The thing about Nen is that you awaken it, but that already implies that you already have it, it's just that you have to learn how to open up your nen pores to be able to channel it properly, and talent and natural affinity with nen determines how easy that is for you. This is when the arc really starts. I love Pitou and her entire personality, she is easily my fav character in this anime! BUT, one scene that really is memorable to me and that I think makes this entire arc so much better, is that whole monologue about the lion ant. As an animal, he thought he was the king of the jungle and at the peak of the food chain. But after dying and being reborn with human-like intelligence, he realizes how foolish he was, and that now he can ignore his animal pride and retreat from a fight that he knows he can`t win, and basically learn from those situations to become stronger. I honestly love that part and its genuinely well written, really showing how powerful the chimera can be, not just with brute strength but with their intelligence too. It`s bits like that that makes this arc so amazing to me.
i think the lion ant showed that the ants are capable of becoming their own individuals and embracing their humanity to become more than they were while rammot is the opposite hi humanity is the part of him that was drunk with power and wanted to become the king but when he was humbled by pitou he realized his humanity and individuality arent strong enough to become the king so reverted to his ant nature of being in pure bliss to serve the colony and the king as only a part of a larger organism that being the ant hive more than his own desires like the lion
One thing Iwould argue is that Rammot is embracing his humanity as well. Humanity gives people the capability to empathise on a deeper level AND be totally apathetic on a deeper level as well. Humanity isn't "good", it neutral. A serial killer and other despicable people are something you only see in human beings. Their humanity made them like that. not really pitou was just born literally has no experience but is already very powerful thats called talent same with every other ant the show has made a point to show the immense talent and potential of both gon and killua but SPOILERS in this arc we get a clear allegory between gon and the king the humanity and the beast wrestling within both of them one or the other slowly winning based upon the characters experiences meruem becomes more human while gon becomes more beast like and with nen experience measn nothing uvo the battle hardened master enhancer was beaten by kurapika a much less experienced fighter thanks to nen conditions gon achieves equal footing to the king through sacrifice not experience so in summary your wrong
Spoilers... Here's some parallels: Meruem, Rammot, Leol. All three wanted to be king or were born in the position of the king. All three had their moments where they thought they were the most powerful. All three got humbled by another person in different ways. Rammot by Pitou. Leol by Kite and Meruem by Komugi. All three reacted to these humbling differently. Rammot immediately gave up his individuality and sided with his ant nature. Leol didn't give up on his individuality and sided with his lion nature, still living in the delusion that he has a chance to get back his kingdom. And finally, Meruem who realized that strength can manifest in different ways and what truly mattered in life, eventually embracing his humanity. Here's the analogy: Rammot: Pitou: Ant :: Leol: Kite: Lion :: Meruem: Komugi: Humanity. In fact Leol and Meruem has many parallels, and both show two sides of a ruler. One who lives in denial and other comes to acceptance. Leol ability is just like Meruem's- taking away the ability of others. Except unlike Meruem who gifted this from birth, he made that ability. Bro was trying too hard. Meruem was ordained to be the king by fate, while Leol couldn't accept his fate. Eventually both of them died by poison except Leol died in despair inside a temple used for hiding from attacks, while Meruem was reincarnated into a new being after dying in a bomb testing site and eventually succumbed to poison with his loved one, satisfied and happy.

So I'm gonna watch from the start. I'm in for a treat and so are you with this show haha! I got distracted watching your aot reactions tho lmao that story is also fkng amazing
Who's exited for Ep 85?
YESS I LOVE PITOU
ME TOO!!!
i hate her lol why do you like her? not to be a dick im actually curious ill tell you why i dont like her but its pretty obvious i think.
In HxH it's made completely clear that experience and training trump talent, both could be the best hunters in the future, literally, but it's still very early. It's years and years of endless training
Lmao experience and training of the talented sure
It's been made completely clear that talent trumps all in hunter hunter. You watched the wrong show
@@arul7467Gon and Killua don’t try more than others adults that we see in the chimera ant
HxH is extremely essentialist , Gon and Killua are both 2 genius.
@@vince7520 literally what i said. Talent Is the most important thing
not really pitou was just born literally has no experience but is already very powerful thats called talent same with every other ant the show has made a point to show the immense talent and potential of both gon and killua but SPOILERS
in this arc we get a clear allegory between gon and the king the humanity and the beast wrestling within both of them one or the other slowly winning based upon the characters experiences meruem becomes more human while gon becomes more beast like and with nen experience measn nothing uvo the battle hardened master enhancer was beaten by kurapika a much less experienced fighter thanks to nen conditions gon achieves equal footing to the king through sacrifice not experience so in summary your wrong
And so it begins...
Welcome to the real HxH :D
