One day I was on my way to work, the bike was running between 50 to 60 kmph, I saw a kid was picking up a pebble from the side of the road about 200 meters ahead of me, though I did not see his target I pictured what could possibly happen, the boy might hit a dog or cat and that animal would run across the road and possibly collide with my bike. I did not slow my bike down but being alerted I locked my elbows to prevent any sudden thrust that could disrupt my balance. And it happened exactly what I thought ... A dog running madly in its full pace hit my front wheel... thank god I was able to prevent that impact and did not lose my balance because I speculated the incident beforehand. Looks like TVS has sponsored this vid.. there must be at least few thing good in Yamaha, right ? There sales number are ~18k per month while TVS doesn't provide separate sales number for rtr160 and release overall sales number for all 7-8 Apaches combined and that is 38k.
@@AnalogBuddy Rather works well for a lesser price and gives some clean old school clean and neat design rather than these quirky modern design which to my liking is a bit of overdose for these small bikes with puny output.. The first gen fz16 with the metal pipe grabrail design is a gem that will be missed as years passby.. 10 years from now we'll have an uglier character less commuter which would look like a straight outta fancy dress competition..
@@siddarthsiddhu3406 very true .... Apache is a beast, no doubt about that, but you missed the point brother. New FZ is for people who need supreme comfort in riding and that seat is a superb one, complimented by that raise handle bar. So you can't say that it cannot be recommended, depends totally on customer.
I have bought fzs v3 and i am very much satisfied with it. The thing i like most in this bike is it's looks. It looks much bigger bike in terms of looks especially from the from and the engine reliability of yamaha is unmatched. I have used fazer v1 for 7 years and its engine was so smooth even after 46000kms. That feel i have never experienced in other brands like bajaj tvs and even in suzuki.

Build quality is bit poor plastic pannels are bit flimsy but you have to live with that in order to have good looks. On a crowded metropolitan city with long traffic jams, all a rider needs is comfort to commute long distances daily which the Fz is known for. On crowded Indian streets brakes are a big deal and Fz again excels in that segment. What's the use of a powerful engine in roads you can barely go above 60. Indian rider need comfort and a good braking system rather than a high powered machine with a bad braking system. Reason why sales of fz is faar greater than TVS.
You can't get the performance of an RTR in any bikes other than Apache 160 4v in this segment. FZ-S will start crying after 80 kmph speed. Yamaha being a racing company, it's a shame that they have provided such an underpowered machine in FZ-S. If you compare fz with 160 4v, fz is priced more for a 2 valve air-cooled engine, where as Apache comes with 4 valve oil-cooled engine. TVS, being an Indian company have provided best quality products in their bike. Yamaha charges for each n every accessory and will provide with very cheap products. Compare mudguard of Apache with FZ-S, you will get to know.

After test riding both, bought the the fz-v3 two months back. Didn't like the dual tone colors of apache and seating position. Also the Yamaha showroom guys were 1000% better than TVS. Story time: Went to a TVS showroom in bengaluru and they provided a test drive vehicle that did not start LOL. Then somehow they managed to do it after i waited 30 minutes. To put salt in the wound it just randomly turned off just after i went 100 meters. I asked for a better bike and i was told that is enough and i can buy if i want or go away(didnt tell me to go away straight up but behavior was like that). The fact that they can do this means they must be selling Apache RTRs like hot cakes. Extremely happy with my FZ V3. Lot of youtube videos show max top speed 115-118 kmph. After first service, today i did 123-124. Surely Apache must be better, because reviewers know what they are talking about. But not a single time i thought i should have bought apache rtr and m missing xyz. FYI, i road my colleague's rtr for around 20 kms, didn't feel any thing was better except one thing i.e. at very high revs brake pedals didnt vibrate like in my fz.
Bro let me say that speed shown on your fz won't be crrt as it's even powerless bike than rc125, and old rtr160, gixxer. I use to gor for touring one of my friend had brought fz v3 he never test ride any other and directly brought it what Yamaha sales man told to him was rtr160 4v is bad bike powerless etc.. Bro fz is good for those who never want speed. At its max rpm is 10k. And with racing cdi it can do 130 v2. For fi nothing is available. Rtr160 old model with racing cdi can do 153kmph..i doing know what new one can do.
This was a very thorough comparison and i congratulate Zigwheeles for making one. Good Work guys. Double Thumbs up. I still own a 2009 FZ16 and all that you have stated about its downgraded since my bikes, is 100% true. In fact, The FZ-S which was launched a year later to mine had Heel guards near the footpegs made out of some metal that quite instantly corroded. On my FZ16, they are made of Aluminium. When i saw this on my friend's bike i got to know that Yamaha was cutting corners. And its been downhill since those days. And my other friend who had got the 2010 160RTR regretted his decision because the engine was not that refined and the gear shifts was not as slick as FZ16. If todays RTR's gear shifts are better than FZ's then I should say that the 160 RTR has come a long way since then. The fact that it has a DOHC header is simply amazing. I was really looking forward to upgrade to a 250cc Yamaha but FZ25 is just a FZ16 with a 250cc engine. Not worth the upgrade. My eyes were lit-up when i saw the Suzuki Gixxer 250. Its literally everything i want in a 250cc bike. Minus a Slipper Clutch. Plz do review it asap.

