    I've had a Tahoe since 2005 and just now am starting to have problems. I love the Propel gas option and heated seats. But I'm much older now and having problems getting in with the step up. I'm now looking at the Traverse, and thanks to your review I may get one. Thankyou

    We had ours for 3 years already and have 3 kids and a big dog, we all fit well and it rides super smooth. We beat it up a little and have taken it to Mexico on some pretty rough roads and it's held up great so far also only fwd

    That 2nd traverse is sexy AF. The body and trim all just flow together very nicely. It just looks way much better than any SUV put together. I'd replace that halogen fog light with an LED light. I knew that bumper color matching was gonna be an issue later down the line hence why I just get the 3LT. And I replace all my interiors with carbon fiber trims. To make it look even more luxurious. This is the best-looking SUV on the market. Very roomy, but not overly bulky or compact. For a high country that should've come with a powerfolding side mirror and i dont like the color matching exterior trim matching, to me i just find them ugly. I prefer te black exterior trim which is great for off roading and if it gets scratch or muddy, i can just rinse it off without paint chip on the exterior trim.

    I didn't really care much for the sunroof, so I got the 2018 3lT AWD, which has all of the features i want under 30 grand after tax and fees. I've been really happy with my 2 gen traverse. It has plenty of space and storage for all of my needs and wants. The high country model just didn't seem like a great deal besides the added power 3rd row and 2nd row heated seat that i can do without. The 3LT looks way much better, very sporty overall with the black exterior trim.

    Has the automatic start and stop annoyed you at all? I know some like it others hate it. Any opinion? Also, did you notice compared to the Honda Pilot, is the ground clearance the same or less than the Pilot? Thanks for the thorough review (it's helpful for dads like us trying to plan for the next vehicle).

    • @HubersRanch
      @HubersRanch  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn't bother me at all. If the engine is cold or under heavy load with A/C it won't kick in or if it stopped within like 2 minutes it won't stop again. You can also circumvent it by not depressing the brake pedal all the way or by having the vehicle in L for manual shifting. But for me it's responsive and I haven't had any issues or drawbacks from it. Then again in Switzerland, where I lived the past 10 years, it is normal to shut off the engine when at a redlight and such. Regarding the ground clearance I honestly can't say.

      Stop/start is a huge negative for me. It messes with your a/c, uses your battery to keep things running, and is just annoying IMO. And I don't care what they say, starters, engines, and other components don't benefit from hundreds of extra cycles. I simply disconnected the hood latch sensor to disable it, but there are modules you can install to disable it also. The 2022s have a disable button.

    I bought my wife the 2020 Traverse RS AWD (which is the upgraded LT version, but borrows some elements from the Premiere and High Country trim levels). We love our Traverse. Ours is a 2020 and we are already over 6,000 miles. How in the heck do you only have 6K on a 2019!? :-) Also - the tow package is nice -- we hauled a jet ski without issue and we also haul 4 bikes on our Thule bike transport. Digging your videos! Keep up the good work!

      We live rural, in a small town. We don't leave the town too often because it takes 2 hours each way so you always have to spend the night if you do a shopping tour. And just around town driving to the grocery store is like a 4 mile round trip. That's how the miles are so low :D

    • @HubersRanch
      @HubersRanch  ปีที่แล้ว

      When you put the gear selector into "L" which then allows you to shift the car with the + & - on top of the shifter. This is useful when you are driving a lot of mountain passes so that the engine can do the slowing down of the car instead of the brakes.

      Well they are pretty much the same vehicle, the GMC Acadia might be a bit more premium, I think it has a heads up display, fold able side mirrors but other than that same power train. So it's more about do you like the push buttons to shift, do you need those features mentioned and which ones look do you like better.

    my 2018 traverse just died down while driving, after auto shut off the engine does not auto started. had to call tow, they tried boosting battery, which i was suspecting, but battery is good and still not starting...probably the starter is gone! i think this auto on auto off technology takes toll on starter. we cannot even shut it off.

    • @darkftforce
      @darkftforce ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@keshaa2078 yeah, its the faulty starter...this auto start-stop function took its toll on starter. i took to the dealer and had extended warranty so everything was covered. dealer said its too early that starter breaks down (mine was at 115000 KM), there are vehicles with near 200000KM and no fault but you know its electronics + electrical + mechanical so anything can break anytime. btw it was total about $3500 expense including everything. i m sure you can get it done for cheaper outside the dealerships. so you are now experiencing same issue, means it will now be a known cause for Traverse.

  • @humbertopaniagua9704
    @humbertopaniagua9704 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    That’s why new cars come with a warranty. Because there is a human error element and sh!t happens. The transmission leak has nothing to do with how solid the Traverse is. There is no car manufacturer that does not offer a warranty.

  • @inteligenciam
    @inteligenciam 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You mention automatic pedestrian and cars stop. How does that work ? I own a 2020 traverse and can’t figure that safety feature 😆

    • @HubersRanch
      @HubersRanch  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sensors is the simplest answer 🙂 Basically when the car detects either (Green car symbol or yellow human symbol on dash) and the distance between them and you gets too small and the car calculates you aren't slowing down it flashes a red light up by the windshield alongside audible beeping and then it will apply the breaks for you. This to either just slow down if it notices it can maintain a safe distance or to a complete stop. I haven't tried it yet lol but It's good to know it's there because even if you are actively breaking and you aren't doing it hard enough the car will add more for you if needed.

      @inteligenciam 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HubersRanch oh ok so that’s. I’ve seen and heard the beep and red lights on windshield and yellow little person. But it won’t brake or slow down 😆 I guess it will one day. Thanks. I’ve got a 2012 and it’s been a great car. Mechanics say they are junk as well as all GM cars. I can’t imagine WHY they’d make this car with 3 rows of seats as you won’t be able to fit normal people in the car so it’s only a 4 seat car as that 3rd row is worthless. Personally I’d rather see a bench seat in the second row which would add a person more comfortably

    • @HubersRanch
      @HubersRanch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you would accelared gently at low speeds the transmission and car would shudder. There is a TSB out for that issue. First step was to replace the transmission fluid because apparently some batch of fluid they used was to lubricious, lol if that's even a word. And when that didn't work the next step was the torque converter.
