      I really wish they'd bring back the Mazdaspeed engine as an option. As fun as the 2.5 with 186 horses is fun. You throw in over 260 horses in the same car, night and day. Although I have a 2018 touring sedan manual, which I love. I'll never get rid of my Mazdaspeed 3 or my Mazdaspeed Miata. The horsepower difference is just to great to turn away from. Thanks!

    I have your same model but in white. I love the white interior so much! I agree with all your likes as well! As for the backseats, I agree but my friends don't make such a big deal about it and it seems okay if everyone is under 6'0. I will say, there's an option where you can see your current MPGs, range till empty, and current mpg on the trip, all you have to do is push the button in that's located right to the left on the steering wheel. I hope that helps.

    I just spoke with Mazda and they checked several features you brought up. The first one was the flip up window showing your speed and you showed it also showing a sto sign. Mazda checked and the unit only shows speed, which is what I see as well. The second feature you mentioned was a heated steering wheel and Mazda said this is not available. I have the high-end touring model that you showed in your video and I bought it fully loaded and it did not include the heated steering wheel. heated seats, yes.. Just thought I would pass this information on!

    My parents got a 2005 Mazda 3 brand new off the showroom floor with 11 miles on it. Loved it every minute and would still be driving it today if a drunk driver didnt hit them head on 2 years ago (they are fine and walked away with just minor bumps and bruises), totaling it. They bought a 2013 ford escape on a whim because they needed a car asap after the accident. Had problems after problems with it. Today, they finally bit the bullet and traded off the pos Escape and got a 2018 Mazda 3 and couldnt be happier. Zoom Zoom.

      German cars are a money pit later in life because of silly engineering decisions like housing the timing chain so you have to take the whole engine apart to replace it. They actually wear out too because there made poorly. Go figure!

    Of course, it's your channel/video and your personal likes/dislikes, but I'll admit being slightly annoyed by your having many choices assuming a higher-than-base trim level.
    For myself personally, of course I'd prefer the Touring came with the self-adjusting LEDS, but I've driven for years without them, so not a deal-breaker. The cupholder placement issue is spot-on- my previous 2013 wasn't perfect, but it was much easier to manage beverages, passengers, and deal with adjusting audio at the same time. The reasons I've replaced my first '04 Mazda 3 with another one twice is how relatively sturdy, safe, and just plain enjoyable to drive they are for the money you spend... that little 2.0 was a great friend while crossing the US twice, even if some of the mountain winds in AZ were trying to push me around a bit. Yes, they're a bit noisy, yes, the suspension isn't meant for napping infants, and wheelspin and floppy seatbelts blocking the door were constant companions... but filling the tank was cheap, I was able to change the pads myself (alas, no more) when needed, and otherwise, no worries. Now with the 2018, wheelspin is gone, the seatbelts don't suffer from CFS, steering is still marvelous, noise and general fit and finish are far better, I've finally got a 2.5 under the hood, and it looks fast sitting still. Life is good!

    As far as sedans go, Mazdas are pretty dope actually. Something different for American audiences, but I’ve always found Mazda to feel just a little extra. Mazdas feel solid, feel like there’s quality to it. Even just how the buttons and knobs feel. Feels solid. My biggest criticism with Mazda here is actually their electronic system. Their display has always been IMO horrendously ugly. And I hear the guy in the video say it doesn’t really work with Apple. Or car play at least. I have this in my ford, and I don’t know who’s more to blame, ford or Apple, but the user experience is atrocious. I wish somehow ford would essentially just allow you to use their entire display as a giant iPhone display. It’s always been super clunky and glitchy. Many apps freeze, won’t load, don’t have a version for auto, and glitches like if you take a screenshot while pluggged in, iPhone takes 2 pics. I think Apple fixed this but seems to have come back. The whole integration between phones and cars seems to be kinda hard to do. Suppose there’s a plethora of legal issues too. If you crash with phone plugged in, is that ford or Apple to get sued. I guess I can see why it’s basically up to the auto company to make phones work in their car, not then other way around.

      I felt like the ride was ok...but yeah it’s not soft that’s for sure. I think the good handling is one trade off for that. I can’t remember if it was for 2017 or 2018 but Mazda said they did some changes to try to reduce NVH...but it still needs some. Some call it Mazda 3 Sport, Others call it Mazda 3 Hatchback. WTF.
    I just took a test drive at the local dealer and I can tell you it's pretty much like driving my current Hyundai Elantra. I just found a few things I didn't like about Mazda 3 Hatchback. Switching from Trip A to Trip B and back to total miles is controlled by a cheap looking skinny plastic knob, almost a size of a toothpick. Has any Mazda owner broke it yet?
    Also, all those buttons in horizontal position placed next to a coffee cup, that's just a diseaster waiting ahead. Any feedback on that from Mazda owners? I have a chance to get 2018 Mazda3 hatch with 3000 miles, for $17 000 OTD, is this a good deal?

    Do you think you will be able to upgrade Apple Car Play on 2018 Mazda 3 when it comes out or is it only going to be on a newer model car only?

    • @PrimeAutotainment
      @PrimeAutotainment  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I’ve heard for sure that you’ll be able to retroactively add CarPlay to existing Mazda6 models..since that’s the first vehicle that will offer it, but haven’t heard anything on the 3 yet. I would HOPE so since they all use the same system but can’t say for sure. Might only be available for 2019 Mazda3...

      Could you elaborate? Everything I've read has been overwhelmingly positive, the Mazda I recently rented on vacation solidified me buying this one *2018 Mazda3 Grand Touring w 9k miles, clean history too* as I need a new car but don't got the jelly for a Toyota Tundra just yet.

      @eliasabihaidar3050 Back when I got it, had 9k miles it was virtually a brand spanking new car, haven't had a single problem with it whatsoever and got almost 30k miles on it. Asian made and Mazda is a great company, so if the one you're getting is low(er) mileage with a clean history the only problems you should have with it are any that you'd create.
