- Do you treat yourself to a day at the spa or pedicures regularly? I do not but with this simple and affordable diy routine I think I'll be working it into my schedule. in this video I show how I make up a sand and salt foot scrub for my poor feet. I look forward to gifting it to some special people for Christmas ♥

A day at the cabin treating yourself to a DIY SPA DAY sounds amazing! We do need to stop and take a break to treat ourselves. The reality of it is we don't have a replacement if it is broken beyond repair. Self Care is so important. Thanks for sharing.

That 1870's Homestead. I do not have time for myself, because I work seven days a week. My job has to do with the elderly. I am a Home Health Aide, taking care of my patience takes a lot out of me. I used to do home health. But my clients either passed away 4 have and 3 went to nursing homes work is slow .

Sounds like a wonderful treatment. I just bought a 50 pound bag of play sand to use for my garden tools. I do not need that much but that was the smallest bag I could find. Now I know what I can do with the extra.

play sand for your garden tools? what do you do with it?
@@juliewilliamsnewzealand818 A mixture of sand and mineral oil - the sand is abrasive, so putting tools in helps keep your tools sharp. The oil in the sand keeps your tools well-lubricated, protecting them from rust and dirt build-up.

That was a great idea, to treat yourself like that! I’m the same way, I generally don’t pamper my body enough. I think I had had two pedicures in my life before this fall. I was heading to San Diego to see my son and decided to get one before I went. I enjoyed it so much, the actual pedicure, but also looking down and seeing my painted toenails, that I got one again later. Funny, I know, but when you’re not used to it, it feels special and a treat. I love that you took time for yourself and shared it with us. That scrub sounds great, especially up at the cabin, but I’m thinking you would have to use it outside with the sand in it. I don’t think you’d want to pour it down the drain. Maybe that’s why they usually use coarse sugar or salt?
I use a coconut sugar bought foot scrub but first I do that vinegar/water/listerine foot soak then do the scrub Wow the dead skin rolls off and my feet feel so soft and refreshed!
I want to book a weekend at Nemacolin Woods but this seems much less expensive. Don't tell Kenny about this video. 🤣

I wish I had a pan or bowl that big to stick my feet in! Living tiny has its drawbacks. Stick your sand in the oven to kill off any unwanted bacteria for your gifting. When we go to the beach I exfoliate my feet by walking barefoot
My best friend turned chosen sister had a major stroke 4 years ago and has lost some use of her left side. I want to do a spa day for her so bad!!! She has so much pain and ttys so hard as she has a 7yo boy to raise too. Thank you for this video!!!

No I probably used a Tablespoon of salt, I'll play around with the recipe and when I make it for Christmas gifts I'll make sure to share an actual recipe
Holy Cow! I looked on amazon for that book. The hardback like you has a price tag of $985. I just wanted to read it not buy the state of Maine. Lol. I think I read a condensed version of the first book in a Readers Digest book once. I’ve looked for the long version of it all these years. Be blessed.

Do you like more adult based books? Laurel k Hamilton's Meredith Gentry series as well as Anita Blake series have a great storyline however they have quite a few adult parts LOL.
