    I made the mistake of using a water pik in the first week, only because I wanted to clean any food out. I ended up getting and infection and had to take antibiotics. 2 weeks post op currently, gums still feeling tender…

    Great information. What do you do for your patients that are allergic to NSaids?

    Doc I just had all on 4 done. It has been about 2 weeks and my lower lip is still numb. My oral surgeon said that I will get the sensation back after few weeks. Is that pretty common?

    What is the estimated price per arch for zirconia all on four

    • @northtexasdentalsurgery
      @northtexasdentalsurgery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      assuming its a normal case, i'd estimate about $21.5k at our office. but prices vary tremendously based on the finish of the zirconia. i've seen some terrible looking zirconia and some beautiful ones.

      @@northtexasdentalsurgery All my teeth have been pulled back on May 5 2022 . Does that make the all on 4 price any different?

    I’ve been watching your videos before my surgery, in preparation of the day.
    I had All on Six four days ago. Day 2 was pretty good! Then Day 3 hit. Ow! Swelling, pain… apparently normal.
    I’ve been mostly drinking high protein meal replacements. But, I noticed the amount of fiber in those, puddings, cottage cheese, and other typical soft foods is nil.
    So I’m developing a list of foods I can purée that are higher fiber. Refried black beans, split pea soup, a purée of sweet potatoes/Yukon gold potatoes/carrots, prune juice, and coconut milk is good (if you’re Jewish, you’ll recognize the ingredients, minus the coconut milk, as Tzimmes).
    Gotta get some Tom’s, pudding, petroleum jelly for my severely cracked lips (hard to open my mouth at the corners).
    Positives: my gorgeous new bottom teeth; maybe losing a few pounds (needed to, anyway).

    When you say price per arch what does that mean?
    If you replace all teeth top and bottom is that 2 archs?

    I was just wondering why you even recommend or perform all on 4 procedures. Ask any dentist, and they would go with bridges and implants if they had to do it. Why would you shave down the bone on this all on 4 or all on 6 procedure.

      Crowns + implants + root canals = thousands of dollars, months if not years of time, dozens of visits to the dental office, but also a smile that is no where near perfect, unless you cover all of your teeth with crowns. And even then you can have visible gaps and uneven gum line. With all on 4 you are done within half a year, during which you only need to make 4-5 visits. And your smile is going to be perfect. No continuous pain, time spent, all to hate your smile anyway. Besides, in a lot of cases going the route you recommend is even more expensive.

      I had had some crowns for over 10 years. They started falling off, and the tooth underneath was completely decayed so there was no support for them. Rather than spend thousands and thousands of dollars getting more crowns that will probably fall off in a couple of years, I went with the all on four.

    So why do we have to suffer agony of those excruciating injections?
