
@@lilcomment I think it should include teleporting objects too at least what you are carrying , or else you will end in every destination naked and also leaving pile of poop and vomit where you teleported from LOL But also it could include teleporting other objects while not teleporting yourself for more convenience so teleportation becomes a sort of super weapon if you teleport things into some black hole.even if you cant teleport remote objects you can teleport yourself to the object carry it where you want then teleport back leaving it there You obviously don't need any job house ro anything because you can just live in any empty house eat anything you want and just take or use anything you desire .
@@deltaxcd that's true! but also it depends on what the teleportation defines as 'you'. Is your hair you? Is the food you ate now you? is what you're touching you- like holding a coin? would it be considered part of you if you put it inside of you? (like putting the coin in your mouth or something) also, do you think makeup or hair dye would stay on?
Your imagination is the limit when it comes to shapeshifting even when it's only partial transformatios instead of fully changing into something or someone else.
the ability to control probabilitys is downright the most op one. What are the chances of finding a billion $ in your bedroom when you enter? Now its 100%. What are the chances of your enemy having a heart attack right now? 100% What are the chances of you living 150 years? Now its 100%. Only rule is, that is has to be a percentage not equal to 0, so you cant make impossible stuff happen ofc. loved the vid ^^
This is always my go-to choice. If I can obtain the power to control probability then there's a non-zero chance of obtaining superpowers, I can change that to 100% for every power I want. Anyone who knows the basics on quantum physics knows that our universe runs on probability. I can teleport by changing the probability of the particles that make up my body quantum tunneling to wherever I want to be. I have a kill switch to the universe by changing the probability of triggering false vacuum decay; I don't know why I would do that, but I'm able to which is kind of cool. You can be invisible by making the probability of light reflecting off of you 0%. Make the probability of all world leaders making peace and using their nukes for energy generation instead of war 100%. Probability of single event upset, (explanation: th-cam.com/video/AaZ_RSt0KP8/w-d-xo.html), causing my virtual accounts to have as much currency as I want can be 100%. The possibilities are endless.
A cool one that I like a lot is called "hole transference" 🕳 basically what it does is you can move any closed loop. Like if you poke a hole through a piece of paper you can move it around, and transfer it onto like steel or something to cut through it easily. Also you could use it to heal wounds by moving the hole the weapon left off your body. Also body horror stuff like moving one of your eyes to the back of your neck so you can see behind you. Very cool
But if you where stabbed and you removed the stab wound would you skin regrow? And would your wound die once its off your body? Or would you have to put it on say a tree or the ground?
Gravity Control has got to be one of the most useful powers there is. Infinite energy, infinite speed, infinite (theoretical) power, hell you could realistically teleport or time travel if what we currently understand about quantum physics is correct. Plus, in most fights it's just an instant win
If how much force the gravity has is a part Gravity Control. Then it can be super busted because why fly when you can make it so you have gravity slightly in one direction and just slowly gain momentum in that direction.
Here’s my problem with that 0 gravity doesn’t mean 0 mass Mass and weight are different things Also bodies can be slowed down by particles hitting it/compressing on it Aka friction So nope we can’t have infinite speed nor infinite energy Not even in space It would make it easier for us to go to space though because we’d have less gravity to fight against so we’d have more fuel and storage space for stuff in the space ship
Aside from the obvious pick of time travel, I find sound manipulation most interesting. Being able to change the frequency and volume of sounds at will would be pretty fun and also useful in daily life. It also implies that with enough training you could change the temperature and pressure of stuff, hover, or cause earthquakes
This would make you invincible, if you have fast enough reflexes, or maybe just add faster reflexes to teleportation and you can dodge hits like anime characters, that would be awesome
Ah, but the flaw... Do you have to physically SEE where you're teleporting to? Or do you just have to know of it? Can you teleport through/past obstacles, or is it just moving REALLY fast in a straight line? Do you disappear, traveling through an alternate Hell-like dimension in the fraction of a second in order to move from one spot to the other? Is there a cooldown time between teleports, and/or does it use up your energy to teleport? Important questions that need answering!
I've always loved the ability to teleport (within line of sight or to somewhere you can picture in your head). You don't need a car, don't need to leave early to be anywhere, can steal anything and get away with it (what are they gonna do, catch you?) and even in a fight you can just teleport your opponent up into the sky and watch them go splat.
Have the power to control a pocket dimension would be awesome. No loud neighbors, no loud music, no rent payments, and you can just pop out at the grocery store. It would be perfect for me lol.

