Oh my God, didn't notice it first time but Arthur's Uncle is using a double barrel pump action shotgun. He is firing both barrels, what a beast. And you know that the animators did it on purpose because both shells fly out of the barrel when he pumps it.
just watched it again and it has 6 rounds in the barrel and 2 in the chamber, in 26 seconds he popped off 14 buck shell.... hot damn I want one. That gun has to be a custom as I only know one double barrel pump shotty and that is DP19. And technically, we don't see him pull the trigger on empty so it could have more rounds... it fires as many as the KSG tactical but double barrels like the dp19 but you can shot them at the same time if you need that extra stopping power, that would be illegal to own but so cool. Looks like a modded Remington Model 870 but with the ejection is on both sides. That thing is beautiful.

The Hand was a great throwback, I'm wondering about Lewis's heart though now it can't be easily healed..
Am I the only one who is actually on the side of Shiromori? I mean, She was granted life by Mystery, lost him to a powerful foe, then spent her life trying to return to his side(And possibly make him pay for abandoning her) But once she did she found him with the one who took him away from her in the first place. It seemed like Mystery enjoyed being with Shiromori from the flashbacks in Hellbent with Mystery resting in her branches and Mystery definitely still had affection for her with how he reacted to her 'death'. Mystery was basically her God and her entire reason for existence and was abandoned by her God resulting in her love/hate for him. Maybe his personality was different before he was sealed away and that the real Mystery would of approved of her actions. Either way I can't wait to see the next vid!

For the longest time, I thought Arthur inspecting the locket and seeing it change to the photo of all four of them was Lewis remembering the crew again with it only showing Vivi at first since she was his love, but after watching it so many times and how heart-broken he is from it changing, I think the photo transforms to show your loved ones based on whoever touches the locket so Lewis was feeling horrible since it meant Arthur actually did care about him as much as the others.

So, quick guess theory: Lewis' locket reveals the heart's desire. That's why he breaks down crying when he sees how the picture changed after Arthur touched it. He realized that all Arthur wants is the 4 of them together again.

The picture changed to show all four after Arthur touched it with his mechanical arm. The mechanical arm seems to have anti-supernatural/ magic cancelling properties, which implies the picture was always of whole crew, but something tampered with the locket to only show Lewis and Vivi.

Ghost Lewis thought his future was ruined, but that was partially due to his memory of his past relationships being skewed by emotions. The picture in his heart was never just him and Vivi; it was of the team.

I like how in the beginning Arthur wasn’t even afraid of dying, he was just confused as to why Lewis was there and trying to kill him
He was afraid and he knows why Lewis is trying to kill him
Arthur didn’t know that Lewis had died and Lewis didn’t know that Arthur wasn’t himself when he was pushed off the cliff, only Mystery knew the truth of what happened in that cave, due to the lack of knowledge, Lewis becomes a vengeful ghost unbeknownst to Arthur and Vivi till their “reunion” in Ghost where Vivi notices Lewis is the ghost but Arthur is too scared to see that

We already got fire and ice, all this team needs is lightning for the classic RPG element trio, and Arthur's got a robotic arm.
Arthur's robotic arm reacts with the Green Spirit ,maibe he Will be able to hold him back or even absorbing some of its strengh, maybe getting a demonic arm or something?(just by the fact of him being the first possesed one)

So this went from, “sad skeleton ghost wants revenge on friend because he murdered him” to “the dog is a divine being.”

So was the whole thing with Lewis locket that he didn’t realize he still cares for aruther even after everything he *believed* happened
kinda, to me it seems like whatever happened to him that turned him to the ghost also warped he's memories, but when arthur literally touched his heart they started coming back
he belived that arthur killed him but that corruption was controlling his arm, thats why now he have a robotic arm
It could also be that he was obsess in getting back vivi and he was blinded by that.

Personally, I'm thinking that there's another player to all of this. Mystery has both a Lavender and an Indigo leak in his heart. I'm guessing that Lewis is one, and that the other helped revive him as well as altered Vivi's memories and the picture on Arthur's laptop (and possibly Lewis's locket as well).
Perhaps because of his involvement, Arthur seems somewhat resistant to the mind-wipe. He knows that Lewis is missing, but doesn't seem to know that he had a hand (pun) in killing him. Perhaps its why he was able to see the truth behind Lewis's locket after a few seconds of peering at it.
and we can also see in 4:55 that arthur's corrupted hand (we can see it at the start of freaking out) is now controlling mystery (doggo) sorry if I have bad english

way better this time too. I always had issues with the head bobbing from the last two, but now it looks more natural.
I actually noticed that for a long portion of time when she goes up to mystery and tried to smother his wound with her scarf, she doesn’t head bop at all

I wanted to point out a nice detail. I love that if you look at Shiromori right after she has to knock Mystery, the kitsune, away from her in self defense, she has tears in the corners of her eyes when she turns around. This shows how much she hated that she had done that, and then after Vivi had obliterated Shiromori, and only her trunk remanded, Mystery looks horrified that his (friend...?) Was dead. I wonder what kind of relationship they had in the past
Basically shiromori It was a flower to which mystery gave his blood, it grew enough to become a forest fed by mystery's blood (perhaps enough to become conscious) This can be seen in the images seen on hellbent
The heart is still in a whole pice, so probably she isn't entirely dead?
@@kailevil3444Potentially. It depends on if the heart acted like a regular heart or soul jar of sorts, like Lewis' does. Either way, I think they have other priorities right now.
@@Nintendon85 I suspect it was just Knocked Into Next Week (as mentioned, it looks intact), but it got thrown entirely out of her tree-body, so she's going to have to spend a LOT of Oomph to grow a new one and then get back to The Action. Also, in Hellbent, she's shown to 'fast travel' shallow underground

Since the dog is dead, the dog itself has been reanimated, and they guy that had the metal hand, had his hand chopped of (duh) but his hand roams. Now since the dog is dead, im thinking that the arm will takeover the dog or comeback. Or my mans with the robo arm will go crazy again

I figured our pupper is some sort of Japanese spirit or at least the reincarnation of one. No evidence that he's undead. We also saw the green possessing force briefly bat-shaped in the very first video (in the flashback cave), although that may have simply been another body it was borrowing...

