Newegg great at returns. Got a DoA 8gb stick of ram in a 2 stick 16gb kit. They told me to keep the one working stick and send be another 2x8 kit. I ended up with a weird but awesome 24gb of dual channel ram for the cost of 16gb.
@7:49 Those steam machines would be a great feature on the channel. My main rig was the Alpha R2 upgraded with a non t i7-6700, higher wattage power supply, and cut a hole in the case for a noctua 120mm. Miss that thing to this day.
The ram position in the used makes a difference in a four slot setup. If you don't put them in the correct slots you can get feedback as the memory isn't properly terminated which can cause stability issues.
Absolutely. I would be getting a decent chunk refunded or getting my money back with free shipping. That 100% was designed to confuse people, and on top of that it was a bait and switch.
Listing was scummy but its one of those configure yourself eBay listings, the drop down menu makes you pick a CPU, Jackson went with the 9600K, which the seller did reach out and offer a $10 refund to go with the 9600 non K because of stock issues. No scam
15:10 if someone actually bought this for themselves, would a lower profile fan allow more RAM, or would you be able to move the fan to be pull only? Would either of those options work?
Save a bit more money to get a better pc. For $600 - $700, you could have a great rig that won't give you misery. Buy from a seller with many top ratings and enjoy. ✌️😎
Why, they think a computer with parts that are several years old, belong in a laptop and not a desktop, should be sold as a new computer, after reviewing that trash, they would have re-sold it to a customer
Maybe a little. What 3fps difference. Not significantly a factor.. fortnite is cpu dependent anyways and it takes a few drop ins to settle that cpu usage to 60 % I built the same system and that's what are 9500 ran at 60 % utilization on fortnite with less ram .
I loved my Z2 G4. Had an i7-8700 and 16GB RAM and I only paid $145 for it. I killed it though. Popped the CMOS battery and it fell on the motherboard, sparks ensued and I've never been able to get it to post again. 🥺
Oh no ..that sucks ..sorry to hear that ..ugh. you can find those lga 1151 for that case for cheap seen some as low as 18 bucks . There cheaper than the atx boards because of the psu limits ..
You might want to fix your Used Gaming PC Specifications/Information overlay for Jackson's. You have Storage listed as 2TB SSD+4TB HDD and then say it's 1TB Micron, lol.
Matt sorry your pc was bad , but I have to say this was an excellent video .. Jackson pic was essentially what I built with a atx case , rgb lights with a rtx 3050 6gb vram 24 gb 2400 mhz system ram and it ran fortnite the same . I recently swapped the cpu with the i 7 8700 and performance is slightly better with that upgrade.
You can clearly see the rtx 2080 is heavily CPU limited and still opted to use the lowest of the lowest graphics preset lmao you could have maxed Fortnite out at 1080p and probably maintained similar performance.
Your current is 110-120 volts and the power supply requires 220-240 volts. There is nothing wrong with the computer. The power supply is simply not for your country and you cannot power the capacitors to start. I guess with a change of power supply there is a possibility that it will start. Or with a converter that runs from 120 volts to 220 it should start. Also, the problem with the cooler and RAM can be easily fixed. Just replace the fan with an 80mm high-speed one and you can put two on both sides of the cooler and everything will be great. The bad thing is that the budget will change.
@ToastyBros There is probably no indicator on the motherboard either. This is very bad because there is a possibility that the motherboard is also screwed up. A pretty bad purchase. Hopefully there is a return option.
Both computers were dated The so called new computers CPU is a 3 year old laptop & the GPU 5 years ago and looks like a Aliexpress concoction The used computers CPU 6 years the GPU 6 years Frankly, I would have never classified the new build as new with name brand parts
You can say how many years old they are, but doesn't change the new one was only 2 and 3 gens back. That's well within reasonable when looking at buying new hardware. The used one is literally used. It's going to be older by definition. Performance is what matters there, with age as a trade off. He also got some crap parts, doesn't change what it is.
a Laptop CPU in a desktop Good Grief! 5 year old GPU could be from a laptop as well "We never saw it run" and driver updates can end soon after a GPU hit 5 years of age No, there is nothing new or right about that build or any OLD . new build
With $500 you can’t build a pc that’s gonna be the latest generation what else do you expect? For them to find a $500 pc with a 40 series gpu and a intel 14th gen cpu it’s impossible for $500 especially with prebuilts bc the manufacturer always has to make profit

WHy don't you guys actually put these systems to the "real world" test instead of playing the same old E-Sports titles all the time. Lets see how this thing runs Cyber Punk 2077 or The Last of Us or Horizon or Hogwarts?
Yea Cezanne R5K APU has been stalled out for a while now in desktop on channel data, for a desktop office client fine but not for gaming make offer for home PC and web client The other even more severe issue this last quarter is R5K 5500 Cezanne being sold misrepresented as a member of Vermeer R5000 series and not Cezanne R5K which is what it is. Follows similarly Renoir 4500 sold as a Matisse 3600 entering q4 2022 where some sellers continued to get away with that misrepresentation into 2023. In the case of 5500 and 4500 they're both bundle deal CPUs and cost nothing to the primary procurer before brokered off into systems integration market. I almost bought a 5800H new Acer laptop right before this last Black Friday for $399 but when Lenovo Yogo 8845HS APU only was discounted by Best Buy down to $549 that was no brainer. Noteworthy the same Yoga with 4050 for $1065 was never discounted and I was not going to step up for the price of basically a desktop card to buy that 8845HS + 4050 walked away from that one. mb
@@ibobeko4309 There is no way that small adapter is a step up converter, let alone that can handle 600w. Even a 100w step up converter will be bigger than the included adapter. ToastyBros is right though, the included adapter doesn't adapt the voltages.
A video about you returning this to New Egg would be enlightening
Return was easy, refund has been processed. -Matt
@@ToastyBros Newegg is pretty good about that. I did notice that you guys didn't leave a review though. It's still available 😂

17:42 rember kids don’t buy something that costs 499 and has 2 reviews
And both are 1 star lmao
Then don't buy from Toastys, if it worked, they would have re-sold it on their website for a profit
Just had to sell my setup to take care or my family I love watching these videos because I know one day I'll build another sick one much love guys
Things will improve, have faith in God.
Matt's roasted pc is a good example for people to be aware of the things the buy online. Looks can be deceiving
Its a good example of how little the Toastys know about computers
I love these challenge videos so much. And deciding who gets what based on that opening game was chef's kiss.
It's been a while since I last laughed as hard as I did in the beginning of this video when Jackson and Matt were trying to play that stupid game. 😂 😂

Great video, way to keep trucking through even with Matt's broke pc.

Just saw you all are from Louisville. So cool to find some local peeps. Love the content keep it up.
That is one of those motherboard/laptop CPU deals that were going around on Aliexpress awhile back in the "new" PC

Don't some power supplies have a 110v/220v switch?
you should do a used prebuilt vs new prebuilt vs DIY pc sometimes
Wouldn’t the psu work if plugged into a proper 20A 240V receptacle would work @ 17:20
That would require someone bright enough to plug it into the proper receptacle , why do these guy get views? They don't know what their doing!
That power connector is Australian.
Yall should do more gaming vids, it was funny watching Jackson try to play get over it
@15:40 NOTHING holds like a cross thread lol!!!
Jackson T-shirt says it all
8:04 did you get scammed? The option you chose was a 9600K with an option to go up to a 9700 in the title, but y’all only had a 9600 in the video

If it was the other way around then yes you can kill it.
