I feel compelled to say the following.
You said it yourself, you have blacked out loads of times and that doesn't mean you were drugged, right? Yeah same here, I've overdrank too and had my share of blackouts and hangovers the next day (I've changed my drinking habits as that shit scares the f out of me) I take responsibly for my drinking.
I have also been spiked once..on my very 1st drink that night, which I watched my friend pour...(so we can't even try to suggest it was a drunken blackout) all I remember is talking to a guy who seems nice. . We couldn't have been standing and chatting away any longer than 5 minutes, during the conversation I take another few sips out my drink. That was all it took. I went from standing upright having a conversation.. To being a bag of bones on the floor. Not sure what I was given nor am I sure why the reaction was that quick..but it feels nothing like being drunk or having a drunken blackout. The next few weeks after I felt like shit. It messed with my apitite, sleeping, stomach was in knots and the headache was immense. Thankfully, I had my girls with me who, noticed straight away and got my ass home to safety, as that's not like me at all. They filed me in the next day on what went down as I still have no memory dropping to the floor and needed carried out. No memory of being put to bed, nothing.
To anyone reading this, thinking that holding your drink at waist level whilst talking to someone is safe... It is not. Not without having the top of the glass covered
