brat is really not for everyone, i don't like every tracks on the album in first listen but as i listen to it more i appreciate it more than ever. charli's music specifically on this album are very in-your-face, sometimes unserious, for fun, campy and for the clubs sooo don't expect for some lyrics heavy or too poetic, strip down/acoustic production. music should have balance and charli's music are mostly the fun side of the music industry. now, i'm curious what does Nadia listen to?

Also agree with Edwin, Billie’s projects are so good at such a high level. Cooper and Nadia, I’d recommend listening to the album without being on camera or having to interact so that you can actually concentrate and focus on the intricacies of the quality of the album. I think the quality kind of gets lost if one doesn’t pay attention. So that’s my suggestion

They made it in his bedroom not in a basement, I don’t think they had a basement. The parents slept in a foldout sofa in the main living space so that Billie and Finneas could each have a room. And the rooms were tiny, which was great for the acoustics. But yeah Finneas won a Grammy for BEST ENGINEERED ALBUM OF THE YEAR for an album they created in a bedroom with relatively minimal equipment, just what he could afford from doing a couple of small minor role acting jobs. Just, can you imagine??

I’m with you cooper, I also don’t like 8. It’s one of the only songs of Billie’s from her entire discography that I don’t have in my playlist. I’m also not a big fan of “bored” although I can see what’s interesting about it, it literally bores me which I know is the point but anyway, and goodbye is very cool as part of the album’s concept but I don’t really like how it sounds. Sometimes six feet under can feel a bit slow for my taste. Uh, that’s it already. Literally every other song is very good or insanely good. The other ukulele song she has on the EP is the song I like least on that project but it’s still good! I just don’t really like her babyish voice. Even though I know it’s on purpose and making a conceptual point. Oh and also, there are a couple of songs where I like a specific live version better than the album version, specifically “bitches broken hearts (Vevo)” and “wildflower (Amazon songline)”. Anyway long rant over.

It continuously astounds me how underrated Billie is despite the fact that she is not only the most streamed artist on Spotify but also deeply and highly critically acclaimed. And yet. Still so underrated, with so many people thinking she’s some pop teen. Nope. She’s a once in a generation alternative, innovative and creative musician (and director!)

Tyler SPECIFICALLY told us to not have any expectations when listening to this album. You guys kinda did yourselves a disservice by coming in with expectations. This is Tyler’s most personal and vulnerable album to date. The overall theme of the album relates to the songs - being at war with oneself. That’s why he has songs like “I Killed You” & “Like Him.” Some of these songs are specific to an experience that only some will get and that’s okay.

The song I killed you is about how black people have to constantly change their hair and conform and it cut it for jobs or anything out in public. But it's also coming to grips with just wearing your hair naturally like a crown.

This is interesting. I came in without actually listening to any of the snippets or releases before, so I had no expectations. I walked away liking everything on the album. And while I really liked the intro songs, I gravitated towards everything after (the middle that you didn't like much). Which, when you're paying attention, those are the parts that are actually the most cohesive. Lyrically and sonically, they're all very well done and go well with the overall theme of the album. I listened to "Like Him" probably 3 times with tears in my eyes before I could move on. I think paying more attention to lyrics could have helped. But, expecting Coke when you were about to get waterboarded with Sprite might have inevitably vibe poisoned your first listen haha

I think this album actually have some of my favorite Tyler songs but also my least favorite. I really don’t know how to feel about this album. At first I was so disappointed and was hating on it but I’m returning to a few of the songs. Might keep growing on me but I don’t think it will ever be top 3 Tyler for me

The turn around on this video goes crazy!! I love how tyler made a Mario Kart type beat into one of the best tracks

Personally think this is my favorite Tyler, the Creator album. It's insanely well paced and not bloated like "Call Me If You Get Lost". I like a lot of his albums but this is the only one that I see myself returning to a lot. There's only one song I'm not crazy about (Judge Judy).

Silver Lake is a trendy area in calif. Peter at the Pearly gates. Billie says Badguy was a jokey song. Billie and Finneas have 19 Grammys and 4 Oscars. Some of their biggest hits aren't on the albums.
