This is the only place online where I could find a clear solution to losing a remote. You’re way better than the manual. Took me 2+ hours of googling/you tubing before I stumbled on this. Well done + THANK YOU!

    Hello,
I ordered two new remotes from Garage Door Remotes Model: GDR-34 to use with a Liftlogix opener
    Synergy 260 by
Marantec. I do not have any working remotes so the 3 wire bridge connector that came with the remotes is of no use. I do not have the user manual either. Your videos are great, but I have yet to find one for the Liftlogix opener
    Synergy 260 by
    Marantec. Please advise.
    Thank you.
    Vince

The GDR-34 remotes are knock off remotes and are not actual Marantec remotes so I don't know how well they'll work. We have had a number of people contact us claiming they had difficulty with programming them.
You first need to program one remote into the operator. Afterward, you'd use the 3-prong programming connector to transfer the code from the programmed remote to other remotes.
As far as a manual for the Synergy 260 you can find one here that is downloadable: www.marantecamerica.com/product-support
After you program one remote watch this video on transferring the code: th-cam.com/video/EdHhgdCkNDE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=x5ezsPVakcAG7PFh

      Thank you for the reply.
I finally worked around to contacting Marantec directly. A technical support representative was kind enough to give me detailed instructions that I entered into my smartphone notepad.
Here are the instructions for setting up 2 new remotes.
      Programming Initial New Remote:
On operator press and hold P button for 5 seconds, LCD display on operator will count down time. Let go of P button.
Push P button twice in succession and release.
      LCD should show WiFi symbol.
Press and hold one of the remote buttons 4-5 seconds until LCD display blinks. Let go of remote button.
Press P button one last time to exit the programming.
LCD display should show the word ON.
      Test door opening.
      Programming Second Remote:
Insert prongs. Flex remotes slightly to make good prong contact.
Press and hold button of programmed remote, then press button of remote being programmed until LED light on remote is steady. Release buttons on both remotes.
      Test both remotes.
The process worked on these after market remotes and they both work well.

My Marantec M4700 garage opened randomly this morning. I have concern someone is driving around with generic remotes looking to see if any work. Given this, what would you recommend I do? Is there any way to completely change the code/frequency my current remotes are using?

    • @Garagedoorzone
      @Garagedoorzone  ปีที่แล้ว

That would be uncommon but it could happen. First, I'd recommend that you check & make sure none of the remote buttons are sticking which would cause the remote to send a second signal. Also check the operator and make sure there are no loose wires. If all of that looks okay then you could change the code on your remote(s). After you change the code on the remote you'll need to reprogram it back into the operator (along with the keypad if you have one).
We have a video on how to program the remote into the M4700 model operator here: th-cam.com/video/AZrLdAzzmwU/w-d-xo.html
Monitor it for a week or so and see if it happens again. If it does then most likely it's a loose wire or faulty remote or wall station and not someone trying to steal the code. Devices that do that usually need to be in the vicinity of your garage and capture the code from your remote the exact time you press the remote button.

If you're asking about the white high gloss 4-button Marantec remote then it would be the same. If you want to change the code on any Marantec remote then you'll follow the steps in the video. - Brian

@@Garagedoorzone I have the high gloss white 4 button. So as long as the bottom button is not programmed I can follow the video? My truck got broken into and they took my opener so I need to make it where they can’t use it.

You can either change the code on the remote button that was programmed to the opener using a 3-prong connector or if you have a button that was never programmed to the opener (like the bottom button on your remote) then you could program that button into the opener. The opener will overwrite the old code (from the stolen remote) with the new code from the bottom button & the old remote will no longer work.

I don't like Marantec garage door openers, The way the set up the remote programming is a joke. I have a few of them istalled on my rentals and everyone of them is a pain to program new remotes to it. Now I just replaced the opener. Will never buy another Marantec opener..