Here's a good few I like:
Some bank security guard can step on you though.

I was at the zoo and was tired of walking so I thought that this would be the coolest superpower, glad to see that someone else thinks about this.
Well unless you could specifically control the air below your feet and where you'd want to go then you wouldn't really be walking on air but just sort of floating
@@LARAUJO_0 the difference being?

Telekinesis is the most underrated super power. Everyone always says "I wanna fly or stop time" when I ask what one power would you want. I can fly with telekinesis, lift myself. I can also defend myself with telekinetic barriers, hard enough wall even bullets can't go through. And combat would be easy, yank the gun out of their hands.
But headaches
@@Kayso789 Huh? What headaches? You train your super power by lifting weights. Eventually you can drive to the movies lifting your car and all your friends in the car.
I'm so glad someone else thinks this way lmao
Also in comic history it is possible to be such a powerful telekinetic user you can manipulate atoms and stuff so you could even get other powers like manipulate electricity or water etc so it think other then magic it is a very op power if used right
that is very true
I could be like Jake from Adventure Time, think how cool that would be
Plus you can be a girl

You can also shape-shift into a younger version of yourself when you get old, so you can achieve a type of immortality.
i just think it would be fun because you can buy a doll house turn into a frog or something and just live in there :]
Possibly problems with shapeshifting
Not remembering what you look like. You don’t know every minute detail that someone else possibly remembers.
Pain, literally the possibility pain of growing or removing a bone/bones:.

@@propio2957
MOVING ATOM
Shapeshifting for sure, as long as you were able to like have it be super involved or not. Like if you wanted to shapeshift, but you had to manually create every single new vein or artery, making sure everything works, that's just a fast way to get some internal bleeding and die. But if you were able to have it do it on its own or have you choose to be a bit more involved, than if you studied biology you could just not get sick a lot of the time, and of course.... Shapeshifting :)
You truly get me. Like if it were to want a new power and it was a power caused by something biological, you can just take it
that’s one of my all time favorite super powers i’d definitely want to have
Shapeshifting is probably one of the most practical and useful powers but I would add one thing more.
@@dyppityjoop5912 Just pick omnipotence at that point
I would have to ability to obligate myself to do anything and do it
so "you will not procrastinate anymore" and BOOM
@Just Dope I don't miss it I hate it
Even better would be to obligate anyone to do anything. ...Unless that power fell into the wrong hands. Someone could start a nuclear war in seconds.
u GENIUS!
@misyah s 😐
"you will finish all of your homework in 10 seconds"
Good idea
That's a super interesting idea!
*KEEPS* coming to my mind
shapeshifting because it's incredibly versatile. It can also do what plenty of other powers can. Flight? Shapeshift into a bird. Clone? Just shapeshift a copy of yourself with some little cord thing attached since it's still has to be connected to you. Creating weapons? Sword arm. So many other things you could do too.
what if you cut the cord????????????????????????? :(
@@jk-gb4et ☹️
@@jk-gb4et It is like cutting of your finger. If you keep it cool, and go to the hospital fast, it maybe can grow back onto you. Otherwise...
@@TheOnlySiggi i do not think finger will grow back if you cut it off ...
Wanna explore the sewers without dying? Try a snake!
I am making an OC with this power and was thinking of how to push the boundaries. Thank you for inspiration.
@@bobbypierce6536 That is actually where my original idea for this power came from! I made an OC for a role-playing group on Scratch (that was a while ago.) He loved to turn invisible, and would do it involuntarily a lot without realizing, terrible at social interaction, and a ton of fun to play!
@@Acudit and my oc is an introvert so this is a big coincidence
yea i its cool but have you imagined having power to control space and time, i mean like you can literally warp to another galaxy instantly or if you just wanna stay at earth you can freeze the time and do whatever you want
that's dope but it sounds super complicated, If you had that superpower do you already know how to do the light stuff or do you need to learn those
The ability to travel back in time but only up to 30 seconds would be so pleasing. Imagine just not ever having an awkward moment with somebody.
Yeah but you’d still remember messing up and going back to fix it wouldn’t you?
@@pinkiichi yeah but other people don't know that ;]
you would get insanely rich doing that.
@@MichaelMilord You just made this power op lol
travel 30 seconds back nonstop

