      Fits pretty neatly, but Treesicle failed to note the "shell-shocked killing machine" factor of the White Walkers making peace with them impossible, and he didn't imagine an end bittersweet enough.
      Jon is condemned as a traitor, but is "punished" with exile to the Free Folk he's come to love.
      Sansa becomes Queen in the North, but her family is finally scattered beyond repair.
      Arya becomes the adventuress she's wanted to be since childhood, after years of hardship.
      And it's entirely possible that Bran himself, the king CHOSEN by the country who will rule for a single generation and leave no heir, has plans of his own.

    Im sure its been mentioned but you had said that Snow was the only one to still have a living direwolf. I didn't realize this until the last episode for some reason, but Nimeria, Arya's pup, was never killed. Arya got her to run off by throwing rocks at her because she knew they would want to kill her for biting the prince.
    Not gonna lie, really looking forward to the adventures of Arya the wolf, Westero's most deadly assassin.

    • @Treesicle
      @Treesicle  8 ปีที่แล้ว +51

      to be perfectly honest, we specifically said that Jon was the only one who still had his direwolf, not that Ghost was the only one alive. We made sure to make that distinction in the video because we did realize that Nymeria was still alive.

    • @anakins07
      @anakins07 8 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      I think arya will actually die in the books, but have warged into her wolf at the last second to lead the army pack of wolves. In the books it's often stated how she feels lost without her pack (a metaphor for her losing all her family members) and I think she will find a much more literal pack by the end of the novels.

      Salvador Allende People seem to forget about the producing of an heir for some reason. Daenerys can't have children either. And even if Jon does marry ( I don't think he will) he won't procreate with his own blood. The iron throne will either belong to Sansa and Tyrion or Gendry and Arya. No incest necessary.

      Very well played, Mr. Trump. Very well played indeed.Here's the irony to it, though. Just like Trump, it's all about perspective.Daenerys is all about "Slavery is bad, mm'kay". Ergo, she's a 'Good Guy', because if you counter her then you (flawed logic syndrome) must support Slavery. So of like Hillary, if you oppose Hillary Clinton then (flawed logic syndrome) you're obviously a Sexist.Daenerys has a pure intent. A Righteous Cause. The Throne IS a Targaryean Throne, the Blood Right (as far as she knows, since it's doubtful she knows Jon is her Brother, and her other Older Brother is dead after getting the Crown he deserved) is HERS, by Blood.You know, the thing those silly Beratheon boys tried to claim. Blood Rights.Now, in that period it was common that blood was answered with blood. You killed my Nephew, I kill your Uncle. 200 Years later, Hatfield and McCoy's or Romeo and Juliet and no one knows who REALLY started it.Lannister killed her Father, the very Lannister that served as his Hand. Boratheon took her Throne.Answering Blood with Blood, it is the RIGHT of Daenerys to take back her Throne, and her RIGHT to hunt down the Lannister's (or Boratheon's if unaware that Lannister was the actual Killer, since they didn't take the Throne). Not to mention... if you are of Dragons and can't be burned by Fire... really I mean... do you have BETTER credentials for Ruling the World than THAT? In fact, Ned Stark would agree with me... if he still had his head about him. How do we know this? Because he was keeping Jon Snow alive because Jon Snow is the TRUE HEIR to the Throne, because he's Targaryean. House Stark, at least as far as under Ned, was Pro-Targaryean, but smart enough to not advertise this at such a tumultuous time. The HONOR of Stark lead him to see that the Throne belongs, by Birth, to Jon... and if Jon were dead, to Daenerys (who he also protected in his short time as the Hand).

      I agree. The biggest giveaway was in 6x10, where upon leaving Mereen she told Daario that she intends to leave power to the people to 'choose their own leaders'. Personally I think that particular line foreshadows how she intends to do this upon her 'conquering' of Westeros. This will end with the birth of democracy in Westeros, and that may well be the entire point of the story.
      I may well be wrong, but it's as good a theory as any other I've heard.

    A 'Dislike' is just a 'Like' of the other side.
    Anyway, interesting elaboration on a theory (or perhaps set of theories) that has been out there a while. My main reason for scepticism is that it seems to overstate the case against Dany. She is willing to compromise and does listen to competing points of view. She took Tyrion's advice for example and it got her a bunch of ships. Also, she's quite flexible politically and agreed to Yarra's request for a Iron Island's equivalent of a 'Brexit'*. Sure she wants the Iron Throne but so have a lot of people and as you say yourself Jon does *not* want it, so there's no reason for conflict there.

