So many games get this wrong, including the new EA WRC which seems like a really odd step back. Backfires should be really quick, like a huge spark. DR2.0 did this perfectly It should never look like a slow burning and wispy little flame...
So you are just taking one scene from each game and say it's a complete comparison and call it a day. How very typical. Also it seems like you are biased towards DR2. You can make anything look better than something else if you are biased, wether you are aware of it or not.
What do you mean? You are not making sense in the first place. I can say though suspension feels much better in EA WRC with a wheel and force feedback. Sure in the scenes of this video it looks like the car is swaying lot less in EA WRC if that's what you mean by 'suspension geometries'. However did you consider that maybe the car in EA WRC has lot flatter suspension settings in tuning? You can adjust the same suspension settings in EA WRC and make the cars quite flat to the ground if you want. I can definitely tell you that cars sway in EA WRC if they have high and soft enough suspension settings.
Dirt rally is a game that will give you the better experience in driving, it has good physics and the sound is just fantastic. Get WRC if you want a lot of stages and cars, but keep in mind the quality is not on the same level. In my opinion Dirt Rally is a really good sim and I don't care if it has less stages and cars because the quality is great.
Both are great games in my opinion. Been playing DR 1and 2 for years now but I'm also having a lot of fun with EA WRC. Also check out Richard Burns Rally as it's still considered being one of if not the best rally sim and even better its totally free.
😂 Both simcades, both good. Dr has fun slidy physics, and everything else is great. Wrc have great stages, tarmac physics, feeling of the car, career, features. But it have bugs, and physics a little more forgiving (can be fun too, because you have to restart stage 30% less, than in dr1).
if you want a sim racing experience go for richard burns rally and mod it, is free so you wont lose anything at all trying it, the game have what is a sim physics close to reality, basically what you do there works in real life, the other games are simcades, not completely realistic, fun to play and thats it
There are 3-4 rally games i consider to be good enough to be a sim. So ill rank them. From best as a sim to least realistic. RSF Richard Burns Rally (most realistic driving of the bunch, and just like real life, very unforgiving when you make mistakes), Dirt Rally 2.0 (Tarmac physics can be a little weird), EA WRC (better tarmac physics IMO), Dirt Rally 1. All are good games in their own right.
Have fun with your butter tarmac physics and mariocart r5 cars physics 😅. Both have upsides and downsides, but overall, they are pretty close. Wrc would be easily better, if it hasn't got stutters. Sound - both good, but it is subjective. Real drivers, quite often disagree with players opinions.

DR 2.0 has an actual speedy-feel to it. WRC is like a suped-up roblox game.

The S1 in WRC sounds pathetic and weak sauce. It needs to sound terrifying and menacing. DR2 wore it better.
It sounds more accurate in EA WRC, plain and simple.
Have you heard one in real life before. They sound nice, but nowhere near as dramatic as they do in Dirt Rally 2.

the stages in wrc alone make it a way better game, i like it overall and even have 1000+ hours in dr1 and dr2

I haven’t played a Rally racing game before. I recently bought a sim setup so I’m basically mew at sim racing. Should I buy Dirt 2.0 or EA WRC?
