It is okay, but in 2023 the LE will get the more efficient 2.0L engine and geared-CVT transmission from the SE trim of the Corolla. So if you want to get a Corolla, wait till next year when the LE becomes much better.
The 1.8 litre engine is really good. I own the 2020 corolla LE, and it does the job both the city and highway. Don't let car reviewers fool you with the 2.0 litre one and yes that engine is standard for 2023 now. However that doesn't mean that the 1.8 litre engine is useless, it's actually easier to work on as it has been existence since 1998. The fuel mileage between the 1.8 and 2.0 is literally identical and most shoppers will buy this brand are more concerned with fuel economy after all not speed.
It depends on the way you drive, maybe you might get the same mpg with both, or get better mpg with either the 1.8 or 2.0 Edit: does not include the hybrid which is the slowest corolla you can get
I’m thinking of getting a Toyota Corolla Touring in the future. The Touring is the wagon version of the Corolla, only sold in Europe, Japan and New Zealand. I live in Europe, so we have plenty of Corolla Tourings here.
ive noticed that too 9:00, hard to see the front of the vehicle as the bonnet shapes down. also, the higher you sit, the rear view mirror becomes nearly useless as it doesn't angle up enough and you end up seeing back seats instead of the rear mirror. the rear view mirror angles down massively which is just pointless, you would never use it like that.
I rented one of these a little over a week ago for two round trips from Pittsburgh to Cleveland. What I liked: Very comfortable on the highway. It felt like a larger car. Excellent visibility thanks to the large side mirrors and the use of a little window next to the A pillars. The radar cruise was pretty nice too. I'm not sure if it had the lane keep stuff. But if it did, I didn't use it. What I didn't like: Infotainment was confusing. I never did figure out if the car even came with the ability to connect Apple Carplay or Android Auto with my phone. No built-in navigation that I could find. I also spent my first 15 minutes in the car trying to figure out how to pull the key out of the ignition once I was parked and turned off. Seemed like Toyota designs ignitions like Pfizer designs safety caps on medicine bottles. Push the key in, then turn towards you to get the key out.
I had a 1999 camry (no cvt gearbox but the regular geared engine) that was picked up at 40k miles by my brother back in 2006. I took it from him at 86k miles in 2015 and drove it until 192k miles almost until 2021. I then gave it to a local mechanic and it is STILL running and has clocked 210 miles. Indestructible to say the least.. i dont thing you can go wrong with it..
The 2022 model remains unchanged. But. For the 2023 model year the LE will receive redesigned headlamps, updated 2.0 engine, updated infotainment system, wireless carplay/auto, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, the most recent safety system from Toyota.
@@matthewalexis the infotainment for 2023 yes its an upgrade but by removing physical buttons on both sides of the screen and for those in cold climates in winter time that's a failure
The B mode is for engine brake going down icy twisty roads.

I like the Se Corolla my mother has a LE Camry
It is a eCVT no gears
Greetings from Worcester!! Loved the video 👍
Corolla’s 1.2 Turbo engine has some serious pull for such a small engine. Too bad it’s not available in the US!
The B on transmission stands for break engine; used on mountain driving, etc., to slow your speed without wearing out brakes.
Yep, im more used to some of yhe PHEV / EVcars that use it as a regen braking mode

It is not a gas saver
@@chrismacks3640 It actually is. The Corolla Touring Sports hybrid can get a gas mileage of over 50mpg (UK mpg).
It’s not a bad car but not great either especially with the underpowered 1.8 engine it’s very loud which I don’t like. I recommend the 2.0 se model
The 2.0 engine is now standard.
I have a 2021 le. 1.8 motor getting 39 mpg. Good car I put New tires on it to quite it down.
Is that highway and what type of state
Hand sexiness about on par with Ben of Winding Road Magazine. 7.8/10

Probably due to the GoPro placement, but you can put the seat down
I just got the le out the door was 26000 idk if it was worth tbh
26k… 🤔 unfortunately that’s what this market is commanding. Not sure if it’s worth it for that price
Just paid the same for mine
Out the door for mine tax title and license was 27,000 but luckily I’m putting $5,000 down
No it was not
nah but ittl hold decent value
What was the on road price with all formalities??
City gas mileage:
30 MPG
Highway gas mileage:
38 MPG
@@EddieLeal that's not good fuel economy for a hybrid.

Key doesn’t come ou until it’s all the way back toward you then push in and pull out.
is it bad or good if i buy this car that already has 80k miles?

Dude I can't watch this video with all that wind fixed that !
i’ll tell the wind to stop winding
I am getting 60 mpg out of my 1.6 e CVT
whats the shark fin on roof for? gps navi?
probably Fm/AM antenna
For speed 😌
You should get something that stabilizes your video, I got sea sick
38mpg. Tad weak for the a late model. Would of expected 40-42 mpg. My 24 year old saturn s series averages 37mpg highway.
I rented one it has no head room and poor Visibility.
Yay I'm the 100th like! 👍