      The only reason she was open to suggestions so far is because she doesn't want to endanger the chances for the one thing she desires - Iron Throne. She's devoted to getting it more than religiously. To suggest that she could be convinced that war against those who oppose her is wrong, especially after she came while riding a dragon into real battle is silly. Imho ;)

    • @mechiguer
      @mechiguer 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair points definitely. Plus we can add that Tyrion is a peaceful guy looking for comprises not wars. I don't think Dany will turn out to be the great villain, i think she will die while fighting the Walkers, maybe with her dragons too. Maybe she will play a great role in the conflict and Jon will end it by establishing peace with the Walkers. The show doesn't need more villains as there are plenty of them still alive (yeah.. and don't miss walkers as villains too)

I can believe that Dany is the villain because she and her family represent the old, chaotic, magic filled past, while the Starks represent the new democratic Westeros. If there is final monarch, I think it will be Sansa Stark. Queen Elizabeth the First vibes.

      I'd even add that Jon Snow, after refusing the Iron Throne, might return to the north and volunteer to become a white walker, whether by challenging the Ice King to combat and taking on his role as leader of the undead army or acting as peace negotiator with the Ice King. A male of royal blood has to be better than an incest-born baby of a wildling.

    I think sometimes we're so busy looking for the answers that we miss the important questions. Questions like: why, exactly, after thousands of years, are the White Walkers coming down from the LoAW to invade Westeros in the first place? Is it just because of a new Long Night, or is something else going on? And why was the Night King so intrigued by Jon?

    • @JoeVincentPresents
      @JoeVincentPresents 8 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      I've seen a lot of people think that the night king is an ancient stark. The guy they turned into the night king anyway. There is clearly something about the Starks that connects them to all things ice in the north. But I totally agree, the big question is why are the white walkers returning now. That is the answer I want most.

    • @VocalExcursion
      @VocalExcursion 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      What happened that was super magical and marked the sky in the first book? A red comet. Could of also been a symbol for the walkers. Also, there have been several Night's Kings. the one you saw in the flashback is NOT the one you see in the North leading the horde.

      @Ahhh714 8 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      I heard something along the lines of the White Walkers move south when they feel the presence of Dragons. Both are considered long gone/extinct, but what a coincidence that both reappear around the same time.

    • @luki198dsa
      @luki198dsa 8 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      I think that a central theme of the whole story is the return of magic to this fictional world (the world of Ice and Fire), especially to Westeros. Magic is a force of nature in that world, and at the time the story begins, that force is on the rise. The rise of the Walkers, the return of direwolves to south of the Wall, the return of dragons, the red comet, the return of the power of the warlocks in Qarth, the return of greenseer powers (Bran, Jojen Reed), priests being able to work more miracles, etc etc. (By the way, my theory is that in the world of Ice and Fire, there don't exist any "gods". The "miracles of gods" are "just" regular magic, which the priests explain or interpret as their god's will. Actually it's magic, not any "god's will". E.g. when Melisandre says that Jon Snow is living because the Lord of Light willed it, she is wrong (once again). Melisandre is able to channel magical powers, and intuitively she was able to do it "right" when trying to revive Jon Snow (because she has centuries of experience after all, and because magic is on the rise). Just my theory.) Magic was never wholly gone from the world, but it has been sleeping, and is now rising again.
      So I think that the Walkers are invading right now, because the Night's King feels that his powers rise again, and that there is a long winter coming (possibly these two facts are connected as well).
      So the question is not the "when", it is the "why". Or to put it another way:
      "What is the central agenda of the White Walkers/the Night's King?"

    • @luki198dsa
      @luki198dsa 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      As some other people here have already noted: I also think that in the TV series, the Walkers are portrayed much more villainous than in the books. So it could very well be, that in the series the Night's King indeed plays some sort of Dark Lord, while in the books the "Walkers vs Dragons" theme will be more grey.

