I just buy one from Toyota as i reach home the engine light came on and it wont even go up my slope driveway 😢 so i carry it back for them i was very disappointed
I own this, and in my research, Toytoa Trinidad kinda skimped on features to keep the price where it is. There should have been lane assist, there should have been a 9" head unit, there should have been more buttons. This is the top version Toyota Trinidad offers, but the RoRo versions have everything, especially the hybrid version. An personally i think Toyota dropped the ball, they should have offered the hybrid as well, or a fully speced out version. Nontheless, i thoroughly enjoy it, its rugged enough, can climb where i want it to, and the PWR mode basically gives you full access to the ful engine power. I do not regret my purchase.
Your explanation on the dcvt is flawed.. It's actually the opposite.. Research on Daihatsu dual mode cvt... You explained direct shift cvt which is different from toyota
I think its coming but you have much better choices in India, like the Brezza. That has way more features than this, is more economical and is way more practical than this.
I get you, but to be fair as these type of engines go Suzuki makes pretty decent ones that arent as loud, more stable and sip fuel under pressure. The turbo 1L is pretty good.
This vehicle like 90% of that sub 4m dont make any practical sense and are just Millennial Mobiles with alot of flash and no substance( that digital dash for one, trying too give off Xtrail or Montero Sport vibes but its a cheap imitation. Did you know it does this stupid thing that when its your birthday it tells you Happy Birthday? Millennial's go crazy for stupidness like that). Unless you are single or you have a significant other(cant say spouse because that means you will have sensible cargo and this cant handle that) this car cannot carry anything beyond that remit, especially if you have kids(try putting a stroller, playpen and high chair in that and you will see what I mean). On the matter of the powertrain, that gearbox is not popular so its going to be costly and time consuming to fix(and dont tell me its a toyota so it wont fail, they do make crap gearboxes and this isnt a real Toyota anyway). The engine like many 3 cylinders loves a good long drink when you put it under pressure. Additionally that 1L engine is very vocal and loves to rev out at the slightest provocation(like CVT's do) , worse still it doesnt reach peak power until 6000rpm. Even though its a turbo it feels like a NA engine which is a pointless as sparkling wine. In summary this car is a waste of time and money and if you really need a small SUV, get a Vitara, its still in that size bracket between a Creta and a Venue and is the most proper crossover Suv in this segment. Its way more practical and even though it has NA engine its more efficient than this and has more power at a earlier point in the Rev range. Added bonus, when your warranty is done and youre feeling real stupid you can tune the engine to give the same performance and the pre 2017 Swift Sport so you can stand a better chance of beating that M5. You wont win but youll get to the madhouse faster.
