    If the learn button is on the control panel vs. the actual opener, you will need to follow/incorporate those instructions. I have a Liftmaster 8500 series and the learn button is on the controller. Your instruction was the best I have seen to get me to the rolling code portion.

    I GOT IT TO WORK by going to another You Tube Channel! I first had to wipe clean any other code even tho my vehicle is new and it was never paired with anything! To wipe clean your vehicle press and hold both the 1 and 3 button... you will see a red light and keep holding until you see it blink and then it will turn green... this means it's cleared of any other codes. Then follow the steps to pair it.

    • @EntrySystemsCA
      @EntrySystemsCA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am glad you were able to make it work, pressing 1 and 3 does erase the memory for all three buttons, but many times people only want to program one. So the process I recommended can save time for most people, but if all else fails definitely do this.

    Thank you 🙏🏻

    • @EntrySystemsCA

      Gates are a completely different system and involve high voltage, so be very careful. But you need a working remote and there will be a learn button or dipswitches inside the receiver and you program them the same way.

    • @EntrySystemsCA
      @EntrySystemsCA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Garage door openers have a limited number of openings that can be programmed to. It should not kick out your husband's truck unless you have used up all of them. If it were to, just add it again.

    • @EntrySystemsCA

      It is always best to use the remote that actually activates the garage door.

  • @standtall7646

    I've gone through this with a 2000 BMW E46 6 times, step by step and still cannot get it to work. It has worked for several years, until today, decided to not work. New batteries in remote during programming. Liftmaster 8500. Any ideas. We had a short power flicker, today but, have had power outages many times. Would the flicker cause any issues. Also, I have a Homelink "Transmitter". Is there a different procedure with this setup? I tried by instruction sheet but, still not working. Thanks.

    • @EntrySystemsCA
      @EntrySystemsCA  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it was working and now is not working all of a sudden, I would think that it is a problem with the Homelink repeater specifically. Make sure that the repeater is plugged in with the orange light flashing near the antennae. Once you have confirmed that it is working, use the Homelink remote to program the car and then press the learn button on the motor and reconnect the car to the motor. If the Homelink repeater is not working, plugging in a new repeater will make the car work again immediately, so you may not need to reprogram the car.

  • @michaelkidd7821

    I go to the learn button and then back to the car and my opener blinks like it connected but my car opener still doesn't work on it even though everything seemed to program fine. Thoughts?

    • @EntrySystemsCA
      @EntrySystemsCA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Michael, there may be interference. Make sure you have no LED lightbulbs. I would try reprogramming the car to the remote and then to the opener again and see if that resolves the issue.

    Is there a way to program the car homelink button to lift master without the remote on a 2006 vehicle. I tried the learn button but it wiped out the code on the keypad or maybe I'm not doing it right. Please help.

    • @EntrySystemsCA

      No, you need a remote. You will have to push the learn button to start the process again.

    Hi there,
    Looks super easy, but wonder if you can help me? I have a 2006 Porsche Cayman with homelink, and i've never been able to get it to mate with my garage door opener? Is there something odd about this car that does not like a Homelink. The garage door opener i have is the Liftmaster 8500

    • @EntrySystemsCA
      @EntrySystemsCA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi- with Porsches you may find that you need to hold the remote in a different location, perhaps near the dash or front bumper. Consult your owner's manual for the exact location. You also may need a Homelink repeater since your car is older than 2012.

    How do we program the garage light to turn off? Please

    • @EntrySystemsCA
      @EntrySystemsCA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Most garage door openers do not have the ability to change the light duration. Some garage door openers have a motion detector that can be turned off and some do have the ability to shorten the time they are on, but most stay on for about 4 1/2 minutes.
