Oh Penny I have so missed you. The video was well so lovely all those beautiful things you have made, the quilt for George was simply the best what a lucky little boy he will play with that for years to come. I remember you making Tommy the jacket it fits him beautifully. I look forward to seeing you again when you feel up to it. I wish you and Pete a very happy and healthy New Year, bless you both love ❤️ Christine xXx
Hi Pene lovely to spend some time with you, you were missed. Glad you recharged your batteries, but also kept busy crafting. It's what we like to do. The project bag for your daughter will be so useful and looked great. Now you have another one to do, for yourself, made me smile. The quilts were just gorgeous, and Pete's quilt shows us that there is no rush to get things finished and it's ok to take time with large projects. Snow forecast this weekend here in the north west, perfect weather to hunker down, grab a project or two, finish some Christmas cake, and relax. Take care both of you.
I just love your videos. Such a fun mix of craft, thought, stories and family. Thanks for sharing. We have a hot fire going, too. Love this time of year, snuggling under a crocheted blanket. And a cat. 🐈. See you next time.
Another wonderful watch Pene. Pete's quilt is fabulous, he's a lucky man. I'm the same age as you & I had to smile when you mentioned the 11 plus maths. Each weekend my mother would sit down with me & help with the problems. Well, her patience paid off and I did pass the exam ! Your fire & fender looks so cosy. A healthy & peaceful year to you & your loved ones. ( your blue jumper is going to suit your colouring so well )
Good to see you Pene your craft table is the best around 😊. So many things you say about school I can relate to. Maths 😢. The adorable mouse gone to a loving home 🏡. Happy, healthy new year to you & your family 🎉
So glad to see you back Pene! You are such a talented lady! I admire all your crafting but also your narration and photography. Absolutely fabulous! Thank you! 🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸
Brilliant to see you back Pene A happy and healthy new year to you and yours. You are looking so well btw the concentrating on yourself, friends and family clearly did you the world of good.I listened to your story whilst knitting sparkly Christmas socks for my five year old grandson…he loves handmade socks and will think his socks magical ! Your story from ten years old sounds like a wonderful Enid Blyton story we also moved when I was around ten and the house had an indoor bathroom and toilet so different from the outside “lavvie” in the back yard I was used to …luxury! 😊
So happy to see a vlog from you Pene. Your makes are beautiful as always and your vlogs are so calming. Thank you for sharing and best wishes to you and your family. I shall look forward to the cooking and sock knitting when you get timexx

