Very thorough directions and information on how to actually do punch needle embroidery, what it looks like and various applications. Better than some other videos and booklets. Thanks! (and with a bit of humor thrown in!)
Finally a valid video to learn the punch needdle ..... It is a technique that I discover. I still have a little trouble but thanks to your video I just understand my flaws ... Thank you Thank you very much. Your models I like moderately but it is because I am in France and that with us it is our history !!! I really like the country models and especially the sheep ...... Another thousand thanks Good day Fran
I’m learning a lot from watching your tutorials. I just got one of your kits and am waiting for the floss and the punch needle you recommended. Am excited!🐼🕊
Julie, this is wonderful. i feel another addiction coming on. Hope the shop is comming together. Love what you've done so far and look forward to each post.
Thanks Iley, you have never tried punch needle? Oh you must!! The shop is all done, our grand opening will be on the 20th. I will have lots of pictures to share.. Thanks so much!
Thank you, Julie. Your lesson was very helpful, as I've started to punch needle and I need all the help I can get. Your shop looks lovely, I wish I were a bit closer! (I'm in the Albany area, so you're about three hours drive.) Looking forward to new videos. Cheers, Joan
LOL I love the notes about your mom's camera skills! My husband is like that. We saw an atomic submarine when we were on our honeymoon, and I asked him to take a picture of me with the sub behind me. I have a nice picture of ... water. The sub was so huge that I just don't get it. When our house was being built he wanted to take a picture of the foundation. He got a really nice picture of ... the sky. You've just got to laugh, right? So officially, I love your mom.
You guys are funny! Thanks for sharing this video it was very instructional. Keep up the good work. As soon as I finish some of my patterns I will have to buy some of your designs. I love the antique horse one you showed in part 1. Where do you buy walnut cystals from?
I just got a punch needle kit that has fabric with it. This is my first ever encounter with the craft of punch needle, so maybe this is a really really basic question, but...I see little tiny holes in the fabric already, like plastic canvas, but on a much much smaller scale. So those are the holes I punch through/the distance I need to go for each stitch?
Thanks for your video :) really helpful and practical. I have a question though, wouldn't this mean that you could just pull the end of the thread and it would all come undone? Therefore you couldn't really use a punch needle to do embroidery work on a garment because it wont last. Am I right?
what brand of needles would you recommend? i want to try the craft but I don't want to waste money buying a needle I can't enjoy. I want to buy a set of sizes right off the bat. Does a larger needle would it be able to use a light weight yarn or can you only use embroidery thread for this craft?
Great video, I am new to punch needle and found the possibilities are endless. However, I start punching and do 5 or so punches and then needle no longer punches, it doesn't catch on the other side and I'm left with a long piece of floss, whaa
Sue Burgess that's weird! Did you ever figure out a way to fix this? I bought a needle online and waiting for it to arrive, so I'd love to know what to do if this happens :)
Thanks for video. Helpful. What size needle is that? I'm a beginner and I've tried with the medium needle, 6 strands DMC and I notice it sometimes frays.
No it will not come undone......unless some one really tugs it, but that would be the same with a commercially made rug. When you are done, you lightly steam it which helps lock the loops in even more.
Hello, thanks for watching. Weavers cloth is what you use for punching. Anything else can tear from the punching, but you can give other things a try. Weavers cloth can be found at most fabric stores on the bolt, by the yard.....
I have been wanting to give punch needle a try and this was very helpful to me. Thank you!
I love that your Mom is doing your P.R. She is a riot!!! Hysterical!
Totally agree about thread needle once with 6 strands and now i love punching. I was getting worn out rethreading constantly with 3 strands.

So happy someone did punch needle in English all the beautiful patterns and instructions are in a foreign language.

I tried punching but when I got to the end of the line, all the stitches had come out except for the first one punch. I'm I doing it wrong?

LOL, now that was interesting! I am grey, so you may need to go slower. Seriously, enjoyed your video and it was very informative.
New puncher...having a problem with holding the needle my middle finger is getting soar from the pressure ...any ideas
Remember to loosen your grip. I still have to remind myself
So does your work come undone??? Maybe a knot in the end or beginning of the work??? No one has answered my question 🥺
Please and thank you

Thanks very much Laura!
When you were punching the background to the crow, did you just punch in all different directions or do you do a certain pattern.

Hi this is my first time trying to punch needle and im using a cotton fabric, but the thread come out of the fabric. Can someone help me out?
+candy sweet You should be using weavers cloth, it has a tighter weave and will hold your loops in. Thank you!
Thank you so much.
