- I was up til 3am last night finishing this, and then woke up at 6am. I'm so glad it's done though. This is a new record for myself. This video took around 1 month from start to finish. I think I can break my record again but we will have to wait and see. I'm just proud of myself is all.
This video is about how I am dumb. It's an edited down list of things that really put into perspective of how square brained I am. There was more stuff I didn't include or cut out because it's not much of a story / I realized my realizations were not right. Here's a bonus though: I thought "fool proof" was "full proof" for the longest time.
I tried putting bg music in this video. I think the end product came out pretty well. Hopefully you like it too. Probably will do more in future videos.
There's a stream coming after I post this video in a couple hours. Noodle and I are going to paint Bob Ross paintings (in ms paint) and if you wanna follow along you can and we will browse everyone's masterpieces at the end.

Of all of his noteable ADHD symptoms, this is the video that clued me in the most. We may be conventionally considered "dumb", but our square brains are what makes some of us the best entertainers, because we know how to think outside the square!
I am genuinely confused why people link this with ADHD. like all he described is miscounting once and misunderstanding pretty uncommon words. first of all that's something literally everybody does, there is just too much math and too many words for it not to happen sometimes. I'm not an expert on ADHD, but I am utterly confused how you could even make a connection here without saying that neurodivergent people are usually stupid.
I get the thing where you learn that someone has ADHD and then you start to notice it in everything they do, but maybe it's just really to see something if you really want to, even tho it's not actually there? like guys, a person with ADHD can have other qualities and do things that aren't related to ADHD.
I know this is probably people with ADHD (diagnosed or not) relating to a person literally just making mistakes, you know, the thing that makes us human and that is universal to everybody. being dumb sometimes isn't an ADHD thing, it's a human thing. and it's far from the only thing that people attribute to ADHD despite it being universal
@@treebit I think the problem lies with him calling it "dumb" when "square brain" is really the better term for the concept. Because you're right, neurodivergent people aren't just dumb, everyone has dumb moments. But I think the way that I and others of us relate to it is that we tend to have a lot of moments that make us seem "dumb" according to society's standards, and according to what is considered "normal."
Idk if you're neurodivergent but I'll go ahead and explain that there's a lot of pain and trauma and insecurity that comes from being square-brained. You get used to people assuming that you're stupid because you frequently come to different conclusions than they do, or you don't understand what's being implied (a lot of potential adhd symptoms overlap with autism, including difficulties reading and understanding social cues). They give you weird looks or make hurtful comments and in general make you feel like you must be dumb, because no one else is having the same kind of misunderstandings that you do, at least not nearly as frequently.
For me, I consider this evidence of Andy's adhd because I almost never meet someone in real life who shares the same type of square brain like he showed in this video. You could be right that our assumptions are based off of all his other adhd symptoms, and that we're imagining this relates to it as well, but it's definitely not meant to be an insult.

Quantifiable means that you can translate something from qualitative to quantitative to typically understand it better. Or, in simpler words: Convert something into numbers to comprehend that better.
For example, it's hard to make intelligence quantative; so we just say: "This person is very smart, because he can understand Einstein's General Relativity." This would be a qualitative way of understanding intelligence: defining how much there is of it without using numbers, and rather defining it using qualitative values (Understanding general relativity is qualitative, meaning a quality).
Now, if I were to make this quantifiable, that means I'd be able to understand how much intelligence one has through quantative/Numeric means: like IQ! We use IQ in numbers, we know how much intelligence one IQ represents, so we can more easily understand how intelligent an individual is by just saying he or she has X amount of IQ (X, a variable, being equal to whatever number you put in: 100, 134, 123, etc...).

Oh my gosh. This literally sounds like my life. I have lists of the funny things I think of, I can’t remember anything so I keep lists of everything. I’ve like i’ve had alzheimers for 20 years. People often get frustrated with me for my intelligence but when I say Im not intelligent they get mad and say its not true, which frustrates me even more. I understand what it is to have square brain and often be confused. I often say Im not good at being human. It sucks.
I hate it when ppl say they are dumb when they are not dumb at all, so your not dumb.

Honestly, growing up I had no idea what people where saying half the time, so yeah, 20 years later someone is actually spelling theses words out and I'm learning new things. The only one of these that I actually knew was "Deuce" in this context(The part of it being english was new), so imagin my brain when I also heard someone use it for a term meaning to just leave.
