Sharp and practical again. Most valuable.... a great feature of your vids is that they reflect stuff you are actually doing in your day job - so it comes "already road tested". Many thanks and best for the New Year....

Hi Cato. I’ve been using Pro Tools for years (and still can’t remember all of the short cuts!). Thanks for these great reminders 😎👍 AWESOME 👏

To get those function keys back just go to Apple -> System Prefs -> Keyboard -> then check off "Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys". Maybe you already did this, and know this, but if so maybe it will help someone else.

I need a DAW that actually WORKS.... now i end up in issues fix or chasing Support cases. Is Protools in that respect the ultimate DAW? Just need traditional recording with inserts, sends, nice filters and efffects built in and Group channels etc. Nothing weird or EDM software....

I can't really tell you which DAW you'd prefer. There's a lot of depth to Pro Tools, and it should be more than sufficient for what you're doing. However, because there's so much depth to it, some beginners become frustrated, and might prefer a simpler DAW. It might be a good choice if you want to avoid the extras that EDM people often like, and stick to a more "acoustic" workflow. I'd suggest trying free trials and seeing what you like. Best of luck!
