The fact that one person made this and that it still looks amazing almost 10 years later is still wild to me. Everything from the backgrounds to the colors and lines are so clean and personalized it's just really impressive. This genuinely looks like something a whole studio at disney could've made.
The feel i get from this song at the you dont need to love someone thats exactly like you. The monkey pretended to be a racoon to be loved but he says 'its be so noce if youd realize, you gotta gimme alittle bit of what you got.' basically you dont need to be exactly the same person to love someone, ypu can have some things in common but can still love each other for being different people

I keep watching this art, and am so happy there are not shortcuts in telling the story. Backgrounds aren't recycled, reactions which run in threes are played out and EACH different. A Hanna Barbera sensibility would have constantly recycled actions and reactions - You don't. You make them all individual and unique which is why multiple watchings are necessary. Again, great work!

This is soo cute and funny, this creator deserve so much more views. I like this universe and thoses characters, and that "retro" way of drawings and that silly sens of humour. i think that by taking all that and mixing it with a little bit of the crazyness of Tex Avery, Chuck Jones, and Salvador Dali in a bunch of shorts clips like "La Linea" could really be a nice animated serie. I wish the best to that great artist/creator.

Between 2D animation and 3D animation, I like 2D animation more just because there are more cartoon physics you can utilize without it looking off. This is still one of my favorite animations to date!
This is one of my all time favorite videos for reason. It just perfectly captures the feel of cartoons form the WB from the 1930's and on alive and yet it is so new and different, and the same, and just awesome! Honestly I think you should make your one animation studio and keep this style of animation alive. I mean I know how much of a fan you are of Animaniacs. The fact is for their reboot they need you.
I write and illustrate children’s books for a living. It takes lots of time an effort, and so does animation. I can respect all the time and effort that went into this. The tune is catchy too.
I don't know if you know this but I first discovered Monkey Rag as an animator at the studio that animated My Little Pony and Netflix's Carmen Sandiego since it was in our animation reference and inspiration folder! It's the fame studio that did most of Hannah Barbara's cartoons in the 80s. So yeah, definitely excellent stuff.
