iv been using tyranofex since it got its buff and i have to tell you this thing could 1 shot ANYTHING that doesn't have an invul save hitting on 2+ cuz of heavy with a Str 18 and minimum of 7 damage is a lot of fire power
I played a crusher stampede game yesterday against Chaos Knight. I took two of them. Got 14 rupture cannon hits and wounds with them. My opponent saved all of them. 14 rupture cannon saves. I got boarded turn 3.
Oooph that sucks. I've had that happen with knights against my Space Marines - thrown a dozen lascannons, he makes all the 4++. Turn 2 he'd deleted all my big tanks, I just conceded. Next game, turn 1 I'd killed his biggest knight and crippled 3 others - 4++ is just a coin flip and on stat-check armies like knights it competely dictates how the game is going to go
Since Craig said, they are hard to deal with for many armies, i just thought of my last game were i ran two of these bad boys. I played vs Drukari and he shot with over 20 Dark Lances at one, 12 of which did 0. It was hilarious! I do have a hot hand though.
Had my first 2000 points game against WE, since I’ve come back to the game after 10+ years. I ran 2 rupture cannons just to be sure and took out the rhino first round, Angron the second before he could do anything. My friend was not happy 😂 will definitely be running these guys again!
Had one up against a cerastus knight the other day in melee (they got 1st turn) it made 3 successful wounding rolls on a 6 damage weapon and I had 12 wounds. Resilient organism to soak one then rolled a 6 on the save. Then the knight took 21 damage from the Tfex RC. Which destroyed it and the d6+2 deadly demise was funny but very damaging
I use to only bring one before the rupture cannon update. Now I bring at least two. It's still not consistent, but the fact it has the POTENTIAL to one shot majority of tanks and knights in the game does have some opponents respecting it at least
When did the T-fex randomly get its data slate improved? Not that I’m complaining! 😂😎 I’ll definitely be running double rupture cannon Tfex and exocrine along side hive tyrant with 6 guard and a couple Norn monsters either side! It’s so good to see Nids having a tin opener for vehicles!
"Much needed durability" sounds like a landraider profile that can blank one instance of damage for 190p isnt allready quite tanky.😅 But yes. I enjoy the 5+++ as much as the next guy.
7:13 this graft sucks i hate it, it give people a misconception of what happens in a real game! Like if your firing an acid spay at a catan your going to lose that game. 😅 and like apparently in a game were you have a 1 in 6 chance to fail every single roll, some how your flesh borer will never ever in 100 million years will it ever do 1 wound to a land raider.
Babe wake up another Maelstrom video just dropped

The Tervigon needs the flesh borer. I want our termagants to have more fire support.
5:46 my hive guard reliably drop tanks lol😊😂

The RNG gods weren't with you. That sucks bro.

Love Carnifexes. Please do those at some point.
I wish they were better on their own in 10th. Paired with Old One Eye they slap, but on their own they're meh.
Which weapon should I use with them? Both venom cannon+old one eye?
@@nemiades242Quadruple (or double per carnifex) deathspitters with slimer maggots is the most optimal build for them currently.
This video is right on time. Just grabbed another Tyrannofex and Malecepter. Always like your inpt before i put glue on a model.
17:26 haha, love hive gaurd against things with 4 up inv even more so if they only have 4 up save anyway lmao eldary and necrons

Toughness 12 is a hell of a drug.
I'm watching this whilst painting my second Tyrannofex! The casino cometh!
These videos are awesome, your channel have really helped me build up a lot of tyranid/40k knowledge as a new player.
Glad to hear it!

Love my two, so just ordered a third! All magnetized too. Cool vid.
Thank you 👍
I Hope not nerf.
I remember the nerve of 245 points for nothing. 😵
Really love thsi bug. Maleceptor is so hard to find where I live so I will use a Tyranofex acid spray to replace it.
Thanks for the breakdown
Running one RC atm

I always liked the idea of the Tyrannofex; it was their MBT essentially. Gameplay wise, the rupture cannon almost always let me down though

Shooting with an exocrine first for reroll 1’s makes this thing disgustingly consistent at removing tanks
Even if you use the ability, you turn off the d6 part of the roll, you still eat the +6 dmg from another tyrannofex.
Maybe cover Carnifexes and OOE?
I own one and will definitively buy one or two more 😀

Do you do coaching?
7:27 like these are not star craft 2 units just saying
really hope they do not increase point cost, it is our only true unit vs vehicles.
Fine I'll go get another one
Why is he saying welcome to "Master and Game Studios"?
what are you talking about
"maelstrom game studios"
My full brick of hive gaurd are way better at taking things out with a inv
First
