Angmar is in Northern Middle Earth but it didn't exist until the Third Age.
The Witch King was leader of the Nazgul in the Second Age but didn't get named "Witch King of Angmar" until Sauron had already been defeated by the Last Alliance of Elves and Men at the end of the Second Age.
So there is no reason he couldn't originally be a Southland King, who then moved up North in the Third Age while Sauron became the Necromancer in Mirkwood.
But personally I'm leaning more towards him being the King of the Dead who Aragorn summons in the Return of the King - in life he swore an oath to fight against Sauron when Isildur called on him, but when the time comes he and his people hid in the mountains and were cursed into undeath by Isildur.
It would allow for him to build a friendship with Isildur & Elendil throughout the show only to betray them at the end. If done well could be a really strong storyline.

The second age is the age Tolkien wrote the least about which is my I think they made a smart choice in choosing to tell there story in that age. They have the most room to play in that age. Also I’m still hoping the stranger is a blue wizard.

I have a problem with the whole Mithril thing. Earandil (sorry about the spelling) had a boat made of elven glass and mithril so it was known about long before this. But I still enjoy it, and I enjoy your reactions to it.

I'm starting to think that Sauron has hidden by splitting himself in half - his mind/memories/identity in Adar, and his power in the stranger. When Adar says "only blood can bind" he could be foreshadowing the use of the sword hilt to reunite himself with his power and become a god again.
The concept of splitting the greater part of his power off and putting it in something else also foreshadows the creation of the one ring.

The Stranger is totally Gandalf, as you say, the vibes are there. I hope Halbrand is redeemable/not Sauron, but he seems like his trajectory is failed Aragorn. :( I like him, though.

I don't think Adar is Sauron for the very fact that his neckpiece/armor is the same of Gil-galad. My closest guess is that he is Maeglin, it would be very interesting if that turned out to be the case.

Bravo Eric, keep up the good vids, "Auta i lóme!" and "Aurë entuluva!" On September 3rd, the Tolkien phandom awoke and found half of the Tolkien-verse under the dominion of the corporate machine theyocracy. Thus we bring "council in these dark times,": EXSURGE TOLKIEN, our current channel's counter series. It is now beyond a doubt that The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power" is independent of Tolkien and his world's Orthodoxy. ROP is the second of four heresies: a schism that will leave a forever rift between the phandom and wrought confusion for years to come.