    Of all the 'How will game of thrones end?" videos I've seen, I believe the series will end exactly like this! I fully agree that GRRM is gonna shit on expectations, especially when alot of people are expecting and hoping for a Jon/Dany wedding! And yeah, despite GRRM admitting that Tolkien's work seems "cartoonish" I still think GRRM has drawn many inspiration from the LotR series!
    If we are to draw parallels between the two worlds, then Yes, Dany is most certainly The Dark Lord Sauron of Westeros. That would make Jon Snow the Aragorn, Samwell Tarly the Samwise Gamgee and Bran Stark the Frodo. Question is, where would The White Walkers fit in? The Answer is, they are the parallels to the "Dead Men of Dunharrow!" Or, "The Army of the Dead!"
    Aragorn, along with Legolas and Gimli left the Rohirrim in search for more allies just before the War of Gondor. Aragorn faced the leader with his new blade and tells them that "if the army fights for him, he will hold their oaths fulfilled!" And so in last moments of the war, the army of the dead layed waste to Sauron's army, ending the battle.
    I believe Jon Snow will make a deal or broker peace with the Night's King and will become allies in the final war between Jon Snow and Dany!

      I think deanery done a lot of bad. She has said many times unless you help me I will burn your cities and stuff like that and when not getting what she wants she turn really bad. So no doubt is she not a good person and she likes to sleep with the most cruel murderers as well.
      Although I don't think she wants to kill everyone like Sauron. She is just a typical power grabbing person/state who happens to get special amount of powers with her dragons. She is basically very similar to Cersei and even Sansa has that level of greed in her. A version of United states as a nation with the dragons being nukes. Going into middle east dictatorships looking for resources while setting people free and making it actually worse for them. Then just leave them in chaos and go back to the west. It is a very fitting analogy.
      I think you can make peace with her though and that will happen in the end and well the dragon may have to die as they are well hard to justify as being nice creatures and then have some socialistic reforms in the end.
      Not seeing the white walkers as warriors for good either in any way. Although you may make peace with them I guess.

      Or Uncle Benjen becomes the new Nights King, Bran the New Bloodraven Sansa as Queen of the North, Daenerys as Queen of the South, and Jon marrying either Arya or Lyanna Mormont as King of the Seven Kingdoms.
      A recent video deleted due to copyright, suggests that Daenerys will try to conquer King's Landing but her Dragons will light up the batches of Wildfire killing millions. Jon will marry Daenerys only for a time. Then in Azor Ahai fashion stabs her and her spirit goes into the sword bringing back Lightbringer. Jon arises as Azor Ahai but the Nights King leads them to truce with The Children and perhaps abandon Feudalism.

    2nd ending could be: GOT is trying to teach us lesson about how power can drive humanity insane. That is why they created the white walker, to diminish all humans and let nature wins at last.

The Southerners say the religion of the 7 is the correct way, as the imperials say that the correct god in the 9 daedric gods which or represented by human emotion. But the Northerners pray to the the wearwoods and the first men, as the Stormcloaks pray to Talos, one of the first men of their world. Also the way the Stormcloaks base of operations Windhelm is very Winterhold looking, also the imperial city of solitude is even set very similarly as Kingslanding. There even is a small dispute between two Houses in Skyrim, The Northern Gray manes vs the Southern Battle borns. Very very similar to Lannisters and Starks if you ask me.

    So, this would make sense if Hodor changed to a whitewalker and Bram talks with him. That Bram brings both, John Snow and the Whitewalkers together because the Whitewalkers knew the coming of the Dragon Mother and of course are gaining numbers of more walkers to fight her regardless of how to get the bodies. So when john has bram strike a deal, so does their uncle show up in a scene meeting Danaris and is burned to show that she will become a mad queen, completely destroying the Queen and in that moment, Jami stabs his sister and suddenly have the new light bringer show, followed by the use of the magic swords. I gotta work on this some more thinking on it but I could see that after a war, one dragon lost, suddenly to temporary retreat while the white walkers just wanted to be left alone make a big wall again and to suddenly have the next gen of "beware the dragon mother is coming again." Does make so much sense. Thank you Treesickle.

      The Others don't want to destroy all life. They just need a constant supply of sacrifice. Every 8 thousand years or so they need the sacrifice of a prince of Ice and Fire. Our greatest, purest hero becomes our most dreaded enemy. After 8000 years Jon will show up on a dead horse and say "Where the new prince @?" Think about it. The current Night King was a Stark when he was alive. Ever wonder why the Starks have all these special warging powers and why they thrive in Winter? It's because they are related to the Knight's King. The north remembers that it is always a Stark that saves their ass from the Others. The funny thing is that they don't even remember why they need to remember, they just remember cause they remember having to remember. It's like the movie Memento but backwards.

