I am loving your punch needle videos Dawn! I started a Santa years ago & never got comfortable with it. I think it might be done except for the background. I know where it is so I will be getting it out because you have great tips & with Peter¡s video skills I think I can finish it & make another pattern! You have the best videos I have seen. I looked up where you are today. You are 3 hrs & 7 mins from me. My 2nd GD goes to IU & I still have not gone to see her. Too much driving for me now. I need to figure it out because I would love to come see you all! Keep up the good work!
Great tips! I've punched that pattern as a shop sample for the Shepherd's Needle. I use a gripper frame now, but when I used Morgan hoops, I kept a set of pliers with me, to tighten the hoop. It worked great, and it was something that I already had. As far as "parking" the needle, inside the tool, I do that anytime I'm laying the tool down, to stop punching. I had heard that it's better to release the tension on the spring, by putting the needle in that last notch, that you're calling "parking". It also saves us from getting poked if we reach into a bag with our needle in it. :)
I thought I bought the correct fabric but when I try to punch with embroidery floss and it isn’t working:(. I punch with yarn as well so I feel like I know what I’m doing. But I guess a poor craftsmen blames his tools😅❤
Very informative. I learned a lot to make my work better. You and Peter are really enjoying to watch. Thank you!!
Great to hear!

What size gripper frame do you use?
@@alwaysinstitches5388 I have 4 different frames, of different sizes. Three of them I made, and one I purchased that's a spinner frame.
@@PriviesandPrimsNeedlecrafts That's pretty cool that you made them!
How do I thread a very fine punch needle the threader won’t go through the needle
Please call the shop on Friday and ask for Dawn. She may be able to answer your questions.