Hi Pene, thank you for another enjoyable episode. You have been very busy with all of your crafting. I love both of your quilts, the clothes for Maisie are beautiful, and I could definitely do with making myself one of those large project bags. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2025.
Happy new year Penne and Pete so enjoyed the podcast I think Petes quilt is wonderful so much work has gone into it, I am the same age as you Penne so when you read your story I can relate to much of it, I especially remember trying to be able to repeat my times tables in infant school I never could even by the time I left senior school. Look forward to catching up next time.xx
Happy New Year ! So lovely to see you again. Love the quilts, both have such great fabrics suiting the recipients. I really like the circle panels on Pete's quilt. I enjoyed more of your story. Thank you.
Happy New Year dear Pene- you’ve had a very productive December! I especially love George’s quilt- and so does he! I recognize your wise owl from Louise Crowther’s lovely book- I’ve made my 3 year old granddaughter Dorothy Mouse and I’ve just finished making Dorothy a new outfit, the one worn by the raccoon 🦝 One of my planned makes for this year is Isabelle Giraffe 🦒 from the Wild Animals book for our younger granddaughter who turns 2 in July 😊
Lovely to see you back and to catch up on all your December crafting and visits. Was so glad to hear you are both OK and had just been having a month off. See you next time xx
Happy New Year. It was lovely to have a catch up with all that you have been doing. It is good to have a break from social media sometimes especially when you make videos yourself as subconsciously you're always thinking of content so it's nice to be able to switch off. Everything on your craft table looked wonderful. You are not alone, I talk to my toy animals and my plants and get funny looks and comments from Martyn too. Does it stop me? No. 😁
You're right about switching off Anita, needs to be done for me from time to time. Pete watched the video back and just before I said he would say something he said 'well this is where I would switch off' 😂😂 As you say Does it stop me! - Loved your dolls house story this week too. xx
Spectacular return on the eve of my little trip to see the grands. you are so calming and talented. Pete's finished quilt is gorgeous! I am so looking forward to the gluten free recipe and your sock tutorial. What a good excuse to find some beautiful yarn while away. As much as I always love your podcasts, I am really glad you granted yourself time away from media. Your 10th year was fabulous...a dream come true. Thanks for sharing it all. you were missed very much.
G’day Penne, ooooh I couldn’t wait to get home from work to finish watching. I had shower, got tea for us both….. you won’t believe it we had a bowl chocolate ice cream that was it 😁😂😂 it’s 8pm and 33.4 degrees C so hot 40 degrees tomorrow & Sunday 🔥🔥🔥☀️☀️☀️ isn’t it great being an adult no one to tell us “NO!” we can do what we like 😁😂 My dear mate Dennis turned 80yrs on 27/12 he can have whatever he likes I reckon 👍🏻 I so so so loved Pete’s quilt 💙 and everything else was beautiful to see Penne ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had giggle when Pete yelled out tea was on 😅 so good to hear his voice he’s active again 🍀🍀🍀 So loved your next episode of your story 👏👏👏👏👏 till next time Penne 🦋
Oh, Pene, it was so exciting to see your video!!! I loved the hat you were wearing at the beginning and I’m sure you knitted it. The projects, photos and videos are just perfection as usual. It was so nice to hear you read from your story. I knitted while listening and imagined you and your family exploring and settling into the new house. You bring such pleasure each time you “video visit” and I am thankful that you had some time for yourself and your family - to ‘think your own thoughts’ and create at will. On the other hand, I am always willing to consume everything you share and to think your thoughts as you share them with us! 😉❤️
So pleased to see you again Penelope. You have been busy behind the scenes with your crafting. The quilts are just beautiful and Tommy's jumper fits him so well and will keep the winter chill at bay. It was interesting to hear you talking about your 11+. We moved to Australia in 1964 but went back in 1966, before returning in 1967. When we were in England in 1967 I sat my 11+. I had no idea what it was at the time. When we were back in Australia, my Mum wrote to the appropriate authority and got a letter back to say I had not passed. I did find the education in Australia was behind that in England and not as good. So my 2 years in Australia had not prepared me for the exam. I do hope you and Pete are keeping warm and well. xx
I do think it was a funny exam to take. We didn't really revise and prepare for it after all, we just took it not really realising what it was. I remember you saying you had moved around the time, very unsettling but now you have summer!
I'm wishing you and Pete, and your family a very happy and blessed New Year! 💞💞💞 I love Mila's mouse and towel, George's quilt, and Tommy's jumper!! I'm enjoying your story too. Take care! 💞
Dear Pene, Thank you so much for this wonderful video - I thoroughly enjoyed spending this hour in your company! I loved so many things about today's program, where shall I start? Of course the mouse is just adorable! And what a chic little girl she is, I'm happy she's loved in her new home! Your life story is truly fascinating and thank you so much for sharing it with us as it's so thrilling to learn about those times and about your childhood and how things were and even seeing some objects from those days! The star of the show is definitely the Quilt, wow what a stunning piece of art! It truly belongs in the museum although I'm sure Pete would disagree and rightfully so :) The wee blue cardigan and the one you're making are very nice too - I'm amazed by how much you manage to make in such short time! I also love the big project bag, you know, the stones in a circle remind me of a crochet circle you know? Perfect fabric, I think! I'm always looking for more videos from you and it's not just your beautiful amkes, but also your laugh and those little expresiions and your happy stories. Hope you are well and sending you warm hugs from a summery New Zealand, Take good care, Marina
Hi Marina, what a lovely message from you, thanks. You're right the stones on the bag are good for a crochet bag. So pleased you enjoy "My Story", I suppose it is social history 😂. I am pleased with the quilt - finally but I've enjoyed having it to do over these past years. We don't have to rush at things do we. See you soon and hugs received. Freezing here so imagining lovely warm summer sun. xx
@ the pleasure is all mine! I wish my grandma was alive and I could tell her about you and your crafts! She’s the one who taught me to see and knit and I miss her dearly. Watching you reminds me of her.
Happy New Year, Pene. It's so lovely to see you. I'm glad you've had a restful December and enjoyed making all the beautiful things. Pete's quilt is stunning! Kim's project bag is so useful. The children looked thrilled with Nanny made gifts. Precious family time, priceless. We had a quiet family Christmas. Our son and daughter in law arrived home safely, from a year travelling. That was the highlight. I'm slowly recovering from a horrible virus, so very little crafting. A few things in the pipeline. Take care, see you in the next one. Xx
So lovely to have your son home safely, but so sorry you have had a horrible virus, they do knock you for six now, hope you feel better soon. Take care, xx
Good evening Penny, Hope you have a very happy and healthy New year. It's good to see you tonight. You've been very busy although you say resting. Enjoying seeing your makes and hearing your story and news. Thank you and take care. I live in a small village in South Yorkshire, although it's growing now with new housing. Originally from Birmingham, been here about 40 years, didn't know a some when we moved here but have good friends now. Take care, look forward to seeing you again soon.
Thanks so much Ann. How lovely to live in Yorkshire and I know what you mean about new housing. We are getting joined up with next towns and it's like a maze now getting out of Thanet. We love Yorkshire and used to visit quite a bit. I moved from London 40 years ago and of course feel at home here now like you. See you soon. xx
An absolute delight to see you again Penne.Just wonderful how you think things through when making things.I learnt a lot from this video as i always do. Thank you, Julie❤
Happy new year to you both, such a treat to watch and listen to you. I revisit your posts often, and learn so much. Thank you for being brave enough to do this. I for one have learnt lots of tips and inspiration.
Hi penny, I've just come across your video. My mother started writing her story. It kept her occupied in her later years in between knitting and crochet. I'm hopeless with figures too, I've tried quilting and not put the bindings on yet. I thought the quilts you have shown would take a lot of maths to work it all out. Thank you for sharing xxx
Hi Pam, I have done an episode on how to bind a quilt - Episode 112 if you are interested. My earlier episodes included my mum telling her story. I was so pleased to learn so much from her. Yes, quilting helps with maths but at least you don't have to learn it by rote!. Thanks so much for getting in touch. See you soon. xx
Happy New Year, Penny! It's so good to see you again. Your projects are lovely, and Pete's quilt is stunning! I look forward to all your videos! I hope you and Pete's have a wonderful year. Best wishes from Oregon, USA I always enjoy your film clips at the end of your videos.
Thanks so much Carla, lovely to hear from you all the way from Oregon. xx By the way the films are in a playlist of their own, so just music if you fancied some quiet time. xx
Hi lovely to see you again you make beautiful things I love your bags I like yours with the ladies on it, would love one off yours hope you don’t think I’m being cheeky asking x
It's a lovely feeling getting things finished. I find putting them on my table and working through one by one is a great way of doing it. Thanks Pauline. xx
G’day Penne, ohhhhh I was so pleased to see you pop in this morning, I got a real happy surprise I’ve been concerned you and Pete were ok 🍀🍀 relieved I am and settled again 🍀🍀 I’ve only got to watch a few minutes of this episode and just like Maisy I am out the door to get to work first day back for 2025. I’ll catch up with you again when I get settled back home this evening 👍🏻 Again so pleased you’re all ok ❣️🇦🇺
Happy new year to your community. I am sitting in Ontario on a cold wintery and blustery day recovering from COVID over last 2 weeks. Trying to feel well. Great to catch up, it is like visiting a long time friend. Wishing you well
So lovely to see you!!! I kept thinking about you and so happy you were able to spend precious moments with your family. I love the scarf. Can you tell me the name of the pattern? Enjoyed your story and your grandson looks very handsome in his new jumper! Much love-Bonnie
Oh Penne, I have been SO worried about you! Here I am, all the way across the pond, and have no way to reach you, to see if you and Pete are okay. I checked daily to see if you had posted. I was thrilled to see your video pop up today! So nice to see you have been busy and crafting, and also taking some much needed time for yourself. Happy New Year my friend! XO Kris
Good to see you back. In your next episode could you please tell me what the name of the pattern is, of that lovely cardi you made for your grandson. Many thanks. .
Just yesterday I went and checked I hadn't missed a chinwag in amongst all the Ylogmasses and Twixmasses! I was happy to see your comment in the community thing. Another great quilt, so beautiful. I bought the template but have not yet got around to choosing my fabric, your choice of fabric is so beautiful. Thanks for My Story, it's very similar to mine regarding the 11+ and not understanding the whys and wherefores except I knew I didn't want to go to the other school. all the best and Happy New Year. Jane. xx