    I don't think this theory makes sense. Having Westeros achieve lasting peace through diplomacy with the WWs in a story that supposedly "realistic" seems like more of a stretch than Jon and Dany having a political marriage. In fact, at least in the show, it seems like the latter may be the case.
    Also brokering peace with the Others is a bad idea, story wise. We are not invested in them, so anything that's done in that respect will feel one sided. Not only that, but I think you overstate GRRM anti-war message. It seems to me he's far more concerned with describing the reality of the combat and politics of late middle ages than giving us the idealized cliched boilerplate response to it. Wars are already bad enough without a public service announcement at the end.
    More than likely the WW are just a plot device. A common threat the divided forces of Men will rally against for one final time, and then the ensuing war will rewrite the borders, setting the stage for future conflicts, maybe even a hint of their return.
    The reason I think this is because Dany has the weapons that Jon needs against the Others: dragons; wildfire, if she can get it before Cersei blows it up; the ingredients to make dragon glass, more than likely; and the most fearless fighting force in the world.That's no accident. Setting all that up just to have nothing to be resolved- and shaking hands with the WW isn't resolve - in is something even unpredictable GRRM wouldn't do.
    Lastly, GRRM probably has less power over the direction of GoT than he does his own books, as you can tell once the show outstripped the books. The series is far more predictable than the books, but that isn't really a bad thing. Life is often predictable.
    I think the true end is this: Dany's going to clean up in the south, not without trouble, and will turn her ire against the north where Jon will be more concerned with WWs than her. She will threaten war against the "Stark" traitor, but Bran's news of Jon's lineage will be the grounds of a tenuous peace. This alliance will probably lead to a political marriage orchestrated by Tyrion. This peace through diplomacy will only serve as the grounds for a human vs WW war; not the end of it; so expect Jon and Dany to get married well before the last episode. Jon is going to struggle against Dany to get her to cooperate with a defense against the WWs. They both finally come to an understanding. One of them or both die, and the successor of Jon, if not Jon himself, will hold the Iron Throne for a time in relative peace, but will leave no heir, sowing the seeds of the next round of conflict; except this time, you have raping, pillaging, Dothraki in the main land.
    Evidence of a political union against the WWs over WWs peace with evil Dany:
    1. Wars are bad, but generally shape the political and cultural climate after they are waged, and bringing about "peace" under bad conditions can often foment climate for new wars as an unintended consequence. Namely, the treaty of Versailles leading to WWII; the execution of Saddam leading to ISIS; conquering of Slavers Bay leading to economic and political instability. Shaking hands with the WWs is more than likely not going to change this any more than all out war with them would. In fact, I think humans rally against a common nonhuman foe would do more to change relations within the 7 kingdoms than an accord with the WWs.
    2. An evil Dany would only be a penultimate villain. Even if she was the Big Bad, she will only be so in the sense that she would keep humanity from protecting itself against a larger threat.
    3. Tyrion is friends of both Jon and Dany.
    4. Sansa knows Tyrion is a good man.
    5. R+L=J seems to concern humans more than WWs.
    6. CoF created WWs as a weapon against humans. Never once mentioned any conditions to stop them. In fact, they imply that war with them is the only way.
    7. Jon Snow doesn't care about ruling, which makes him a good choice for a king, not to be the guy to hash out a deal with Ice wizards. Tyrion's better for that.
    8. If Humans still have conflicts leading up the the WW armistice, how is that going to change, afterwards? It makes far more sense for humans to rally around a common cause than to do so after the crisis is averted.
    9. This is a human story. The WWs are pretty much an undeveloped plot device.

      The WWs are called "the others" in the books. Their purpose is to show how in real life people tend to dehumanize their enemies in war, making them out to be almost monsters, as different from us as animals, which in turn makes it possible for decent people to do by the millions what only evil people would do on their own - killing, torturing and generally mistreating the "others", who are stripped of their humanity. Also, there is no "Big Bad" - war and ignorance of the other side are the negative forces of the story, all characters could be viewed as their victims (yes, even the Boltons).

    • @glacialimpala
      @glacialimpala 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah but what about this - white walkers were made easily, using magic. Three eyed raven was obviously involved with the Children. So I strongly believe that WWs can be eradicated after the need for them has passed. Maybe they even disappear on their own. Obviously they haven't disappeared yet because the strategy against them was wrong, or it simply wasn't the time. Either way something needs to happen, that hasn't happened before.
      Or Martin goes with the old 'history repeating itself' - mankind learns that war is wrong after all of the known world has suffered loss (which already happened pretty much), they live in peace for a while, shit hits the fan again, the Children make WWs, fast forward to a new wall etc. That kind of thinking, while a chiche, agrees with 1) wars being bad 2) nature of man being greedy.
      I dunno, but whatever happens the show will be a very lame version of it.

