That is so cute, around the 10:30 mark with that very young one flirting with the big bull. I never saw that before.
You gotta love this sound in the morning when the sun comes up and still dew on the grass. Pretty relaxing
I've studied, hunted, and learned about these animals all my life. I've never seen such affection between a cow calf and her herd bull! There's no way she's big enough to be bred, but this a side of wapiti that is amazing!
Yes, it was one of our favorite moments as well. Thanks for your comment!
@Wes McGee I prefer pronghorn over elk, but elk is D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!

Why do you hunt them if you study them Lol? Why not preserve their population
0:56 When the DJ is standing too close to the speaker at a church basement reception.
Finally a video of these elegant creatures without someone trying to shoot them for their rack. Thank you 😊

the little bleps he does then he calls is amazing lol
удивительные животные, красивый звук... Я люблю видеть в природе, насколько они величественны.🤗🤗🤗🤗
This big guy has his hands full.
No one:
Elk: Clarinet scream
I used to make the same noises in third grade.
Square pizzas are easy to drop.
This guy is everything a cow elk could want. He behaves appropriately for a herd bull. Unfortunately none of his ladies are in season at this exact moment.
They appreciate his protection and will make themselves available when they are ready.
Oh yes, I sure agree! I'm sure that this bull is exactly what these ladies dream of!
He's muscular and handsome, brave and yet romantic, strong and he provides safety, what more could his ladies ask for? 😚😙

WOOOAH
nice video
Elk is by far my favorite in its family next to whitetail ......majestic and when the bull blows is amazing
I feel like the elk bugle is an iconic American sound. I am crazy but I feel a huge surge of patriotism every call. I know it's just a rut/territorial call, but it's so unique.
Was that doe his daughter or just a doe that liked him sure was showing affection ❤❤❤❤
They are cows not doe's 😊
@@user-mo4gl6fr2x oops I bad yes cows corrected thank you 😊

Yes, we see a lot of videos from Farms and We will take the Elk Rut in Nature as Well!
..it can be tricky, but it creates such Great Memories!
Thank You Heather!
@@WildlifeOnVideo I know, I get it as well. So many questions I have.
In a Few weeks some of the larger Bulls will start shedding their velvet. ..an exciting time is almost upon Us! Thank You Once Again Heather!
@@WildlifeOnVideo my biggest question is if you and Coral can make out all these beautiful bulls. Short of their beautiful head gear , do they have other distinctive colors and personalities I guess I'm asking.
I just don't know . Do elk have markings that separate individuals.
beautiful place i loved canada 🍁

I think elk and in fact most deer species are the most majestic creatures on this earth. Together with cape buffalo and bison.
I know just how he feels, but my voice cannot quite reach that high pitch.

It sounds like you are standing beside a paved highway but can you tell me where in the Canadian Rockies this was filmed?
This was filmed in Alberta's Rockies. Thank you for your support Ray!
I’d be shaking if I shot one of these during a hunt.

4:56 Giggidy, giggidy. Oh yeah, ladies. Let's get it on.
Ew, get away from me!
Well, forget you then! I don't need you anyway!
10.25 ...!!! Really tender moments!!!...i see the Bull puts repeatedly his tongue out..i had seen similar behaviour in male ibex...why is he doing this??!?..any explanation?
It’s mostly the bull tasting/smelling checking to see if the cow has gone into estrous.
Изумительные кадры! Никогда не думала, что так красивы эти животные! Спасибо вам!
Thank You as well!
The bugling from the Elk, is it for only one reason, OR is it used for many different reasons as it appears here on your video, such as a warning to other male Elks, and MAYBE a warning to his herd due to possible danger, and MAYBE a reprimand to some in his herd, etc.? wado,Ann Benson.
Yes, the Bugling can serve different purposes, but only happens during the Elk Rutting season. Bugles and Chuckles mainly communicate the size and dominance of a Bull to his rivals as well as cows in estrus. Full Bugles followed by a complete long chuckle reflects a large, powerful male.. of which is easy to detect among other Elk.
WildlifeOnVideo, wado for 1)answering my questions, and 2)answering so quickly, patiently AND politely. I do enjoy trying to learn about (decent) different things, and with my learning disability, not everyone has been kind about explaining things, so again, wado for your time and explanations. wado,Ann Benson.
It is our pleasure! We are So appreciative of the support we receive... Thank You!

Gah! I love cervids! Cervus canadensis puts Cervus elaphus to shame! The red deer can't even hold an unlit match to a Rocky Mountain elk!
9.06 and on the whole scene is amazing!!!!...its so tender!!!...first time seeing this!!!...licking the body seems a way of kissing!!
First scream sounded like the Goatman from the game "Do You Copy?"
Evelyn Howard That’s probably their inspiration
Nice animal
How to fertilisation these animals
wow amezing
These does ain't loyal
Those are cows
1) they're cows.
2) they're loyal because they rely on him for protection of the harem
3) they're not in season yet, hence why they're not responding.
9.22 wery nice
Как интересно к нему на 9:05 самочка ластится. Вынюхивает так
I like these videos. Thanks.
Thank you for watching. We will try to keep them coming!
good nai
Wonderful horns 🐐 🐐🐐🐐🐐
Antlers, not horns.
Antlers. Horns are keratin (hair) that are not shed. Antlers are basically made of the same material as bone, and are the fastest growing living tissue in the world (shed in the spring, grown via velvet in the summer, shed in the fall for a grand total of about five months to go from shedding last year's antlers to having new ones for this year's rut).
The only animal to have horns that shed is the Antilocapra americana, the American pronghorn antelope. Their horns are hair like every other horn, seen in sheep, goats, and bovines, but like antlers, the sheaths (horns) are shed annually, while a boney core literally a part of their skull remains intact. Bucks regrow horns in early spring, and are fully grown by late summer.
very good job
Thank you!
