Aliens: "-to remember the Human Race who sacrificed their civilization to the point of near-extinct-" Humans: "We're actually doing alright. A lot of us died and we used up pretty much all our resources but we're doing alright." Aliens: "-to celebrate Humans, who, just when we thought they had made the ultimate sacrifice turned out to actually... and ANNOYINGLY... HAVE SURVIVED, despite literally EVERY SINGLE OTHER RACE that was invaded by The Swarm being consumed to the last member, and who surely will be a long while before they are able to rejoin the galactic commu-" Humans: "We're zipping around space helping everyone else that we can despite being in such a severely fricked-up state." Aliens: "-SHUT UP YOU ANNOYING SMUG SHITS."
A lot of HFY authors seem to confuse pursuit predation with persistence hunting. Pursuit predators chase down their prey to catch it, persistence hunters tire out their prey to catch it. A cheetah is a pursuit predator, humans are persistence hunters.
Humans have never been persistence hunters, and never tire out their pray. Most animals have a far superior stamina to speed ratio than humans. What actually happens is the pray overheats, and humans use their superior thermal regulation to take advantage in certain hotter climates in Africa. But outside of Africa, the vast majority of humanity never even used this method of hunting AT ALL because humans realize they are too slow to ever be able to run down a prey animal.
@@nadsenoj8719 Again, its not 'persistence hunting' it is superior thermal regulation hunting. This is why humans have no fur covering our bodies, because we have evolved in Africa towards superior thermal regulation in a warm climate.
I must admit, this made me tear up at the end there. The debt that is owed is beyond counting. The debt that is owed to the battered but unbroken humans is eternity, infinity, and forever.
@@soffren I would recommend it because I enjoy it and have around 900 hours in it. But it’s not everybody’s cup of tea. If you like Any of Paradox’s other games you’ll probably like stellaris
During Xenos conversation, it all just blurred into one talking. I just didn’t registered the name. A little style between xenos could improve the narration, don’t have to go full voice acting like NFY, just a little differentiation between text and speaking.
