Can you imagine being the first settlers to be traveling by wagon & when you’re trying to sleep the Elks go H a m
☹️ "run, Jack"
I cant stop laughing brooo😭🤣🤣🤣
It is a POWERFUL sound out in the woods too.
I would've been a stoner in that time as well, and my heart would just cease function.
you would probebly be use to it. given at that time elk use to be all over the US.
I absolutely love when they chuckle
We love that as well. Thank you Misael!
Me too

This shows how much beautiful nature is.
This really shows how mother nature is able to create the most beautiful sounds. The common loon and the elk in my opinion are the best sounding calls and bugles. When most mammals call for mates in the wild it can be something so Gorgeous to hear with your ears.
We agree! Thank You JJ!
2:40 to 3:06 is unbelievably beautiful
Thank you very much for your support Josh!
Its like music-
Sounds like a violin at certain parts
They are adorable!
I feel like this is what people hear when they think they hear bigfoot or other cryptids because its a very un earthly sound that could easily be mistaken for a monsters howl. Beautiful but spooky
I agree
You should hear a bobcat scream 😱
@@bluegrass4840 or a mountain lion
@@jacketandbeard8732 both sound like something out of a scary movie. I sure wouldn't have want to be in the woods at night and hear it without knowing what it really was
lol you don't know what's out there
Majestic animals, very beautiful. Their sounds calms my soul somehow.
Meee too. They’re my favorite animal. Just the sounds they produce ❤️
Me too. It's a calming noise for me.
Beautifully Haunting
Hauntingly beautiful too
My Lord what a beautiful animal!
They sure are. Thank you Kelvin!
Majestic is the word. ;)
And a tasty one too. 😃
Absolutely gorgeous. Protect them. Gods of the forest
Sounds like the ring wraiths in the LOTR movies.
No one:
Literally no one:
elk: *EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*
Elk; biggest simp of all time 😜
Can be heard from across a canyon. One of my favorite sounds ti hear.
I was just in my house minding my business one time and heard this out of no where. I've never seen elk this far East and MAN it is bonechilling in person.
I heard one in the middle of the night, it scared me to death.
They sound like beautiful flutes
One of my favorite sounds ever!
Ours as well! Thank You Bret!
As always, a most beautiful video. Many thanks to you.
Thank You very much Elle!
The most beautiful one is @ 3:00
Such a different sound to my red stags it’s so high pitch
Yes, it is quite surprising that they are so different isn't it? We were blown away the first time we heard Red Stags! With Elk Bulls, the higher pitches and lower tones are something that becomes more "developed" as they mature. Thank you Rosco!
I actually really love these sounds....lol
nature is beautiful

Dude right at 3:01 that is what I hear the elk doing, and the first time I heard it I was so scared
Wow Nature is just so beautiful
*BIG. MEAN. ELK!*
This was an awesome collection. Thanks for putting it together and I am so jealous!
Extraordinary!!! Nice pics! I love it !
Thank You Mariza!
Thanks jocko
Got woken up in the middle of the night by one of these things right out my window... I was terrified until I noticed what it was😂
It sounds like the caribou from
The Polar Express!
They did it wrong. Caribou sound more like cows. They used an elk bugle but called them caribou. Made me mad 😂😂
@@dmak93 Same. But it was also kinda funny
@Emerio Manzano In Polar Express yes
Omg so high pitched 😂😂
Magnificent elk acting natural. Question: what is the reason elks bugle?
This ritualized mating behavior during the rut can be very distinct and matures along with the Bull. The "Bugle" states their presence to other bulls and cows in the area. If a dominant bull hears a territorial bugle, he will either come to challenge the other Bull or move away. Bugles are seen to have a variance of communication that are both "Talking" to their herd as well as "Yelling" this is "Their" territory.
Bugle calls meant to signify aggression usually have 4 or 5 low-frequency tones, resulting in harsher, wider bandwidth compared to tonal calls emitted in nonaggressive contexts. Thus, elk bugle calls appear to conform to motivation-structural rules. If one observes a bull with his herd for a longer length of time, it can often be witnessed that vocalizations are quite variant, like most other animals.. "talking" to calves, cows and other bulls very differently.
The peak of elk rut in Canada's Rockies generally lasts from mid-September to mid-October, although we some times hear Bugles into December.
Thank you for your support DD!
@@WildlifeOnVideo thank you for taking the time to explain!
My co worker and I witnessed a bull in full rut 10 feet away "display" himself in 2015. Breathtaking
What do you mean by display?
@@TheKnoxvicious take a wild guess
Lol
Got to see my very first “big mean elk” in the solid 10/14/2023, in Cannon Beach, Oregon.
Had a very large rack of antlers, and looked very irritated.
why are they so cute though
That one kid when the power goes out:
Aww yes, the screaming deer
Holy urine stained fur, Batman!! Every one was a 7 point!!!
Save elk !
Meat Canyon’s Taylor Swift vid brought me here.
This sound is attained by bugling and whistling through its nose similtaneously
The Irish “Banshee” myth, ladies and gents:
Krampus
I would love to hear this in my life
Their noises give me happy but they sound like toddlers in Walmart-
1:11 Taylor Swift sure knows how to let her anger out 😅😅
😂
1:48 is my favorite of all.
sound a bit like whales on land
That big ol’ boy’s bugle is worn out
Tujhko pukare mera pyar aaja 😂😂😂
The one at the 2 minute mark sounds like a loon.
they sound like ringwraiths
To maintain cows in the heard and to attract other females
Sounds almost like a womans terrified screaming
What’s the chuckle mean?
It’s used to communicate with other bulls. A series of just a few that sound relaxed mean he’s just talking to other bulls. A long series with aggressively sharp notes means he’s trying to challenge or warn off other bulls.
@@RextheHunter10 alr thx
@@frenchbeluga7055 You’re very welcome
They sound like the wendigo
If hunters want their horns as a trophy why not gather them when they fall off instead of killing the animal?
Because they’re evil and need to feel big and buff being mass murderers. Pure evil
There antlers. But you also eat the meat
Meat and head mounts
Hunters don’t track and kill them just for the antlers.
Exactly. We do it more for the meat. And the experience of being in the beautiful wilderness with such majestic animals
I really want its antlers it looks like I can snap them like twigs
Yeah good luck with that
Well u can’t
Man i dream of hunting this magnificent animals
I am not anti hunting but there is no way I could kill such a beautiful and majestic creature. That sound is otherworldly.
Will be first trip to CO with bow this coming fall 2021!
@@DavidGonzalez-ek3zh “Hey look at that beautiful animal that makes an amazingly haunting sound and lives in a beautiful part of the USA… IMMA SHEWT IT!” Nice
You know what if anybody tries to kill any of these beautiful
Unique creatures around the world they’ll be no animals left and we can blame you and the rest of everybody how is anybody in our future going to see animals if people keep killing them...... I mean seriously wrong just go sit at home bored in there will be no more animals left.
What will be exciting when we start hunting for animal murderers. You really think you’re not being watched ? Humans are so much more fun to kill.
Who’s here because of Joe Rogan?