      He didn't decline it. He claimed it for Robert, when he found Jaime Lannister seated there. It was Robert's rebellion after all, it would have been a dick move. Plus, Robert had a blood claim to the throne, as the Baratheons were related to the Targaryens. I don't think Jon will deny the Throne. I think he'll have it destroyed. But there's a lot to be seen till then.

    • @510Nouploads
      @510Nouploads 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      John Hetherton
      Ned had the chance to claim the Iron throne. Robert was an usurper, blood-related or not, he was not in the line of succession. Ned gave the Iron throne to Robert due to his honor. Snatching it from under his nose may be a dick move, but it could leave the seven kingdoms in a much better state. Good actions are not always wise, and evil actions are not always unwise. Ned is a person who would strive to always do good regardless, which is why he died the way he did.
      I don't see what destroying the throne would do. It's simply a symbol of the monarchy, after all. Destroying it wouldn't help in any way. If anything it might even lead to a civil war since suddenly you don't need a right or linage to rule. It would just lead to a bunch of tyrants taking control of land.

      Do you know if it was called 'Robert's Rebellion' during it or called that after he sat the Iron Throne. I mean, in all honesty, it was a Stark Rebellion as much as a Baratheon one. Ned lost his father, brother, and sister. Robert just lost a wife(although one he never stopped loving, so I'll give some points to that), but I'm pretty sure Ned thought the pre-rebellion Robert would have been a good fit for king, but he really deteriorated after the rebellion

      I've said it the entire time. Two things I've said since my friend put me on to this show and I watched Episode 1. Okay, 3 things I've said.1. House Stark is my favorite (which is intended, they were the Good Guy in this Shell Game for us all to get behind with an emotional investment).2. The Throne is Targaryean. This will never change. So the Boratheon kids arguing over Blood Rights is silly.3. House Stark, at least under Ned, AGREE it's a Targaryean Throne... which gets proven by Ned twice. Once in which it's finally revealed that Jon IS a Targaryean, and once when he defends Daenerys as the Hand.I had never read the books, but at Episode One I was certain of these things to which later are revealed to be true. I didn't know at the time that Jon was Targaryean or that Ned would basically save Dany's life, but I did feel his sense of Honor wouldn't allow him to take the Throne (and him knowing the entire time that Jon is Targaryean sort of makes other things he did make sense now).

    You are contradicting yourself while concluding that Jon is the ultimate do-gooder and Daenerys the ultimate villain. Jon rushed straight into a losing battle which would have left the north defenseless in the hands of Ramsey, and to an extent would have fucked over and doomed the entirety of Westeros were it not for Sansa's help. Daenerys conquers yes, but also abolishes slavery and reaving along the way. If anything I think that Daenerys is the one portrayed as a villain with her dragons and black banners, but will turn out to be the noble force. Jon is the one portrayed as a hero.

    • @Heshinsi
      @Heshinsi 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Exactly. Anyone calling someone desperately attempting to free people from the type of slavery depicted on this show, as evil, really makes me question where their train of thought is coming from. The fact that she has almost unanimous support amongst the freed people and the lower classes also makes me scratch my head at people saying Dany is evil.
      Maybe I'm looking at this from the wrong perspective, and there are people who do in fact root for the slavers. From that perspective I can see how Dany could be evil to them.

      +RollTide8569 Well, she coldly watched her brother die while he was begging, "Dany! Please!" She burned Mirri Maz Duur alive for performing the blood magic that she asked her to perform. She has entombed people, set her dragons on people, crucified random people, and trapped people in a burning building, all because they offended her in some way. She has conquered cities by force, and demanded that they abandon their culture, and do what she commands. She is now sailing at the head of an invasion fleet, ready to cause countless casualties so that she can sit on the Iron Throne, which she feels entitled to because of her birth. Other than that, she's a real sweetheart. Unless you're Jorah or Dario.

    • @RollTide8569
      @RollTide8569 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      To be fair, viserys was abusive to her, the witch killed her husband, and slavery is bad, mmmkay!