Think about how much animation has to happen! Every frame of animation takes at least 10-20 minutes to draw and they do the smallest animations so it won't look choppy. Be grateful that they care enough about the project and fans to update us nd make the content worthwhile

Funny bit of trivia. The sing your hearing at the very beginning is actually a different song called enemy. And it's for those who aren't a big fan of the animated series 'ghost guy' Lewis talking to 'yellow guy' Arthur. About could you ever imagine becoming someone I'd call your enemy. Its a short song if you want to go listen to the lyrics and how it fits in with the story as a whole.
Lewis and Arthur were great friends until the incident in the cave where Arthur was possed by the evil entity which took his arm. There's a lot or story still to come

I just realized that Mystery’s shadow gets a new tail every time his soul is damaged, in “Ghost” he had 6 tails, here after Vivi got slashed he had 8 tails, and after Shirimori died he had 9
Considering Vivi is using a baseball bat and we see her "heart" fly away from her body after its smashed in two.
Its possible Shirimori is still alive.
The number of tails in folk lore usually means an older and more powerful kitsune, although Mystery is probably older than he looks

Well the thing is that apparently kitsunes get godlike power from having 9 tails, so I’m thinking that most of that power is from mystery himself, and some of it is from Author’s cursed arm.

The mystery skulls fandom is an interesting fandom who only comes alive for a short time every 2 years, it will still show signs of life between each 2 year period but it comes back in full force every two years.
Like the periodical cicada, Mysticadas Skullias emerge from the ground to hype, scream, jam out and party up once every two years by unknown stimuli.

Tbf, they said that the goal will always be “once a year”. Though, given how long their animation takes, it always gets extended to 2 years.
However, one thing I’d like to point out is that their animation team increased between the time of “Hellbent” and this one (see credits of both videos)
So I have full confidence that they’re going to make the one year deadline this time around.
But if not, that’s okay as well.

That reminds me of 'Ghost'. Where Vivi also technically touched the heart, and thus maybe that's how Lewis first started truly going after the gang. (It's not like he was doing a whole lot of chasing and or looking for them before their van decided to give out in front of the Ghost manor.)
And it's clearly shown in 'Hellbent' that Arthur was (and had been, for some time) looking for Lewis.
One could say that Lewis in '👻' had no "true" memories from before he became what he is now, and only started truly obsessing AFTER Giving had first grabbed onto (and then made to drop) the heart/locket.

I could also just be thinking too much into it.

My theory is that, since we never saw Shiromori's heart destroyed -only removed- it's possible that she will be returning later. as we saw with Lewis, some supernatural creatures can return just from their heart alone (although that may be unique to him since he is a ghost, and not a tree monster).

I think I have a solid idea for what happened in this installment.
As we can see near the end, the ghost that possessed Arthur's arm has taken over Mystery's Heart. Something that didn't sit right with me, was how the ghost just now decided to do this. Well, throughout the video, we catch glimpses of Mystery's heart leaking colors.
What do these colors represent? The people Mystery cares about!
Vivi: 3:28 (Blue and Green)
Shiromori: 3:57 (White and Black)
As we can see, Mystery's heart has already been leaking the colors of Arthur (Orange and Yellow) and Lewis (Pink and Purple)
This is because Mystery knows Lewis died and was there to witness the event.
In Arthur's case, he had to bite off his friend's arm in order to tear the possessive ghost from a host.
From what I can gather, since Mystery is a Kitsune (Fox Spirit), he becomes vulnerable towards people he shares strong spiritual connections with. From this flaw, the possessive ghost was able to latch onto a new host.

The colors definitely relate to people, and I agree that the entity from the cave is likely using Mystery's connections with those close to him to take control, (since the hand specifically grips around the orange, blue, and white streams of energy, which relate to the three characters who have had their lives threatened throughout the night; Arthur, Vivi, and Shiromori respectively) but I don't think it's quite a cut and dry as Vivi/Mushi, Arthur, Lewis, and Shiromori. First off, Neither Vivi nor Mushi have ever been associated with green, that color has only ever been reserved for the entity, which may come to imply a deeper connection between the entity and Mystery we'll be exploring in the finale. In addition, *only* the white stream burst through the seal when Shiromori's heart got launched, so it's hard to associate her with black as well, since she also has never really had any association with that color in particular.
If I were a betting man, I'd say it's probably safer to assume there's 3 other people close to Mystery that are associated with three three remaining colors; Yellow, Indigo, and Black.

since mystery is a kitsune he might of lived for a long time and met the previous incarnations of Arthur, the plant lady(don't know her name), and Lewis and those colors(yellow, indigo, and black) might represent them, I only assume that they have previous incarnations since Vivi have one

@@hanakoisbestgirl4752 I think it's one of those things with certain undead that they do in fact have a weak spot, but all it really does is stun them and piss them off as it can't actually kill them. Now if that shotgun had any magical or supernatural properties, Lewis would probably have done more then flinch.
Same goes for the howl causing Lewis to react in pain. It wasn't the howl that hurt, it was the massive amount of supernatural energy that Envy caused Mystery to discharge during the possession. Arthur's arm even reacted to it because part of that power surge was from Envy as well while Envy is still technically part of him.