You spur me on the finish all my half-finished things!! Hope you both have a happy and healthy new year. Xx
I'm just off to bed! Don't work too hard, see you later. xx
Blessings from Belfast x 👋 you look fabulous 👌!
Wow - thanks!
Happy new year to your community. I am sitting in Ontario on a cold wintery and blustery day recovering from COVID over last 2 weeks. Trying to feel well. Great to catch up, it is like visiting a long time friend. Wishing you well
Hope you feel better soon, keep warm. xx
So lovely to see you!!! I kept thinking about you and so happy you were able to spend precious moments with your family. I love the scarf. Can you tell me the name of the pattern?

Oh Penne, I have been SO worried about you! Here I am, all the way across the pond, and have no way to reach you, to see if you and Pete are okay. I checked daily to see if you had posted. I was thrilled to see your video pop up today! So nice to see you have been busy and crafting, and also taking some much needed time for yourself. Happy New Year my friend! XO Kris
Oh Kris, I'm sorry you worried. I will post under community from now on if I need a break. Lovely to hear from you and hope you are keeping warm! xx

Good to see you back. In your next episode could you please tell me what the name of the pattern is, of that lovely cardi you made for your grandson. Many thanks.

Tommy's cardigan is from The Twenty Second Little Sublime Hand Knit Book design 9. Take care Kathy.
Jane. xx
Such memories about school Jane! So pleased you knew about community. I shall use it in the future. See you soon. xx