Me and my friend went on a road trip with fzs v3 and rtr160. I can clearly see the diff in pickup, rtr is too good in this. But, for choosing the bike height of the rider matters. For the one's with large limbs Fzs is best for comfortable riding. Speed, acceleration, breaking and milege comes next.
I see many many users straight away but Fz but not Apache. I see many FZs on road but not Apache. So your reviews going to cost someone who believes you’re reviews were honest.
The build quality is really not up to the mark in Yamaha, my r15 v3's fairings near the backlight started to come off, while my brother's r15 v2 is still intact, even though the v2 has handled a lot of rough usage..

I don’t know why.. but I found FZS v3 better performing than Apache 160 4v. Not being biased here but ride comfort was also better than Apache. Honestly, guys if the ride quality is not comfortable then it’s not going to be a good ride, having said that I dint find apache ride that good for long rides, speed is not everything. So I am going for yamaha. Just an advise ride both the bikes and compare before you buy.
Riding Fz-S v3.0 from last One year, FZ-s never Compromises on riding Comfort and Braking is Awesome in the Segment.
Yamaha Engine and Brakes are always the Best.

The so called yamaha build quality have gone nowadays. This one, R15 v3, FZ 25 all have mediocre build quality.
Realli awaited comparison
Ya cost cutting is evident in yamaha nowadays..
Owning FZ25 from past 2.5 years .. no complaints at all on build quality.
I am from bangladesh...and your videos are very helpful for buying bike....and i love apache rtr 160 4v
Looks like TVS has sponsored this vid.. there must be at least few thing good in Yamaha, right ? There sales number are ~18k per month while TVS doesn't provide separate sales number for rtr160 and release overall sales number for all 7-8 Apaches combined and that is 38k.
True
Without a doubt, it's completely paid video. I can bet on it.
Fz v3 superb then Apache
Thanks for the review ..... These reviews help me regain my love for my 6 years old FZS V1 - the one true lord of the streets. Still.
That same bike if relaunched like the Honda unicorn 150 would sell like hot cakes
@@siddarthsiddhu3406 true .... ride quality of the Unicorn is smooth as butter .... But the looks are dull.
@@AnalogBuddy
Rather works well for a lesser price and gives some clean old school clean and neat design rather than these quirky modern design which to my liking is a bit of overdose for these small bikes with puny output..
I even feel the older FZ is a better handler and had some character which the newer versions lack..
The FZ is becoming uglier over each iteration..
The first gen fz16 with the metal pipe grabrail design is a gem that will be missed as years passby..
10 years from now we'll have an uglier character less commuter which would look like a straight outta fancy dress competition..
@@siddarthsiddhu3406 very true .... All the new bikes from all the manufactures are copying the same design characters that the old FZ had brought to India with naked looks, bulky fuel tank & a wide rear tire.
BTW Unicorn is not old school - it looks downright ugly. It doesn't carry any design benchmarks.
The problem with zig wheels and CarDekho is that they have lot of reviewer and because of that subscribers are not connecting with channel like we do with others.. Alway loves the reviews from this channel as they give no nonsense review.. But please stick to hue 1 2 reviewer..
The 1st gen of Fz was far far better and cool then this polio patient(v3).....they just made the bike fucked up....lot of muscles but the power is not even as expected...🤔🙄
True bro
Apache is a beast, no doubt about that, but you missed the point brother. New FZ is for people who need supreme comfort in riding and that seat is a superb one, complimented by that raise handle bar. So you can't say that it cannot be recommended, depends totally on customer.
But Yamaha is a beast!
I don't know how TVS managed to create such a perfect machine where no other manufacturer is able to defeat it.
What has happened to Yamaha India...i guess it is the great ease of doing business here maybe...😂
Bro I'm also booking this bike very soon😍😍 I hope ur experience with ur fz is awesome please share details of ur experience with ur fz
@@akulchadha2069 bro if you want top speed and raw power this bike is not for you. Its mid range is nice it will be a very good city bike. Comfortable highway crusing speed is 85-90 kmph above that it feels bit stressed. I have achieved 113 on highway without any problem. But engine refinement is top notch. Build quality is bit poor plastic pannels are bit flimsy but you have to live with that in order to have good looks. I live in mountains so top speed is bot my priority cause there are no such roads here. It will surely make you feel like you are riding a 200-250 cc bike in terms of looks.
@@tarun_M1710 thanks bro and my priority is not top speed I just need a bike for city commuting and some highway rides and a pocket friendly bike, I hope it can give milege of 45+ in city

