Can I just say THANK YOU for doing this reaction. Bon Iver is my absolute favourite group of all time. I have the symbols and numbers that correlate which each track tattoo'd onto my arm. I love this band to death.
It's so nice to see someone (the person on the far right) talking about such intricate details about the history of Bon Iver and Justin Vernon, because I've actually not met anyone ever in my life that has that kind of knowledge, other than myself lol.
I met Justin back in 2017 when they played Edinburgh, Scotland. Totally by accident. They say to never meet your heroes, but this man is genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met. I suggested to him that they play 'Wash.' which is my favourite BI track, and they actually put it in the set, despite it not being played live that entire tour. Honestly, one of the best moments of my life.
I'm a musician myself, and Bon Iver have guided my journey the entire way and influenced greatly how I play. I cannot thank them enough for what they've been doing.
And I cannot thank you guys enough for sharing this album with one another. It truly is an experimental album that dives into territories that are unknown, not only to Bon Iver fans, but music listeners as a whole. Thank you!x
EDIT: Fun, stupid little fact...in 33 "GOD", the sample before the first chorus is from Paolo Nutini's song 'Iron Sky', who is from Scotland, such as myself. His parents own a cafe in a town nearby me and they made me a reeeealllyy good roll and sausage one day lol.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. It means a lot to hear about another person who is just as passionate as I am about the band, I’ve also never met someone who feels that way! Sooo cool to hear about your experience and your dope tattoos. Thanks for watching 💙 - Nadia (gal on the far right!)

I feel like the young woman should do a separate video where she analyzes each track, especially for newcomers to Bon Iver's sound and diverse styles! She has such insightful takes on the tracks!

666 is such a good song. It almost feels like he’s painting a picture with sound. Idk how else to describe it.

It’s called The Messina, named after sound engineer Chris Messina. I’m not a producer and I don’t know much about sound engineering, but this was basically a new creation that combined a synthesizer and a vocoder. I know I’m somewhat right with this explanation but anyone with any experience can correct any part of this that isn’t correct.

I love the guy on my left and his last comment about the end. The guy in the middle, no clue what he’s talking about 😂 But really, I don’t get it.
