Random question, but during the shooting phase is the player that is shooting meant to declare all units that are shooting and what their targets are, or are you able to go unit by unit and then choose the next shooting target as you go (as you guys are in this game)?

In my assimilation swarm I use 6 hive guard as my extra tyrant guard. It's been working epicly.

How do you feel about running 6 Tyrant Guard with Swarmlord to get him to the center of the board for his 12" vect ability?

New to Tyranids and I'm getting back into the game since 5th edition. I've brought the Leviathan Box set. I loved your new Assimilation Swam List but I was wondering if you were to create a 1000pt list and a 1500pts list using the same concept that you are trying to achieve with the new Assimilation List from your previous video what would that list look like. I'm mainly looking for help because my mates who I will be playing with are good at the game and we are all really competitive and hate to lose to one another but they normally only play 1000pt games sometimes larger depending on the day. Looking forward to what you come up with.

I personally use them in Crusher Stampede, paired with a walking tyrant that has a HVC. Like you mentioned, the majority of Precision weapons aren't going to be hurting the Tyrant, and the few blast weapons that have a profile viable against T8 or higher are likely not sinking enough shots to remove more than one model. And the fact that it effectively forces the other player to sink between 6 and 12 lascannon/lascannon equivalents before reaching the Tyrant makes them either ignore or overcommit...and by the time they reach the tyrant with lethal damage sources, there's a good chance that the detachment buff went into effect to make it aim better and hit harder

In assimilation swarm don't tyrant guard lose out on regenning models if they're led by a tyrant since they gain the monster keyword or am I misunderstanding that ruling?

Just got a good deal for 12 Tyrant Guards (Unassembled still intact with their original sprues) and a Zoanthropes box for 150 USD. So excited to build this guy and try out the Assimilation Swarm at it's full potential !

I try Assimilation Swarm, love them with Psychoparg. But getting hit with BigGun cuz Tyrant is just sad.

From your assimilation Swarm video: are you leaning more towards your old tournament list, or the retooled one you were trying?

I definitely use T. Guard when rolling with Walking Tyrant or SL. They might not get a hit sometimes, but help keep my warlord alive from gunline armies while i'm rocking Crusher Stampede.

I love the Tyrant Guard as well. They looks so good and make sure that your Tyrant lasts at least a round longer, even if you get cought in the open. I just with the 5+ FNP would work for them too, or that they at least have a 2 up save. Also sad that we can stack stealth from the Venomthropes on them when they´re lead, that would have been cool.

Im shocked that you havent experenced the spill over 5+++ on the tyrant more than a few times with the tyrant guard during the same activation. Thats the biggest use of the 5+++. When you have 1 tyrant guard left and a big activation against the unit.

Warriors only seen usable with a prime and using the warrior specific strat. Genestealers and Broodlord seem more effective in any other strat but need some more protection

question from a newbie for the hive tyrant full melee build : he said he would take scythe talons + whip/sword.... is that even "allowed" or better possible on the hive tyrant? building this seems....problematic to me space wise

Confused as to why the termagants didn't fall back in tyranids turn 3? Could've shot the plague marines with a lot more shooting and probably killed them combined with tervi charge?

I find that Mawlocks are a great threat to the home objective of very agressive armies. Usually they leave a squishy infantry unit at home and the mawlock chews through that. If I had raveners in my collection I might use those instead since they have higher OC, but for now its the Mawlock that threatens the home objective :)

An annoying part at 7:18. So he says the ruins rule makes it so that blighthauler (tank or whatever) can't be targeted because of line of sight, which means you can't target him. And then literally proceeds to say you CAN target him..what?

I love the long videos ngl, I sit here and paint and listen to you talk about my favourite bugs it makes my night! I do disagree about the zoans tho, paired with the NT getting the +1 to hit and wound if BS’d, they are pretty knarly at taking down some bigger threats imo. But, love hearing your take on things too! I field tyrant guard now after hearing your success with 12 and I love them with swarmy.
