I had chronic anxiety so much so that I had to undergo angiography twice only to find that my coronary arteries were normal. My cardiologist said you only have anxiety.
Then I read book 'The Magnesium Miracle' by Dr Carolyn Dean & began taking Magnesium Glycinate alongwith good quality Multivitamins. My anxiety went away within a week.
Now however I take many supplements because I have read a lot of medical literature. One book of interest is 'What your doctor doesn't know about nutritional medicine will kill you' by Dr Ray Strand. Following will help for anxiety.
Tryptophan, Magnesium, B complex preferably with B12 500-1500 mcg, Vitamin D about 1000-2000 IU daily or mega dose 60000 IU once a month, Glycine or Threonine.

As a result of the pandemic, my stress levels have gone down and panic attacks have been fewer. Why? Because a big part of my anxiety was agoraphobia. So pandemic forced me to isolate and stay home. Life all of the sudden became easier for me as I had the time to do things that haven’t attended to for some time. Integrating back into outdoor life and appointments etc have been challenging. Thankfully, I have been gaining tools to improve my mental health. In fact, I’m better than I’ve ever been. I taught myself to “slow down” 👍 Thank you Dr. Amen

I now understand more about myself. I'm 65 and have struggled in some way since I was a youngster. I was raised by an extremely narcissistic mother. When I was 5 I was sitting on my father's lap when my father beat my head with his fists back and forth over and over... I left consciousness and the next memory I have is his putting me to bed and telling me to pretend to go to sleep when mom comes home soon. With the beating of my young brain and the mind f'ing from the perfect textbook example of a narcissist, I know my brain is in desperate need of repair.
I have been showing signs of alzheimer's. Getting lost on a street I've been driving for 50 years. Losing things. Forgetting what I was saying in mid sentence. I am making dietary changes. And I am very concerned. I've lost my thought while writing this.
    Is there hope for me?

    - coenzyme b complex
    - omega-3

    - magnesium glycinate
Space them out by 2-3 hours but take them in that order. It works for me. Hopefully it works out for you. We are going to be ok people. Hang in there!!

@@ramyathangavelu4337 Besides alternate nostril breathing here is one more simple method to reach a state of mind where nothing disturbs you. For a relaxed life without anxiety sit on a chair, back and spine as erect as possible, hands on your lap with palms upwards, close your eyes and do nothing. Be still without moving and observe your incoming--outgoing breath and body sensations for around 10-15 minutes. What is important is to be as still as possible. Plenty of thoughts will come but slowly negative thoughts will reduce. The mind is reprogrammed to reach a stage of equanimity. Do twice daily or as per your convenience. This could be life-transforming if you desire change. Meditation must be enjoyed. Make it a daily habit. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

Dr Amen, every time I take GABA my brain gets on fire 🔥 which feels like electric shock and I get shortness of breath. It lasts for a few minutes then goes away. I stopped taking GABA but I would really like to know what’s wrong with me cause it helped me a lot with my addictions. I quit smoking the first time I ever took GABA two years ago and never looked back. I would love to take it sometimes for my mood disorders and depression but I can’t. No doctor has answer for me yet! Maybe you do.

I used to drink black tea/ green tea every day, all day. I had to cut out caffeine, If i drink it, I immediately get tingling in my face and am convinced I am going to be fired. I'm being cheated on and my friends hate me. It's crazy! I cut it out and the next day my anxiety was reduced and some days it's gone. I get a little excited and will sip green tea and within a day I feel it come straight back.

    Dr Amen.
I have a brain injury from being prescribed benzos long term.
I would like to help myself with your mind work stuff but I tend to react too harshly to binaural beats still and want to know if the music you have mentioned has binaural beats in it.
You get off xanax VERY slowly.
It took me 16 months and I'm still having a God awful time almost 18 months later

    • @pancakewalrus99
      @pancakewalrus99 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I take GABA. GABA is taken by mouth for relieving anxiety, improving mood, reducing symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and treating attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It is also promoting lean muscle growth, burning fat, stabilizing blood pressure, and relieving pain.

@@pancakewalrus99 Too much medication. It is better to avoid benzodiazepines which are habit forming and take SSRI to feel better. For more relief sit on a chair or on the ground and do the simple alternate nostril breathing meditation if possible twice a day for 5-10 minutes for relief from anxiety as it reprogrames the mind. First watch the video on Google search. It is practiced all over the world. Inhale-exhale slowly and feel the relaxed feeling. Negative thoughts will reduce. Make meditation a daily habit and enjoy life. Shyaaam Sir-Mentor-Counselor. Slowly reduce dosage of medicines.
