It took many playbacks but I think I am beginning to understand what she’s really trying to say there and I’m not joking one bit when I say this either. Whenever she says, “I deserve more/better…,” she’s not saying what most people thought she was saying in that, “I deserve a much better lover than you, Tyrese! We’re done!” No, that’s not what she’s saying. What she's really saying is this, “I deserve more/better from you than this!” You see, she doesn’t want the relationship to end although he does. She’s going to continue to chase him and follow him and keep giving him chance after chance after chance to become the man she wants him to be. With all of his jokes and everything, he’s pretty much saying to her, “Look, I know what you’re saying. I know what you want. The point is I am simply not going to give it to you. Do you understand? I have had it with you. It’s over. We’re done. I do not love you anymore. We are through. Turn around and go find somebody else to love and leave me the hell alone. Got it?”

I dont get the psychology behind this, like how can they love someone so much to the point where they will let them do anything and walk all over them like a doormat when they clearly dont care about them except for sex?
@@umamifan I don't understand it either, but this was over a year ago. Hopefully, things have changed for the better by now. On second thought, maybe I do get it. Maybe the woman/man has a very low opinion of themselves/very low self-esteem and has no one else to depend on other than that person. Their "comfort zone/security blanket," if you will. They're probably too afraid to leave them, because they realize that with them out of the way, they're completely on their own and the pressure that comes with that is too frightfully overbearing for them to handle all by themselves. Those people are, and I really hope this is the right word, complaisant as far as their relationships go. Hopefully, they'll wake up and realize that there's more to life than just that. Until then, I don't know.