Another very interesting power is the power of Hydro kinesis let’s say I’m in a Life or death battle I can just make a knife out of water stab them and just stop controlling the water and it just turns into a splash with no evidence over there ever being a knife but I guess this power is more of a villain power in this contacts
I also picked Portals, but didn't even realize that Portals without limitations also means time travel/dimension travel until just now.

@@iSpoofy0ff1c14lcorrect but also how dare you

Pretty sweet power.
personally, after putting some thought into this, I'd say my ideal superpower would be the ability to function normally without sleep. most other superpowers are either too specific or too broad to be useful in any real way in my daily life.
does superspeed come with enhanced reaction time though bc i dont want to bonk into a streetlight at a million mph
and also i dont think we get to call any superpower op or broken when we already have time travel
This mans is getting big brain up in here, I like it
Isn't that like basically, soft and wet stand from JJBA minus the power to store other things?
Sunlight's photons' momentum
You just become a power generator
Hm but for the rotation of the earth that’s angular momentum and the control of linear momentum or angular momentum are probably different ish
@@Antonio-wh8lh angular momentum is just linear momentum while spinning, and you're always spinning
In order:
I know!! Such a masterpiece! :D

This video is epic th-cam.com/video/DSrITFBZ1V4/w-d-xo.html
Yea 3 months to a 4 minute video with a minute thirty seconds of sponsorship, pretty good.
Yes I feel the same
I’d take the power to control momentum. If it works how I think it does not only would you be able to control the speed at which some things move, you would ideally also be able to control things like the temperature of objects by speeding up or slowing down their atoms which just sounds very convenient.
You could be a microwave!
So basically super speed except you could nuke someone
I'd like to create portals to wherever I want, even if I can't see the place, like a mix of the portal weapon (from the Portal series) + Nightcrawler (X-men). It has so many possibilities, but if it obeys the rules of the Portal series universe, I could put a portal on the roof and one on the ground, a big magnet and a big coil and just make one
infinite energy machine. Infinite energy would solve so many problems :(
Literally since the first time I've heard this question while being sapient I had the same answer. that's crazy there's two of us
one of the sub-applications of Accelerator's Vector Manipulation power.
on a side note, the broad category of "telekinesis" is basically the same thing since you can theoretically affect the movement of anything.
pyrokinesis: move local air/water or anything to mix it really fast to create supercharged plasma. (also explosions)
electrokinesis: strip electrons and make them flow around.
freezing: slow the molecular movement of target matter to make it colder.
He’s the only TH-camr that makes the sponsorship segments funny
If I could have any superpower, I’d go with time manipulation. Being able to pause, resume, rewind, or forward time at my own will. That way I’m not just stuck with 2 settings for any time related super power, time manipulation gives me all the power for anything I want to do with time.
Secondary superpower choice would be to teleport by just snapping my fingers

The only realistic problem with this, is your time will keep going. So if you rewind 18 min every week for a year, in one year you'll have aged an extra half a day then the rest of humanity. Food for thought.
@@Zathren Well, unless the scope of “time manipulation” includes literally age manipulation as it does in some universes.
Nice tip ill aim for the feet next time
but like, then everything would pass through you, including light and sound.