So you are buying bike just to ride in traffic?😂
Apache any day, better looker more powerful💪😎
Rtr 160 4V is the king of 160cc.drove the suzuki 2019 lacks refinement of 4V
A proud owner of Tvs Apache RtR 160 for 13 years... I have no mind to change it to other bcoz of ride and handling also with good mileage of 55kmpl in city and around 60+kmpl on high way...
How is the service experience?
Are the mileage figures genuine?? How can a 4v engine with a heavier weight give a better fuel economy than a 2v engine carrying a lighter weight? Plzz explain how has tvs managed this!!
Bro I had got 75 kmpl in rtr160 4v as I checked it on highway at 60-70 kmph.. Even tvs didn't believed and they tried it with fuel tank off where it goes near 2 km.

After test riding both, bought the the fz-v3 two months back. Didn't like the dual tone colors of apache and seating position. Also the Yamaha showroom guys were 1000% better than TVS.
Story time:
Went to a TVS showroom in bengaluru and they provided a test drive vehicle that did not start LOL.
What meilage u getting?
Bro if in fz it shows 120 and do same 120 in rtr you can see rtr just overtaking. I can say 100% fz can't even dream of 120 kmph speed.
I wanted to swap Yamaha engine with tvs Pros Comforts Yamaha. Engine tvs

Bro pls describe the bike. I want to buy this month. An owners review will be very good help
Bhai kitna mileage hai bike ka
😂😂😂u dont own apache
Why does a slow ass bike need such huge tyre ?😂😂
Wider tyre doesn't make bike faster and mileage is depend on how much power you use on the bike you will get that amount mileage.

Do you recommend r15? I am planning to buy matte black version

Ok. I have owned rtr 180 and i am using classic 350. I haven't faced a single issue in those bikes. Do you think r15 is a good upgrade? I have heard a lot about new yamaha bike poor body quality which also worries. At the same time, i have also heard that tvs offers better material quality. But i am a fan of yamaha's engines. Apache better than yamaha???🤣🤣🤣where did you get that weed bro??
Am an fzs dark knight owner and chennai city commuter for 4 months...my opinion...fzs is a master manipulator...watch closely...he targeted bike foundation like breaks, tyre and torque to power ratio...so you have absolute control and confidence over bike in any situation...so you are the lord of streets...even in speedy ride and speedy cornering and cuts, you have confidence and dont have fear compared to other 150 cc....so what is use of riding so fast with fear of progressive breaking and less cornering ability..if rtr is beast, fzs is lucifer.....
