I know the feeling. Are you finding it hard to find new Pokémon cards at retail stores? I collect the baseball, football, basketball, and hockey and I haven't been able to find anything in over a year. The flippers show up & buy everything out when the stores open. In some ways its good...I just buy singles or lots on Ebay and get the cards I want but I miss ripping open a few boxes to try to get something awesome. I've been priced out of unopened product. Is the same thing happening with Pokémon?
@@codyjames52 Thats cool as long as they don't over do it like the companies did with sports cards during the junk wax era. My niece collects "Magic" cards and she can't find much either. The nice thing is she's young and doesn't mind driving around looking for them. So now she's going to look for my cards when she looks for hers. Its just a shame that most of the retail product goes to dealers who don't sell it for retail prices and the small amounts that go to retail stores get bought up by flippers.
My best card has to be my 1990 Score Dream Team Jose Canseco. The one in black and white. It's not graded but if I had to guess it is a PSA Gem Mint 8. I also keep it under my mattress. With my 1989 Upper Deck Nolan Ryan throwing a football.
Very cool to see Phil! Thank you for sharing. I would recommend putting a PSA Perfect Fit Sleeve on those gems though! Protect the case from scratches at least.

I'd like to see a top ten based not on value/popularity but strictly on sentimental value. For example, one of my best cards, while not necessarily valuable, is one of the first cards I ever pulled the first time I was collecting as a kid. Stuff like that. That would be much more interesting.
The Tattis super is one thing. If sold with the rest of the PSA-10 rainbow, the sum would be more than selling them individually IMO. Having the rainbow, perfectly graded, publicized and owned by a former MLB all-star... adds to the lore. Sort of like Vegas Dave and the Trout Super, only not as sleazy. 😂
That was very fun to see, next I want to see the Top 10 cards you talked about at the beginning of having more attachment to for reasons other than dollar value, there is probably a good story with each and every one of them!

As a Baseball card collector and a former Yankee. How don’t you owe anything vintage Yankees worth more then these newer cards? No mantle or Berra. Invation to old timers game revoked. I really that you’d have a 52 mantle in your collection

I have the Mbappe Kaboom ungraded. Bought it raw in the summer of 2019 for $450, and I feel like it has to be worth at least $5K now. Not particularly interested in grading though because I think a PSA 9 is the best it would muster. Very pleased with the investment tho. I bought two soccer cards and that’s the extent of my soccer collection: the Mbappe Kaboom and a 2018 Mbappe Hyper Prizm RC also raw. Paid $170, and that one has appreciated nicely too. Thanks for sharing your fire cards, Phil. That Tatis is truly special.
awesome cards... impressive, after this year that Tatis will have to be a 7 figure card unless the market collapses.... even then it's just a waiting game until it pops again and if you hang on to it, it's probably back up there again, just a keeper for sure lol.
That Tatis was the best one I think in your collection, liked the Franco as well but don't think it's worth that much. I collect both Franco and Tatis but we don't know if Franco will be a huge star like Tatis or other's in the league yet. Nice collection though