Stretch your arms
Need to lift something heavy? Make yourself buff
Need to get somewhere fast? Turn into a cheetah or bird. Or just give yourself wings
Need to get somewhere fast with friends. Just turn your legs into seats, and fly them there
Broke? Just shrink yourself and eat your food at a size that would be enough to feed a city.
Even for self defense, just turn yourself into an ungodly chimera with the strengths of all creatures combined. The strength of a gorilla, the jaws of a lion, the skin of a rhinoceros. The possibilities are endless.
It’s versatile, useful in both day to day life, and life or death situations. And just really damn cool.
It's useful and powerful? Yes. It's the best? No, and it's not even close.
If I had some sort of test or just something I'm extremely nervous for the next day I'll probably end up hiding in the pocket universe for an extremely long amount of time.
i'd go with controlled shapeshifting. if i wanna be strong, i shapeshift. i wanna fly, i fly, shapeshift. ez

That's a perfect way of describing his vids! XDXD In a good way of course!
Unfortunately, to move at all when time is stopped you'd need a speed at or above light speed. [and that's a lot of energy concentrated in one area]

Oh also light itself would shred you
_So,you're telling me i can act like i have JoJo stand. Excellent._
The smart idea would be "changing the probability of any event" so you can do anything, but I think stopping time is a lot more useful than people give it credit
Probability manipulation would definitely be powerful, as long as there is a chance of something happening you could guarentee it happens.
Want magic? Here you go! Probably was discovered at the bottom of the ocean or something. Wanna improve the life of everyone? Get a president who actually knows what they're doing! Etc, etc.
Only if you can stop your aging too. Otherwise you'd die of old age at like 40
time stop is given a lot of credit its just that the de-facto assumption of time-stopping is always crime, since y'know. Whos going to stop you? Also with time stopping people like breaking down physics to come up with problems for it. Like the fact light isn't moving so you are totally blind, or how you cant walk around because the air molecules surrounding your body are immobilized

No one is calling the cops, when cops don't exist anymore ;)
I was thinking omnipotence
Or you could abuse the hell out of that power.

I would either go with probability bending (so I could literally do ANYTHING) or one I call “Social Cloaking”.
Y E S. O.O
but with the wish spell, you can wish for anything right? so that means you can not only have unlimited luck, but you can have invisibility, strength, super speed, basically anything.
The shadow clone sound affect really tops it off
I'd definitely go with shadow clones out of the ones in this video. Other than that super intelligence and time manipulation are the ones I think are the best. Comic book level geniuses are able to pretty much reproduce other superpowers with some effort. And it's less likely to get you dissected than something like flight. And time manipulation sort of feels like cheating with how many different things you could do with it.
yeah, stopping time, making time go forward or backwards, those are very simple yet incredibly overpowered superpowers
Superintelligence or "infinite potential/adaptability" really takes the cake. you can learn to understand how anything works and how to best apply it, including the principles behind how powers work. It's even better for avoiding suspicion because you can cleanly navigate and change the situation to your advantage.
my favorite is pausing time. still op but less so than time manipulation.

