Unbiased honest review of Apache RTR 160 BS6 4V here ⤵️ I bought the this bike recently ➡️This bike has great power and ➡️looks are subjective but let me tell you, in pics and videos bike head light might look weird but when you see it in person you'll fall in love with it. ➡️I'm 5'11 and it looks perfect when I ride and handling is also great. Fit and finish, seat comfort is also nice. ➡️Braking is but at softer end and initial bite is less. Suspension is just fabulous, and perfect for highway, city and village/town roads. ➡️ Mileage is enough for daily commute, I get 45+. Heating issues aren't much, vibrations are almost nill. ⚠️Things missing⚠️ : ➡️longer and more useful mudguard ( the mud just sticks everywhere on the engine) ➡️Bolts and screws in few places could have been fitted tightly. Few get lose too early (if you ride too much on Village road!!!! Also this is not a deal breaker issue). ➡️Hazard light switch (useful nowadays) ➡️Gear position indicator (although is not useful actually, once you wear a full helmet the bikes instrument cluster is not visible in most of the bikes and while riding we only focus on speed and shift the gears...it'll take few days to adjust and later on you won't feel the need of the gear position indicator. ◀️And then it comes to which colour bike to buy.▶️ ➡️I prefer black colour. I have bought the same. It'll match the bike brilliantly. Though the mud and dust will be more clearly visible on the black coloured bike, trust me black looks absolutely stunning. Finally, If you are buying the bike, advance congratulations to you! And ride safe, wear a helmet and don't get crazy on speed. Safety first! Always. Rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ Also remember no bike is perfect ! We need to adjust.
All the auto journalists are only discussing about the power and performance stats, when all the hullabaloo on BS6 is about emission norms. As someone who would need to pay 8-11k more or even 40k more on the Apache 310RR, loss of 0.5 PS of power is not a big deal. But I would want to understand how much more am I saving the environment when paying such huge amounts. Can someone from the auto-journalism community please take the initiative and give us a comparison of emissions in BS6 vehicles vs their BS4 counterparts? Apache 200/160 BS4 v BS6, Activa 125 BS4 v BS6, etc???

Since this was a video on the changes from BS4 to the new generation, why isn't there a mention of the kicker being done away with. Isn't that a difference enough or jus a miss which would probably get covered in the full review?
TVS should have given the gear indicator and Xconnect on 160 4V as well. Given the price point a few more extra rupees would not hurt people for those awesome features.

My Ducati is able to do this and I find that as nice as it seems, finding traffic that matches the speed (which is set in each gear by the ECU and not you) is not easy. So it isn’t going to be as effective as the logic suggests. That’s why I’ve chosen to leave it out.
I am surprised that good bikes are still good despite BS6! It is as if manufacturers have managed to adapt new norms and make a good product despite them! Unbelievable!!! 😁 I am happy that moterbeam, zigwheels and PD have started part sharing like automotive industry to successfully bring overall content cost and effort down along with quality!!! Amazing!!! 😁
Not sure about the headlight tho.......but im glad that it dosen't disappoint in terms of providing sheer fun and thrill and lived up to the mark like before....
Ill go for the BS4 Carburetted Version...Cheaper to maintain due to Carb and good pickup and speed.Besides Carburetted versions are just awesome and a tad BHP less power.Which will not make a huge difference.

To b honest it is only good for the owner and not for oppsite liners. It hits so bad in your eyes that even if you wear tinted dark visor in helmet still you are affected. You cant see your own way. That results in buying you extra led to your bike aftermarket. This wont solve the problem but both will get know now and then.
So a new engine and higher price, looks like companies don't want consumers to buy their vehicles, while the income of people is still stagnant and loans are costlier. 👏🏻

And in this scenario of slowdown, the prices should have been decreased so as to pickup the demand in the market. The price increase apart from insurances and registration fee would add upto the cost making the vehicle buying more inaccessible to common man.
As this bike doesn't have kick start....so will it have any problems to start the bike when the battery is taken out? And what would be it's ultimate mileage?
The companies increasing the prices will be at the receiving end as the two wheeler and 4 wheeler consumer will start switching over to electric alternatives next year onwards. One can see the change coming in metro cities and soon tier2 and tier3 cities will follow. With increasing fuel prices everyday being the cherry on the cake EV's will prove economical in the long run .
Fenestrane Ladderane This Track has two long straights where the 160 gets to more or less it’s top speed. And then you have to brake hard. Shedding 40kmph for the turn and all of that speed for the u-turn at the other end. No one has to put their bike through that hard a cycle.
How do they compare on pillion comfort? I have tested RTR160 but RT200 is not available here for testing. If RTR 200 comfort is not too bad compared to RTR160, I want to prefer it over 160.

160 4v is a style icon if it gets chunky front forks at least 37mm+ instead of 33mm forks and TVS need to replace the age old design of alloy wheels with new design or like 200 alloy wheels style
I'am a big fan of TVS but I think TVS need to change about their motor cycle design.. They still used the old model design of 200.. it still same.. iam tired of this design.. i want a new design... I think they should learnt from YAMAHA... In these new bike.. Bluetooth connectivity are not necessary.. instead they should change exhaust .. Headlight are not good looking at all..

That's something we can find out during the full review. This was the first ride at TVS' test facility and we couldn't test them after sunset.

I booked BS4 R15 v3 right after i knew BS has hp1 less than before.
That's the case with the Apaches. We shall know for sure about the R15 once it's launched.
However, BS6 is better for the environment.

160 4v is a style icon if it gets chunky front forks at least 37mm+ instead of 33mm forks and TVS need to replace the age old design of alloy wheels with new design or like 200 alloy wheels style

I'am a big fan of TVS but I think TVS need to change about their motor cycle design.. They still used the old model design of 200.. it still same.. iam tired of this design.. i want a new design... I think they should learnt from YAMAHA... In these new bike.. Bluetooth connectivity are not necessary.. instead they should change exhaust .. Headlight are not good looking at all..
