One thing that I feel like people overlook is the theme of this part. Where as Part 1s theme can be seen as just GoodVsEvil, or the struggle between humanity and monster, Part 2s theme is Honor. This is very apparent anytime we are against the pillar men. Joseph and Kars parallel each other in this way, both of them seemingly don't have any honor, but Joseph uses this to do good and be overall selfless, whereas Kars, while he mourns his teammates, the goal to him is ALL centered around him.
True, that was most apparent after Wamuu’s defeat, and the final battle againt Kars

Part 4's Jojo is definitely my favorite, he feels more human than all the others that precede him imo, mostly due to the setting and time period.
I have read parts 1-4 so far and I agree, I liked part 4 by far the best, I liked 1-3 decently but overall 4 was the first one that felt like it lived up to the reputation the series has. Can't want to read part 5 once the hardcovers finish coming out

To me, part 8 is my favourite. He’s got a good mix of seriousness and goofiness that reminded me a bit of part 4 (there’s more that makes him like part 4’s JoJo but that’s going into spoiler territory.
But out of the volumes officially out in English now part 4 is my favourite. He’s like Joseph but he’s around for longer and can’t predict the future

If you want cowboys read the rest of the manga on mangadex. Read part 6 (which has the best ending in almost any manga in my opinion) and then read part 7 which is considered the best part and it has cowboys

I think another reason why people like part 2 more than part 1 is the characters as a whole but I feel like if u look at part 1 or 2 u can kinda see it was for a time and era araki want to write there not to many grounded Victorian era animes I feel like he did it good enough and part 2 was kinda the start of the craziness in manga since dragon ball z was starting

Honestly Jojo gets better as it goes on. The third part is very different from the first two and there will be things you dislike about that (like the length,) but future parts manage to improve on those things and take the series to new heights.

It makes sense that you like the characters in Part 2 a lot more than Part 1. One of the things I really appreciate about the series is the fact that with each part, each JoJo becomes a more layered character than their predecessor while still carrying on some aspect of their personality or values.

Diavolo wasn't entertaining and didn't have anything that made him special except being the gayest character ever existed
He wasn't a menace like Dio or Kira or Pucci or even Kars.
The moment Dio/Kira/Kars/Pucci Appear on the screen you knew that something fucked up is going to happen
All of them have a really cool Charm that makes you want them to appear the whole episode
Dio's Ego and Charisma can't be beaten
Kira was Patrick Bateman more than Patrick and before American psycho was even written
Pucci focusing on his target and goals and the hatred he has against Jotaro
As I said the only thing that makes Diavolo special is that he is still dying to this day right now
part 3 is where it starts getting better imo, also not sure about the manga but in the anime the pacing wasnt good
EDIT: I changed my mind, its good from the start. but part 4 is where it starts getting REALLY good

yo i got into this channle a few days ago and binge watched the channles videos and i was like "man i love how much this guy uploads how recent was this agian?" i checked. 1 fricking year!😱 i also just finished watching a video about youtubers who dissapeared and turned out to be dead. that freaked me out. i have a suspicion that the sus bar had something to do with ryans death. i actually new that jojos existed before i watched this becuase i played jump force with my cousin and chose jotaro as one of my characters and my cousin said "that anime sucked" and even though our tastes are similar i did not believe him. well, when i saw this, i started to watch the anime. my cousin was right the anime was so boring dumb and bad i fell asleep even though i had slept through the entire day and it was past dinner.
