This man alone did a better job selling me on the idea on electric vehicles than mechanics and sales rep, great video btw 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾this one is the best so far.
Great video review. A electric car is ibmy future. Next, take the Couva flyover turn-off instead on the Claxton Bay turn-off to get to the Preysal gas station/ev charger.
Thank you RevTT for this hands on review test for the Ora Funky cat. No doubt the range will be extended when using Eco mode with regenerative braking. This is a big boost for persons experiencing range anxiety. Now I know what to expect from this car and hope to own one soon. Now to invigle Dean Wheels and other businesses in Diego Martin to set up charging stations!
Great video. Been driving an electric vehicle for over 6 months now and I would never go back to an ICE. Also, there are chargers at Brentwood, Piarco Plaza and Massy Motors Arima and Tobago
T&tec should install electric chargers next to their intallations they have along the various highways etc. The range for this is damn good, great review man
Looking forward to see your comparison of the range of what BYD will offer in a few months time with the Seagull and Dolphin. Also when I get in the Squad Solar I reserved from their site since last year. Got the hype for these cars from The Fully Charged show TH-cam channel. Keep up the good work and maybe we'll chat someday in Diego Martin. (Dean Wheels)
Imagine for real if you can have an array of solar panels on your roof to charge your EV. That would be the ultimate life hack. Granted they won't provide all the power. But even if they could be used to charge a home battery and from that charge an Ev. Free driving for lifeeeee lol
Have to agree with the other comments. Great video. Think you did a good job planning out the video and a realistic sense of using an electric vehicle in Trinidad. I would even go as far as saying that what you presented is an exaggerated daily driving situation in Trinidad for the normal person. This of course would prove to the public of Trinidad and Tobago how practical (in my opinion) a fully electric vehicle is for most people in this country. I would say lots more on this because I think Trinidad and Tobago is backward when it comes to the electric movement and solar power but maybe not the time and place. The last thing is, you should test drive the MG 4 (if you have not already) and match it to the GWM ORA 3. Not sure if they are exactly in the same category but based on what we have in our market should be a good comparison. I am saying this only because I test drove the MG 4. Would love to have a chat sometime.
Yes very true. After posting this video I have received many messages frim persons who were shocked that an electric car could reach that far. Apparently many were still oblivious to how electric cars work and their range. I have reached out to Massy to do reviews on some of their cars like the MG you mentioned. But no feedback yet. Maybe one day. Fingers crossed.
Why did you go down to the Claxton Bay turn off then come back up to Preysal? You could've just taken the off ramp at Preysal, take the overpass and take the 1st roundabout to enter the gas station.
Why are the GWM dealers offering the bigger battery version of this in T&T? The 48kWh one would make a lot more sense for our small islands and it'll be a lot cheaper.
Will you be calculating averange cost of ownership soon... battery change? That may conviince many.. am convince already since I live offgrid using lithium ion batteries , the energy density is amazing having switch from lead acid. Its costly though lithium ion that is.
I love the fact that you can save so much on gas with EVs, however, I would love it if they were made with realistic gas engine sound emulators and paddle shifters for a more engaging and traditional sort of experience. Some people (like myself) just love that old school feeling of hearing the RPMs climb up all the way to redline and the sensation of every gear change. "Loud when you want it. Quiet when you need it." That is what I'd love to see in future EVs. Furthermore it would be amazing to emulate any gas engine with the touch of a button. Imagine you leave your neighborhood sounding like a K20 and returning home with the LFA V10 sound. I just... can't imagine driving in silence and without feeling gear shifts.😂
hi .. I like your review on hybrid SUV I got a lot of information I have one question if is possible can you do a research and review on Suzuki Fronx SHVS hybrid I'm stuck in a rock on deciding a vehicles
Electric cars have a good case use for SIDS, but they are way too expensive to own(noticed you didnt mention the price in the video but in most countries for the price of this youre getting a fully loaded Seltos or a mid spec Xtrail which are larger cars than this), plus all that drama to charge at your house(youre house will probably need to be rewired which is so cheap😅), public charging is not ideal not only in terms of cost(people have found when the subsidies are gone public charging aint cheap) but availability. In most developed countries where they have way more chargers, alot of them dont work and the ones that do have 3 hour lines. My point is right now electric cars are toys for the rich and while small islands done have as much range anxiety the main issues still remain(btw if you had scraped that battery casing God forbid, they would have probably written off the car which is great for your insurance rates).

Another job well done bro, keep the videos coming
Not sure if anyone mentioned in the comments, but there's also a charging port at the new extra foods(basement) in Aranguez on the high way...
Great video bro. Fyi Mayaro has 3 charging outlets at Persads grocery Volvo branded. If ever you need another far away point. 😅

@@REVTT I will cross my figures for you as well.
This was a really good review of an EV.
Really great video. This was a brilliant demonstration on how to do range tests and EV car reviews. A+ Mr.TD47

I was told that they have the smaller battery version on the way
when we getting a review of the ioniq 5. Good review the price point for entry and charging is the only thing that's a hindrance.
Actually thought unipet brentwood had chargers inno.

There is a charging station in Elsa plaza buy Republic Bank good job with the interview I am a fan of your videos
One day I'd get me one of those, if only I could afford it I would. I tired spend money on gasoline
Can you do a video like this on the MG4 EV ?
Will work on it.
Will you be calculating averange cost of ownership soon... battery change?

So for those charging times in the video, how much was actually paid for the recharges on each instance?
