This brings me such joy, especially the name Rudy Martin. We had a player piano when I was growing up in the 80s. In high school I took a radio/tv class where I had to do a unique or original media presentation. So I sat down at the player piano and comically sang along with a few songs. In between songs I needed to fill the time while I changed out the rolls, so I talked about the pianist, who was always Rudy Martin. Now I must find that old tape. Thanks for posting these videos.
This is awesome. It still amazes me that this technology has been around for a long time. Tt seems to be more advanced than its time. A piano that plays itself... just crazy.
On the first part of the journey I was looking at all the life There were plants and birds and rocks and things There was sand and hills and rings The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz And the sky with no clouds The heat was hot, and the ground was dry But the air was full of sound I've been through the desert On a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert, you can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la After two days in the desert sun My skin began to turn red After three days in the desert fun I was looking at a river bed And the story it told of a river that flowed Made me sad to think it was dead You see I've been through the desert On a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert, you can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la After nine days, I let the horse run free 'Cause the desert had turned to sea There were plants and birds and rocks and things There was sand and hills and rings The ocean is a desert with it's life underground And a perfect disguise above Under the cities lies a heart made of ground But the humans will give no love You see I've been through the desert On a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert, you can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la

Reminds me of growing up and hearing this song play on the radio. I find it so cool that such a recent song would be on a piano roll.
OMG this was amazing thank you for sharing. This was my wedding song and will be my Funeral song.

It's strangely captivating, somehow...glad you like it.
Awesome, glad to see that they put some modern songs onto piano roll!
I also consider this a "modern" song. Glad you like it...thanks.

On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot, and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound
I've been through the desert
On a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert, you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
After two days in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
After three days in the desert fun
I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead
You see I've been through the desert
On a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert, you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
After nine days, I let the horse run free
'Cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The ocean is a desert with it's life underground
And a perfect disguise above
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no love
You see I've been through the desert
On a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert, you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
Brings me to tears.
I totally get what you mean!!
This is what good cowboys hear on their way to heaven
Wonderful!
Before there was MIDI, we had player pianos.
And it was, in all honesty, better.
FINALLY a good cover of this song

Did you restore the player actions yourself? Looks and sounds great.
Just fixed what was needed...not a full restore.
Can I use this in my videos?
No human could play like that. It would be physically impossible.
Geez, sorry, to sad sounding for me to continue watching... I still liked!
That's interesting...to me it's hypnotic and meditative...this song carries some childhood memories for me which is probably why.
@@rowanbelt3612 Yeah it just killed me inside the first time I listened xD
how many people do you think it would take to play that song?
I think 2 very good players could do it, if their fingers could stretch far enough.
The first midi. Very cool