    • @victoriajohnson4420
      @victoriajohnson4420 8 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      RollTide8569 Your point of view is what makes many people see Daenerys as good. It is what makes her a gray character, rather than an obvious villain, to many people. She seems to be doing the right thing. But do you believe that bad people deserve to die, and that bad cultures deserve to be conquered? To support Dany's conquests is to embrace the idea that the ends justify the means, and the idea that might makes right, so a supreme ruler can do anything they deem necessary. Dictatorships are bad, mmmkay?
      Was Viserys so abusive to Dany that he deserved to die? Was he posing an immediate, real threat to her safety? Viserys arranged a political marriage, which was the way things were done in that world. He did some trash-talking about her. He was a jerk. He was also the rightful heir, her full blood brother, and a human being with a right to live.
      Murder is bad, mmmkay?
      The witch did not kill Khal Drogo. She treated the wounded Khal with healing herbs, which he removed because they itched. He used dirt to cover the wound, which then became infected. At or near the point of death, Dany ordered the witch to use blood magic to keep him alive. She did that, although he was left in a vegetative state. She was happy about the outcome, as she did want vengeance on the Dothraki for destroying her village, and raping and enslaving herself and her people. If bad people deserve to die, then surely Khal Drogo deserved death. In the end, it was Dany who mercy-killed her husband.
      Slavery is one of the worst evils in the world, and ending it is a noble goal. But how it is ended does matter. In the US, it was ended with a Civil War. Abolition was imposed on the slave-owners, and this manner of ending slavery caused problems that we are still dealing with.

As long as that altar exists the White Walkers can`t be stopped). Just as the Doom destroyed Valyria, Jon will destroy Northeros. In other words... the reverse of the King Arthur tale! There's an obvious parallel between Maegor the Cruel and Mad King Aerys, so it makes sense that Rhaegar would call his prince who was promised Jaehaerys

    Great political reading of Daenerys, who also stands for the violence of the pre-civilizatory/pre-political (incest, dragons, fire, even the Dothrakis). The best closure, the real "breaking of the wheel", would have to include her demise & the destruction of the throne itself.
    I don't see the show going this way without causing an uproar, especially because the show itself hasn't been really interested in problematizing Daenerys as a political figure. It's rather chosen to celebrate her in spectacular terms. Hence the huge amounts of money spent in CGI dragons.

Don't forget he is the one who started the war between Lannisters and Starks convincing this wacky lady from the Eyrie to poison her husband and put the blame on the Lannisters. I'm also pretty convinced that he spread the rumor about Lyannas alleged kidnapping because he knew that Robert would start a war and take Ned with him leaving Catelyn all to himself. The last part of what you're saying is wrong. At that time Petyr was sent home to the Fingers after the failed browl with Brandon and the abortion of his supposed kid with Lysa. Only after the Rebelion he came back to the highborn ambient, with the help of Lysa, he was named in a financial position in the city of Gulltown and after that he was sent by Arryn to the capital due to his succes with financial growth in revenues from Gulltown( a big city in the Vale) Only after that he came in contact with the real power, few years before the events.

He isn't gonna learn any more about how to kill the Others beyond obsidian and dragon fire and Bran will most likely relate their origins to Jon so there's not much left for Sam to discover himself. He must have another purpose there - what better replacement for the constant battling over a throne than a council of learned men who are (supposedly) neutral and apolitical?

While it didn't end happily for everyone (looking at you Dany), the last episode had all the stark children get a happily ever after, even the randoms that survived are serving the new king. I was always rooting for the white walkers to when honestly, knew it wouldn't happen but at least it would have been interesting.

    • @nuttydishwasher5377
      @nuttydishwasher5377 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha, you're SO right.
      For many people GOT didn't have a happy ending because it didn't end the way they wanted it to end.
      People wanted Daenerys and Jon to become king and queen and have many beautiful inbred children together, yeah right....like THAT was ever going to happen.
      This ending was as happy as GOT ever going to get.
      Jon reunited with Ghost and Tormund to live in the high north because KL was NEVER his home anyway.
      Daenerys DID break the wheel in the end.
      And Tyrion finally got into the position he excels at, ruling while surrounding himself with trustworthy people.
      Bran becomes King, Sansa becomes Queen of the North, Arya gets to be an explorer, Gendry is lord of Storms end, Sam becomes a Grandmaester and a father, Lord Davos becomes master of ships, Bronn gets his castle and Brienne and Pod are both members of the kings guard.
      Now I agree that the pacing of the last 2 seasons was badly executed, I understand the criticism in that regard.
      But the overall ending I find satisfying and fitting enough.
