Thank you for the video. Where would this be on an Opel Corsa E. I have told the fuel tank would need to be removed to get to it. How true is this?

HI Max, you can find it behind the intake manifold.

Hi kimberly, it should last up to five years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.

I bought a new one because I thought the old one was bad. I put the new one in and the new one wouldn't open either. I checked to see if it was getting voltage and the multimeter was at 13.5. What could be the problem

i have the exact same issue, once gas cap is opened and pressure escapes. Car will have a hard time starting and rough idles for a couple minutes. Did you happen to solve the issue?

Hello. I have a 2006 Nissan B13 Sentra (also known as sunny or tsuru). Sometimes it smells as some fuel were comming out. One day i was able to see there was some fuel comming out from the canister, so i changed it. When I open the fuel cap there's a noise that people say it is some fuel vapor, and that I have to change my evap valve as to stop it and vapor be able to get to canister, but I haven't been able to find it. My question is if I am able to use an evap valve from another car and what it would be. Thank you.

Sorry but I have a OBD 1 1997 Buick Riviera and mine has this emission vapor canister purge vacuum switch that is part of this system. My car sound like it runs and idles fine but, at times and it has become more obvious it will choke out when I press the gas fast or just die. It will also stumble and almost die when going up a hill and I press it just a bit to get it going and it acts like I running a lawnmower engine and will jerk and make you think it has bad bad gas, or several spark plugs are just not working.. The plugs are very new and the gas line filter was replaced and so those are the the problems so I suspect a vacuum problem somewhere. I really can't trust it going on the fast highway now, but it used to be top performer if I wanted it be. It is a supercharge 3.8 V-6, I wondered on the vacuum side that maybe the problems was the supercharger cut off valve, and thought the connector was cracked and order the part, a day before I got it I check it over again and that connection was not cracked as I thought but I replaced it anyway and tested the old one and one side of the vacuum connection was no longer holding the vacuum very well. So that was part of the problem but did not fix it. I got the purge vacuum switch in the mail today and did not put it on yet. Too hot today. But along that same line on this vacuum switch the other hose connection on the top that goes to the purge valve, that hose cracks often and I have to replaces it about every 6 months or more often. So maybe that was not supposed to do that either but I have only had this weird running power problem now for the past 5 months. It first started out as a random almost stall as I would gain more speed to get on the highway, leaving me with the car in a awkward spot. The next time I could just gun it and it would really do great. Now it is like some thing of a car from the 1930's.

HOW CAN YOU TELL IF ITS THE PURGE VALVE OR THE CANISTER CLOSE VALVE THAT IS ACTING UP? SO FAR BAD MPG CANT GO ON HIGHWAY BECAUSE CANT GO OVER 60 WITHOUT BEING AT 4000 RPM. ALSO CAN THE PCV VALVE BE CLEANED WITH BRAKE CLEAN? IF I LIKE LET IT SIT IN THERE ITS STUCK ON OPEN I NEED TO FIX THE ONE I HAVE UNTIL PART ARRIVES
