I haven't seen the third chapter yet. My theory is that it's Saruman, because he was in the beginning the one who was supposed to defeat Sauron, but he was tempted by the power later. I think that it would make more sense to tell the story of Saruman instead of bringing back Gandalf. I don't discard him being Gandalf just because it would be a name that would bring nostalgia.
I also think the stranger is a wizard. I'm hoping it's a Blue Wizard and they don't cop out and make it Gandalf. I'm not about to flip a table if they do, but I would be disappointed.

I liked this episode more than the first, but still kinda boring, I hope it gets more interesting. The part with the dwarves was the most entertaining for me, I liked Durin. My main problem is that at this point I still don't care about most characters.

Same. I read somewhere that the showrunners said it is a brand new character not one from the books just like Halbrand