BRUH one of these things is not like the other 🤣
Agreed. Ever since the movie Chronicle, telekinesis has been my go to answer
You forgot the reaches that manipulating things can do:
-atmokinesis
-hydrokinesis
-chemical manipulation (alchemy)
-thermokinesis
And that's just with basic telekinesis, hold up to advanced telekinesis or the monster of omnikinesis (meaning, if you can grasp understanding of the thing, you can manipulate it, even if it is only abstract, you are basically God in any and all levels of existence)
@@FargonNemeloc There was a guy in a manga I read with Telekinesis so refined, he could bend light. He would concentrate solar rays into a beam that would "carbonize" anything it hit. Like the heat flash of a nuclear bomb...
Telekinesis but it's limited to your own body's physical strength
Caveat: lifting things with telekinesis strengthens your body in the same way that physically working out does
I always like getting into conversations about "what if you got superpowers", they always end up fun
Me too. I always like to think of creative ways for superpowers, using them kinda more as tools or art supplies to create interesting achievements.
Can't believe they didn't cover my favorite though, shapeshifting/animal transformation!
I'd live for either teleportation or persuasion. Think either would be incredibly useful for non evil reasons

Well you still need food, water, a job, a house, people who don’t find you to be a criminal freak, clothes, health care products, other crap idk. Maybe teleportation could help you get rid of most of that stuff. Like teleporting food to yourself, but that’s only if you can also teleport objects and not only just yourself. Eh. Teleportation is nice tho.
@@lilcomment
I think it should include teleporting objects too at least what you are carrying , or else you will end in every destination naked and also leaving pile of poop and vomit where you teleported from LOL
But also it could include teleporting other objects while not teleporting yourself for more convenience so teleportation becomes a sort of super weapon if you teleport things into some black hole.even if you cant teleport remote objects you can teleport yourself to the object carry it where you want then teleport back leaving it there
You obviously don't need any job house ro anything because you can just live in any empty house eat anything you want and just take or use anything you desire .
Shapeshifting, you can physically do anything, look like anything, be any size. Whats not to like?

the ability to control probabilitys is downright the most op one.

@@SeenSven I like looking through comments
wait a second...
Shapeshifting is really cool superpower (It's OP you can use all other superpowers and even make combos with multiple superpowers)
Very cool
that is such a sick concept
But if you where stabbed and you removed the stab wound would you skin regrow? And would your wound die once its off your body?
Or would you have to put it on say a tree or the ground?
This has got BIG My Hero Academis energy, I can totally see a rad new character having something like this. It's so niche but has so much potential
If someone had that power we could finally find out how many holes are in a straw
ARAKI TAKE NOTES!
Gravity Control has got to be one of the most useful powers there is. Infinite energy, infinite speed, infinite (theoretical) power, hell you could realistically teleport or time travel if what we currently understand about quantum physics is correct. Plus, in most fights it's just an instant win
true
Also you can throw a 90kg stone WAY more than 300 meters with a trebuchet.
Yea you strait up just bend reality
If how much force the gravity has is a part Gravity Control. Then it can be super busted because why fly when you can make it so you have gravity slightly in one direction and just slowly gain momentum in that direction.
Here’s my problem with that
0 gravity doesn’t mean 0 mass
Mass and weight are different things
Also bodies can be slowed down by particles hitting it/compressing on it
Aka friction
So nope we can’t have infinite speed nor infinite energy
Not even in space
It would make it easier for us to go to space though because we’d have less gravity to fight against so we’d have more fuel and storage space for stuff in the space ship
Aside from the obvious pick of time travel, I find sound manipulation most interesting. Being able to change the frequency and volume of sounds at will would be pretty fun and also useful in daily life. It also implies that with enough training you could change the temperature and pressure of stuff, hover, or cause earthquakes
Isn't that just vibrations?
@@thequagsiregang1863 I mean sound is just vibrations

I stand by the fact that teleporting would always be superior to flying
Teleporting very rapidly to the air can imitate flight too
@@sparecreeper1580 If it can’t stop gravity, you’ll have to teleport more and more rapidly to stay in the air
But I think most would love the feeling of being in the air
I was surprised that wasn't in the video
It's why I loved the movie Jumper so much!
Have the power to control a pocket dimension would be awesome. No loud neighbors, no loud music, no rent payments, and you can just pop out at the grocery store. It would be perfect for me lol.
The tiny details in these videos like the Super Auto Pets combining sound are what make them so great
